Global Database sales &amp; marketing platform offers a large business directory, holding more than 80 million exhaustive business profiles across 195 countries. The platform is automatically updated on a daily basis. It allows users to follow preferred profiles (either companies or executives) and sends instant notifications once their information is changed (e.g. post or seniority level, contact info or any other data). There are over 100 filters available (by industry, SIC code, company size, revenue, seniority level, years of experience and many more), which allow users to quickly find the exact contacts they need. It allows users to download contact information in both CSV and XLS formats. Global Database can be integrated with your Salesforce account and other CRMs (Slack, amoCRM, Asana etc.), Marketing Automation tools (Oracle Eloqua, Zendesk, HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp etc.) and Sales Development tools (Salesloft, Outreach, Close.io etc.). The large amount of data may cut both ends. Otherwise you are likely to create a list which is too big and unfocused. It needs control and a distinct ideal customer image so as not to be lost in the mass of possibilities.

The updates daily are very important to our work. We focus on viral and buzz marketing and that is why we have to target the companies, which are at a high growth point or introduce disruptive products. We are able to point out these hot companies in a shorter time than our competitors due to the frequent updates of data that are provided by the by the platform.

It may be less strong with very early-stage startups and individual entrepreneurs, which is occasionally the kind of profile that we target in some of the fashionable industries. Data is best on large corporations and existing small-to-middle business, so we sometimes must supplement with other data on the actual startup scene.

There is a high level of accuracy with the contact information particularly the email address compared to other sites that we have tested. This is the bottom line in the case of a direct marketing agency. Higher bounce rate is an indication of the campaigns of our clients beginning  with a better sender picture and higher possibility of engagement at the initial touch point.

**What do you dislike about Global Database Prospecting?**

The user interface, although practical, does not have a more modern, smooth look as some newer SaaS applications. It is more of a heavy database machine than a modern sales intelligence platform, so nit is a little more difficult to sell to our more digitally-native team members to use it comprehensively.

It has simplified the whole process of onboarding clients. It is now being used to perform initial business credit checks and compliance checks on new client prospects prior to us signing the contracts. This due diligence has protected us with a number of a partnerships which could have proved to be hard to maintain.

The richness of European company information is unmatched. We often conduct cross-border campaigns on behalf of our clients and the fact that we can easily draw continuous company and executive information in Germany, France and spain in one platform is and enormous time-saving tool. The financial data filters will come specifically in handy to ensure that we target companies that have the right budget and stability to our integrated service offerings.

The data is extensive, but sometimes it is a bit clumsy ton construct highly complex and multi-layered queries. It is not as easy as we would wish to save these complex searches as reusable templates by the whole team, which results in some manual duplication of our project type.

It helps directly on issue of market entry research of our clients. The richness of the API and native integration with our sales stack, and Salesforce, is extraordinary. The flow of contact and account information is flawlessly integrated into our CRM and will automatically enhance the existing data and generate new records with the detail required to have virtually removed all manual data entry in our sales staff.

The steep learning curve is caused by massive functionality of the platform, and new sales development representatives are faced with a steeper learning curve. They should trained to take advantage of the full potential unless they will only use simple search features and fail to realize the might of the power features such as the alert system.

We are very confident about the reliability and the overall completeness of the data. The fact that we are not the only users of the platform as other major brands such as Cisco and KPMG use the site is another reinforcement that we have made the right decision. Exporting of clean and well structured CSV files are a function of simplicity yet essential to our process.

This price fits on the higher-end of the market. Although this is good as far as the return on investment is concerned, it was a big budget factor. I would be able to envision it as an obstacle to smaller boutique agencies or to individual departments during their own license.

It has essentially centralized our prospecting. We have had the chance to cancel two other less useful tools and now our whole new business team operates based on a single, trustworthy set of data. The granularity of the filters, especially that of SIC code and industry, impresses us a lot. This enables us to make hyper-specific prospect lists of our creative teams. As example, we would easily hit all the sustainable fashion companies in Europe that that have more than 50 employees which is incredibly powerful to our niche campaigns.

The user experience is somewhat retro, and less user friendly than some of the newer sales intelligence platforms. Although it works, the platform could be easier to use and appearance-wise could be more user-friendly and visually appealing to use on a daily basis.

Other than lead generation, we often apply it in fast business credit checks. We are able to swiftly screen the financial soundness of a business before putting a lot of creative time into a pitch. This has helped us to avoid going after clients who would have been poor in terms of risk.

The most valuable thing to us is, undoubtedly, the fact that key executive can follow. The real reason that gives the ideal opportunity to get in touch is the immediate communications that we get when a decision-maker alters positions. It enables us to be among the first to send congratulations and this has increased our outreach response rates dramatically.

Although true in general, we sometimes have old direct dial numbers or personal email addresses in the contacts information particularly with smaller or privately-owned businesses. It is a small irritation, but it does need our SDRs to have an excellent backup strategy of how to reach out.

The size and precision of the global data is what really makes this platform stand out of an organization as we are. We strongly depend on the automatic updates that come every day to make sure that our teams on the automatic updates that come every day to make sure that our teams are not operating on already outdated information and this is important as long as we make big decisions on the strategic level. The heavy integration with our Salesforce  instance has also fundamentally enhanced our workflow, which now flawlessy drives qualified lead lists to the right sales teams.

Initially deployment and training cost should not be underrated. It took us more than two weeks to create and adjust ideal query templates used by us under our various services lines given that we had more than 100 filters. Enterprise clients should be brought onboard through a more assisted process.

This tool is what a global network like us will not be without because of the sheer global coverage of 195 countries. In case where an international client requires a campaign that focuses on a particular B2B industry within various markets, we will be able to comfortably rely on this one platform to collect of similar data in all markets.

The strong capability may at times give a huge number of results. Although the filters aim at reducing the list, a skilled user has to effectively drill down on the most relevant 50-100 companies without losing a potential gem or filling up the list with irrelevant matches.
