# What are the endpoint management adoption patterns among IT managers and system administrators in small organizations?

Hello G2 folks, I'm digging into how small organizations actually adopt endpoint management, based on the small-business reviews in G2's endpoint management category. Small teams buy differently, price, simplicity, and no dedicated admin all shape the choice. What we're hoping to understand:

There's a difference in how these two pricing models actually fail worth adding to the growth question already asked here. Action1's free tier up to 200 endpoints doesn't create a gradual cost curve as a small org grows, it creates a specific cliff at 201 endpoints, where a team paying nothing suddenly faces a full pricing conversation all at once. Atera's per-technician model scales smoothly instead, costs go up a little at a time as headcount grows, which is a much less disruptive transition even if the total spent ends up similar. "Did it still fit as you grew" probably matters less than whether outgrowing it happened gradually or all at once, since a sudden cliff is a much worse surprise to budget for than a smooth ramp, even from the same starting price.
