"EnerGov is a great municipal regulatory application!!!"

What do you like best?

EnerGov has the best support of any software company I've ever worked with in over 20 years in IT. Their development teams make a concerted effort to understand and implement the best user experience and interface for their diverse customer base. You always feel that the EnerGov team CARES about you and your needs.

What do you dislike?

No major dislikes. Had some issues with implementing add-on prpoducts and not having excellent communication from the project team, but we worked through those and all was on-time and as-promised.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I highly recommend you talk to other municipalities who are users.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are implementing an etirely electronic business process for our municiaplity. This electively allows our customers to not have to phyiscally visit us, which is a great time and efficiency boost!

"Im am the GIS Administrator for Energov at the City of Carlsbad."

What do you like best?

I like the that the Energov software is GIS centric. There is still a lot work that is needed in regards to functionality for our city staff to see the full value of this software.

What do you dislike?

The business license module is not fully functional for business at Carlsbad. Business license staff is not happy with the product.

From a GIS perspective, it allows the various city departments to work from one address source instead of having various versions of addressess across systems

"The Best software for permittig"

What do you like best?

The ability to issue and track permits anywhere i am located at.The abillty to see and result inspections with out having to go into the office

What do you dislike?

The code enforcement software needs to be more stream lined.

This is a great software to with multiple modules to connect multiple departments.

The ability to have multiple departments used the same software and see what each department has going on.

"EnerGov Streamlines Process"

What do you like best?

With the online portal a citizen can complete one application and it can be processed by many individuals internally

What do you dislike?

No ability to change a workclass after the case has been saved.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Streamlined the special event process. Citizens can fill out one online application and then the application is worked internally. This has saved a ton a time, plus the citizens love the fact that it's one application.

"Energov Review - G2 Crowd"

What do you like best?

The software is robust and easy UI interface for users.

What do you dislike?

The lack of including training materials. Tyler U training videos should be included in the cost of the yearly license fees.

Over estimate support needs and budget for additional support for training and setup.

We currently have not solved any real problems. Our current software Smart Gov is actually more user friendly with a better flow. We are hoping the intergration between the other Tyler products will make the transition worth it.

What do you like best?

New user, still have not experienced all of product's functionality, but very impressed so far.

What do you dislike?

Nothing yet. Too new to properly evaluate. Previously used Munis for code enforcement. Energov is a much better product.

Not enough exhibitors and unforuntately hearing thata lot of solutions is in the roadmap .

"The fog of confusion is clearing"

What do you like best?

EnerGov offers one place that all of our data lives. Planning, permitting, EvH, Engineering, which is what we want.

What do you dislike?

Updating, things breaking during updates

Do your homework, take the time for Discovery. Ask all the questions until you are satisfied

What do you like best?

The product is moving the right direction, but is currently lagging behind the heavy hitters in the work order market.

What do you dislike?

The set up is cumbersome and the multiple windows of entering the same data is unappealing. The newer versions I have seen coming will vastly reduce this conerns.

What do you like best?

Global search and reporting functionality. User friendly interface, strong online community for support issues.

What do you dislike?

On my current version 2016.3 and others I have moved from, the requirement to clear cache to reflect changes is challenging.

Mapping and inspections in field is easy as well as provides more detail than previous systems

support is slow to respond occasionally. They are bogged down with requests. White papers are hard to obtain.
