The disclosure triggers and other compliance related flags. Availability of the Day 1 tools is also helpful although having the information populate into the URLA would be preferable. Having used Encompass in the recent past, I was hoping it would have an improved user interface. The layout of the file in Encompass is not intuitive. You have to click too many buttons to get to the relevant information. Thankfully we are able to have borrowers complete an online application so we would not have to complete the application while on the phone with the borrower. Having used custom mortgage software in my last company, the warts of Encompass' functionality were all the more apparent. At the end of the day, the end user in mortgage companies will little say in making the platform more intuitive and user friendly so I guess change will only happen when a second platform threatens Encompass' dominant position in the industry.
