I like that Glass Register is free, which is great for our nonprofit because it gives us a platform for donors to give without additional cost. I also enjoy being able to set up multiple customized donation links and collect monthly and single donations all under one platform easily. This feature helps keep our expenses lower and keeps everything together, making it easier than having multiple donation locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think there need to be lower default options for the 'fees' portion. Standard platforms have a 3% charge and I think having the default at like 10-15% is a little aggressive. The notification portion and actual donation management is questionable in Glass Register. Lack of being able to sort and organize, especially batches when they get deposited to the bank. It is connected to Stripe, but Stripe then doesn't show the donor information, so there is no clean way to show what donations were deposited and when. The platform though being Societ doesn't connect with Sumac, which makes it inconvenient to have to manually add donations when they are both Societ software. Getting notified about monthly donations is difficult, because there is no differentiation between new and existing monthly donors. It doesn't integrate with anything.
