Super dynamic and customizable for changing organizations. You can be up and running with integrations in nearly no time and the software can truly grow with the organization as your needs change. The only two things that I'd say I "dislike" are:

1 - reliance on the Aleph team for some changes - like adding fields via integration. some pieces of this reliance have been solved through an upcoming release - which I look forward to using!

2 - integrations are not "live" thus require manual refresh during periods like month end close. That said, the aleph team has worked with us to come up with a compromise on an upcoming integration update that will speed up integration refreshes and make this much smoother going forward. The best part of Aleph is that it pulls our actuals straight from NetSuite into the spreadsheet, so I get the flexibility of Excel/Sheets without having to manually export and reconcile data every close. I can drill down from any cell to the transaction level, which saves me hours of digging. Aleph gave me one trusted layer over all my financial data as a one-person finance team. My QuickBooks, Snowflake, Stripe, and Greenhouse data all land in the same place, and the Connect add-in lets me pull those tables straight into the Google Sheets I already live in. That is what runs my OPEX planning and budget-vs-actuals today. The scenario manager and calculated tables let me push my operating model in and get clean actuals for closed months and budget for everything after, without rebuilding it by hand every close.

The AI side is the part I did not expect to lean on as much as I do. Aleph Agent and the MCP mean I can query the same governed data from Claude and get answers I actually trust, including transaction-level QuickBooks detail that used to take me forever to chase down. When something needs to tie out, Aleph is the dependable path.

Getting a forecast in the exact shape I wanted took some back and forth. My budget table started out cost-only, so pulling forecasted revenue into BvA meant reworking how the operating model pushes in. Before Aleph, I had to prepare our management reports using several colossal Excel files, troubleshoot errors caused by external links, and hunt down tips and tricks to make my pivot tables display data at the most difficult intersections of our reporting dimensions. With Aleph, I can replace all of that with a few reporting templates in manageable file sizes, and I can delegate the work to colleagues with intermediate Excel skills. Aleph is THAT easy to use. I love how Aleph makes it easy to pull and explore data from various sources, like internal databases, NetSuite, and Excel models, and how easily it automates these data pulls. It saves time when updating and analyzing data and ensures accuracy. I like that Aleph integrates with both Google Sheets and Excel, allowing data automation setup to be extremely quick. What I like best about Aleph is how it streamlines FP&A processes by connecting directly with our ERP/accounting systems and centralizing data in one place. Instead of manually exporting data into spreadsheets each month, we’re able to automate reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis, which saves significant time and reduces the risk of formula or version-control errors. The Excel integration has been especially valuable because it allows our team to continue working in a familiar environment while benefiting from live, connected data. From a workflow perspective, Aleph has helped shorten our monthly reporting cycle and made forecasting more efficient. What used to require multiple offline files and manual consolidations can now be updated in a more controlled and collaborative process. Another benefit has been ease of use—the interface is intuitive enough for finance users who are not highly technical, which helped with adoption across the team. I’d also like to see continued expansion of planning and workflow features, such as deeper scenario modeling, approval workflows, and more customization within dashboards. While the AI insights feature has potential, its usefulness depends heavily on having clean, well-structured data. In practice, that means you need to invest time in data preparation before the insights become truly meaningful. Flexible, but with a lot more control than your usual spreadsheets. Data pulls automatically from tools like NetSuite, HiBob, and Salesforce, so you’re not wasting time on manual updates. Planning and reforecasts are quicker since everyone’s working off the same version—no more file chaos. Refreshes are fast, and the web version is really easy to use. Support (especially from Henry) is super responsive and easy to reach. The AI-driven commentary is genuinely helpful for analysis, and overall, the pricing feels fair for the value you get.
