EnerGov is supposed to talk to Tyler Munis, but there are issues with how it talks to one another **What do you dislike about Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing?** It creates duplicate invoices and double payments, which is quite troubling. There is a lot of manually work to be done to fix these issues, in addition to the speed of the permit processing, which causes alot of concerns with the public. We went live in February 2022, and it should have been tested more in depth and now the unnecessary work is spiraling out of control. **What problems is Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Most of EnerGov staff are fairly new and don't have a great grasp of the system in itself. Are on employees will be traveling to a city (of similar size) to see how they fixed the issues and if a temporary band-aid is necessary. ### 2. The sales staff routinely over-promise and under-deliver. We have been plagued with issues since deployment over 5 years ago. It has never worked properly **What problems is Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing solving and how is that benefiting you?** It does allow us to process and track permits and inspections. However, the complexity of the software and it's unreliability have left us with more problems than solutions. ### 3. Their development teams make a concerted effort to understand and implement the best user experience and interface for their diverse customer base. You always feel that the EnerGov team CARES about you and your needs. **What do you dislike about Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing?** No major dislikes. Had some issues with implementing add-on prpoducts and not having excellent communication from the project team, but we worked through those and all was on-time and as-promised. **Recommendations to others considering Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing:** I highly recommend you talk to other municipalities who are users. **What problems is Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are implementing an etirely electronic business process for our municiaplity. This electively allows our customers to not have to phyiscally visit us, which is a great time and efficiency boost! ### 5. There is still a lot work that is needed in regards to functionality for our city staff to see the full value of this software. **What do you dislike about Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing?** The business license module is not fully functional for business at Carlsbad. Business license staff is not happy with the product. **What problems is Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing solving and how is that benefiting you?** From a GIS perspective, it allows the various city departments to work from one address source instead of having various versions of addressess across systems ### 6. Citizens can fill out one online application and then the application is worked internally. This has saved a ton a time, plus the citizens love the fact that it's one application. ### 8. Our current software Smart Gov is actually more user friendly with a better flow. We are hoping the intergration between the other Tyler products will make the transition worth it. ### 9.
