It's very suitable for processing operations like roughing, pocketing, drilling, and related features. **Recommendations to others considering GibbsCAM:** A good platform for simulating machining operations. **What problems is GibbsCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm observing possibility of how differently we could perform machining operations. I have had the possibility to try the same operation with changing parameters and then observing it. ### 2. Gibbscam has a system which is very user friendly to learn, and has features such as process storage which greatly reduces time invested to create machine code. It doesn't cost an enourmous amount to train someone to use their system. **What do you dislike about GibbsCAM?** All systems have bugs which are annoying but, I cannot think of any off hand. Most of the bugs I incurred with Gibbscam can be attributed to learning curve, **Recommendations to others considering GibbsCAM:** I understand that everyone has bias towards what they use so, I am not goona bag on any other system, I am also not saying that Gibbscam is the only solution that will fit your needs however, I am saying that Gibbscam is a very powerful & user friendly CAD/CAM system which is fully capable of delivering everything you need from creation to code. I do not work in a producion shop, most of my work is R & D, tooling, & one offs, and Gibbscam makes my job far easier, if I were running production Gibbscam would certainly be my choice. I could say more but, why? If you are looking at a CAD/CAM syetem that is easy to learn, and will save you time & money over the long haul Gibbscam will fit the bill. **What problems is GibbsCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Problems? Machining is all about problem solving. Gibbscam is a tool like any other, and as a tool Gibbscam helps me realize the answers to problems I face whether it be tooling or a part Gibbscam is a helpful tool. ### 3. Whatever your system is, you can sketch, design and mill / turn. It's so simple to use this program. You will probably find both language tutorials. We are also very helpful if you can't find the answer, you can call them unhindered. **What do you dislike about GibbsCAM?** GibbsCAM has no so well written documentation. There was no undo button in my version. But they were fixed, I heard. You have to improve your user interface. It's cool, but it makes animaton run slower when you try to add a lot. **Recommendations to others considering GibbsCAM:** Do not hesitate to take advantage of it. They develop themselves. They are developing. If you have any idea to improve the program, you can contact them. They're listening, they're listening. This makes your business much more valuable. Gibbscam Complete surface friction and editing is simple for me. He tried to compare the one quickly. GibbsCAM or SolidCAM. GibbsCAM wins for the time being. Some smart guessing functions can be considered especially for machining simple surfaces. We have to always be alert against "tool hitting" during entry or exit. **Recommendations to others considering GibbsCAM:** Especially for 3axis machining of simple parts, if this is covering 90% of your machining works, Gibbs is the best available easy understandable and adaptable program. Once you get the logic of using it, its really quick and fast to use. **What problems is GibbsCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't need a dwg format or a drawing program first create a 3d drawing then to transfer to GibbsCAM. I can directly draw and machine in one single program. Mostly machining simple 3d parts with 3axis. ### 14. When topic comes to being fast, no one could be better than GibbsCAM. You will draw, model and program your part in minutes. It's so easy. It also has so many users so that means free tutorial and helps. **What do you dislike about GibbsCAM?** They need to improve, actually they need to change whole of UI. Old design reminds me Windows 2000, new design imitates FeatureCAM, SolidCAM etc. **Recommendations to others considering GibbsCAM:** You can't find a better alternative than GibbsCAM if you finish your products quickly. It's user friendly, easy to use, if you used different products you don't even need to try to learn it because UI is almost same as other programs. It's also cheap so it could be one of the best price/performance product. **What problems is GibbsCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used 5 different programs in same part in a CNC Programming lesson at university. I was the user of GibbsCAM. We were trying to find "Who will finish quickly in right way." ### 15. You can draw, model and do milling/turning etc whatever your process is. Using this program is so simple. Probably you will find tutorials every language. Also their support is great if you can't find the solution you can call them without hesitation. **What do you dislike about GibbsCAM?** UI needs to be improved. It is really nice but trying to add so many things makes animaton runs slower. **Recommendations to others considering GibbsCAM:** It's a price/performance product and as much as researched I've found that GibbsCAM improves themselves more than one step for his last step. They're jumping. If you need to make your process faster you should try this program. **What problems is GibbsCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tried to compare which one is fast. SolidCAM or GibbsCAM. For now GibbsCAM wins. ( Maybe better user of SolidCAM would draw and make process faster ) ### 16. Problem is "how?" because animations are so smooth and detailed. Probably the best program for 5-axis machining. It's so easy to use. I like their user interface besides my intention was work for 2 or 3 parts but i did many. You can find so many tutorials online. **What do you dislike about GibbsCAM?** GibbsCAM doesn't have a documentation which written so well. In the version of mine doesn't had an undo button.
