What do you like best about Front?

the ability to move emails to new discussions/email strands is great and eases organization; tagging emails with custom tags eases searching and resending emails for scheduling appointments cuts down on time spent manually typing emails Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

i wish emails wouldn't file on top of eachother when customers send new emails on old/previous strands, it gets confusing and things can get lost easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Adam,

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback!

We’re thrilled to hear that Front has helped cut your email workload in half and made it easier to collaborate with your teammates through shared inboxes, comments, tags, and message templates.

We also appreciate your feedback about new emails sometimes being grouped into existing threads. This is due to how threading works in Front.

"A Powerful Tool for Team Collaboration and Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Front?

When I started using Front, I rarely open my Gmail account now. For me, it’s the best alternative to Gmail. This app helps me organize and track all my important emails in a very customer-friendly interface, and it’s also very easy to navigate.

It has a lot of features, and I can integrate different tools that help me streamline my tasks. My favorite feature is the team collaboration option, where I can easily tag or loop in my team on any email thread or discussion. I especially like being able to see whether my emails have been viewed/read, which is very helpful for monitoring client and vendor responses.

Overall, I love Front, and I hope it can be available for personal use as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

I feel like I haven’t fully maximized Front’s potential yet, especially when it comes to AI integrations, since I’m not sure whether those are available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Front Experience"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Front?

What I like best about Front is how it brings email and team collaboration together in one place. The shared inboxes, internal comments, and clear assignment of messages help our team stay organized and aligned without needing to forward emails or rely on external chat tools. It makes communication faster, more transparent, and much easier to manage at scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

One thing I dislike about Front is that some advanced features—like certain integrations or automation capabilities—can be a bit restrictive or require higher-tier plans. Additionally, while the platform is generally intuitive, there can be a learning curve for new users unfamiliar with the shared inbox concept. More in-app guidance or clearer error messages would help improve the onboarding experience and avoid missteps, especially around automation rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Otto B of Front

Thank you for your thoughtful review highlighting how Front brings together email and team collaboration to improve your communication workflow! We appreciate your feedback about our pricing tiers and onboarding experience - we're always figuring out how to improve accessibility and guidance for new users and this is helpful for us to know!

"Streamlined Communication with Powerful Collaboration."
5/5
What do you like best about Front?

I like that I can manage external emails while having internal discussions with relevant parties, which saves me a lot of time and streamlines communications. Front's ability to limit emails back and forth by allowing personal discussions within the same thread is really helpful. The internal discussion feature was a major reason for switching from Outlook to Front. It's my favorite feature and makes the setup user-friendly enough for me to rate it 10 out of 10 in likelihood to recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

One thing I don't like about Front is that there's a risk of accidentally discussing things with the wrong person if you don't check the participants in the thread correctly. This can lead to potentially huge mistakes, so it needs to be highlighted as a dangerous area that requires careful attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Otto B of Front

Hi there,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review and for the 10 out of 10 recommendation! We are thrilled to hear that the internal discussion feature has been a game-changer for you since switching from Outlook, and that it's successfully helping you save time and streamline your workflow.

We also deeply appreciate your candid feedback regarding the risk of accidentally messaging the wrong person. You make a very valid point—managing internal and external communications in the exact same view requires close attention, and we understand how critical it is to prevent those kinds of mix-ups.

I have shared your specific feedback directly with our product design team so they are aware of this friction point. We continually evaluate how our interface is used in the real world, and user insights like yours are incredibly valuable in helping us understand where we can make the platform safer and more intuitive.

Thank you again for your review. If you have any other ideas or questions in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team!

"Front had drastically improved our business for the better"
5/5
What do you like best about Front?

How easy it is to collaborate with everyone in our organization. The missing piece we needed was the ability to tag or leave comments within an email thread. It has allowed us to ensure things aren't missed and that emails get taken care of as needed. The rules, message templates, and other integrations are the icing on the cake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

There honestly is not a lot that I dislike about Front. If I had to pick one thing, you might lose a minor feature that you liked now and then when they are trying new things. For example, the middle column that shows all the emails used to have a trash icon on the right side of it that was removed. It's not anything that negatively impacts us, but it was a handy little feature while it lasted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Team Communication & Internal Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Front?

I like that our team can comment and exchange messages directly within an email thread without the recipient seeing our internal conversation. It makes collaboration feel seamless and helps keep everyone aligned and on the same page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

I wish there were an option to read emails without triggering a “read” status for others. It would be really helpful to view messages discreetly, without the sender or other team members being able to see that I’ve already opened and read them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Otto B of Front

We're delighted to hear that Front's internal comments and collaboration features have helped your team stay aligned and communicate more efficiently. It's great to know that having client conversations, file updates, and internal discussions in one place has been valuable for your workflow.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding read statuses. We understand how having the ability to view emails more discreetly could be useful in certain situations, and we'll be sure to share your suggestion with our Product team for consideration as they continue to improve Front.

"A Powerful Solution for Team Collaboration and Customer Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Front?

