Lack of SAML 2.0 SSO, role based access, and open API in standard contract levels. This software is unique in that they price by vendors and contracts v. users and modules. **What problems is Gatekeeper solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is still very early in our use of this system, but we are looking forward to a variety of efficiencies in contract lifecycle management, contract renewal notifications and negotiations, and managing strategic partner information/due diligence reviews. ### 2. This Saas product does require thought and set-up logic to make the best use of the tool for your company, but there is flexibility to enable you to learn as you go. **What problems is Gatekeeper solving and how is that benefiting you?** Multiple contact and SOW variables with a variety of terms and clauses that the other parts of the business needed to access, but many contracts that needed to be held securely. I would prefer to have a Master Record at the Supplier level and all related agreements (SOW, Amendments, Pricing Schedules, etc.) would be a part of that Master Record and have the option of not treating them as separate contracts. **Recommendations to others considering Gatekeeper:** One piece of advice I would offer is that it is important to have clear business rules in the form of an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) prior to going live. For example, the SOP should state clear and concise naming conventions of contracts. It is important to have consistency for reporting purposes. Also, since Gatekeeper charges by Active contracts, it is important to evaluate all Active contracts and consider which contracts should be listed as Archived. Gatekeeper doesn't charge for Archived contracts. **What problems is Gatekeeper solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Gatekeeper we have been able to gain visibility of all contracts as well as staying on top of renewals. There is a lot of functionality we haven't been leveraging (e.g. storing contract templates, eNegotiate, eSignature, approval routing, etc.) however, we are currently in the process of implementing some of these great features. ### 9. The Employee Portal made it easy for our national field offices to submit contracts for review, and the Kanban Workflows helps management stay on top of approvals and provide transparency into the negotiation and approval process. **What do you dislike about Gatekeeper?** Workflows can be challenging to set up if your objectives are not clearly defined in advance. This is less of a dislike and more like some friendly advice. **Recommendations to others considering Gatekeeper:** Gatekeeper pricing is mid-range but the features are high end. **What problems is Gatekeeper solving and how is that benefiting you?** We previously used a "contracts" email inbox with poor results. Gatekeeper provided order to the chaos and the Employee Portal allows anyone in the org to submit a contract without setting up a user profile and accessing the full management dashboard. This is obviously not an issue with Gatekeeper but for a small to medium sized business it would be useful to take this into account at the initial project planning stage. **Recommendations to others considering Gatekeeper:** Definitely speak to the sales team about your specific needs and concerns and they will help you find solutions that will work for your business through the system. The client service is amazing, very knowledgeable and adaptable to different business sector needs, understanding that there often has to be a use function business case that elevates the solution to more than just a legal team service. **What problems is Gatekeeper solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are so many areas within our business that had to be managed manually previously that Gatekeeper are helping us find ways to simplify and automate (eg our bi annual carrier compliance letters can now be sent through Gatekeeper to our relevant supply base with any ongoing discussions and even the signature process itself logged through the system), and when we integrate our supplier performance data against the contract terms this will allow our carrier management team to proactively identify opportunities to improve standards or lower pricing. ### 13. I like workflow flexibility, access control, bulk upload/update, flexible vendor and contract views, user management and dashboards. Overall, I like intuitive design, it helped our admin and end users to start using without much training. **What do you dislike about Gatekeeper?** I like all the features, but suggest having more flexibility and options to create additional dashboards. This has allowed us to be more proactive about certain contract renewals, develop greater insights into sources of funding, and **What do you dislike about Gatekeeper?** I would like to see: a) more options for customizing the labels on the navigation bar such as changing Vendor/Supplier to Funder (as we did), Entity to 'Branch" or "Unit." b) additional reporting options - e.g. by contract type c) from an end user perspective, I would like to see a more streamlined process when creating new contract cards so that there are fewer "clicks" between tabs and so that certain fields are populated by default with the option to change them via a dropdown menu. (e.g. set the default contract status as "live" with the ability to change to "pipeline" when needed. d) scrolling up and down the screen or left to right can be a bit cumbersome at times. **Recommendations to others considering Gatekeeper:** Consider whether you have the expertise internally to configure Gatekeeper to your needs or whether to engage the vendor team to do so.