Front has significantly improved the way our team manages customer communications. The platform centralizes emails, messages, and internal collaboration in one place, making it much easier to stay organized and respond quickly.

User Interface / User Experience

Front has a clean and intuitive interface that is easy to learn and use. Features like shared inboxes, conversation assignments, and internal comments help our team collaborate efficiently and avoid duplicate work. The ability to manage everything from a single workspace saves time every day.

Integrations

The integrations with CRM and other business tools are very useful. Having customer information available directly within Front helps us respond faster and with better context, without switching between multiple applications.

Performance

The platform is reliable and responsive, even when handling a high volume of conversations. Search functionality is fast and makes it easy to find past discussions when needed.

Pricing / Return on Investment

While Front may be more expensive than a traditional email solution, the productivity gains justify the investment. Improved collaboration, automation, and faster response times have helped our team work more efficiently.

Support / Onboarding

The onboarding process was straightforward, and the available documentation made adoption easy. Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever we needed assistance.

AI / Intelligence

The AI features provide additional value by helping summarize conversations and suggest responses. These tools save time on routine tasks and allow our team to focus on more complex customer needs.

Overall

Front is a powerful collaboration and communication platform that has improved our workflow, team coordination, and customer response times. Its ease of use, strong integrations, and automation capabilities make it a valuable tool for managing customer communications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

While Front offers many valuable features, there are a few areas that could be improved.

One drawback is the pricing, which can become expensive as teams grow and require access to more advanced features. For smaller businesses, the cost may be difficult to justify.

The platform also has a large number of features and settings, which can make the initial setup and customization process somewhat overwhelming. New users may need time to fully understand workflows, automation rules, and permissions.

In addition, some advanced reporting and analytics capabilities feel limited compared to dedicated customer support platforms. We would appreciate more flexibility when building custom reports and tracking team performance metrics.

Finally, while the AI features are useful, they are still evolving and occasionally require manual adjustments to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Overall, these issues have not significantly impacted our experience, but addressing them would make the platform even stronger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Otto B of Front

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We’re so happy to hear that Front has helped improve your team’s organization, collaboration, and response times by bringing your communication into one place.

We hear you on pricing as teams scale, and we want to ensure our value remains clear as you grow. We know that Front's features can come with a learning curve, so we are continually working to make setup and onboarding much more approachable. Regarding reporting flexibility and AI accuracy, I’ve shared your notes with the team so they understand exactly where we can improve as they evaluate future updates.

If you ever need assistance or want to optimize your current setup, please feel free to reach out to our team anytime at support@frontapp.com. We're always happy to help!

"Front: A Blessing for Our Team"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Front?

Honestly, Front has become one of those tools I didn't know I needed until I started using it every day.

The shared inboxes have been a game changer for our team. We can assign conversations, jump in when someone needs help, and avoid that awkward moment when two people reply to the same email. It sounds simple, but it saves a surprising amount of time.

One thing I genuinely love is being able to leave internal comments right inside an email thread.

The automated rules are also worth mentioning

But honestly, the biggest win for me has been the visibility. You can actually see what's happening across the team — what's been handled, what's still open, who's on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

I don't have any memories of dislikes or frustrations with Front so far Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Otto B of Front

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review — this genuinely made our day!

It's great to hear that shared inboxes have been a game changer for your team. You've described exactly what we set out to solve: the coordination headaches, the duplicate replies, the lack of visibility. The fact that internal comments and automated rules have also found a place in your daily workflow means a lot to us.

And your point about visibility really resonates — knowing what's open, what's handled, and who's on it is something teams often don't realise they're missing until they have it.

We're thrilled Front has helped bring order to scattered client communications. If you ever run into anything or have ideas on how we can make the experience even better, we'd love to hear from you. Thanks again for being part of the Front community!

"Streamlining Customer Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Front?

What I like best about Front is how it centralizes communication in one place, making it easier for teams to collaborate, track conversations, and maintain visibility across customer interactions. It helps improve response times, accountability, and overall efficiency by reducing the need to switch between multiple tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Front?

My main frustration with Front is that some processes are still too manual. As conversation volume grows, it can be difficult to quickly filter, track ownership, and extract meaningful reporting. Additional automation and more robust analytics would make the platform even more effective Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Otto B of Front

Thank you for sharing such a detailed and balanced review — we really appreciate you taking the time!

It's wonderful to hear that Front has helped your operations team centralize communication, reduce missed messages, and improve both response times and accountability. Better coordination and a more consistent experience for customers and internal stakeholders is exactly what we're here to deliver, so it's great to know it's landing that way.

We also want to sincerely thank you for the candid feedback on manual processes, filtering, ownership tracking, and reporting — this is exactly the kind of detail that helps us improve. Improving automation and analytics is an area we're always looking to develop, and feedback like yours helps us prioritise.

If you'd like to share more specifics about the workflows causing friction, our team would love to hear them — feel free to reach out at support@front.com. Thanks again for being a Front customer and for helping us get better!
