Edsby is sold exclusively to K-12 school districts, states/provinces or countries. It is not available for higher education or corporate use.

Edsby is provided in a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, and its annual cost is largely a function of the number of students it will manage. There is a one time, non recurring integration customization and training fee on initial signup. And there are additional fees for optional services and applications.

"Absolute Must Have for Any School"

What do you like best about Edsby?

Esbsy is an absolute must have for our school. It allows everyone from staff, to parents, to students to always be updated and make sure there are no missing details. As an administrator, having some much data available at any time is incredibly valuable. Student records, parent contact info, assignments, report cards, teacher lessons plans, anything I need to access is immediately available. Having the data and access also helps to keep everyone accountable. Teachers know parents will be looking at marks, Parents know teachers will be following up on missed work or absences, I know there are written records of posts and communication. What do you dislike about Edsby?

I would like some customization for exporting data. There's so much good information in the Edsby system, it would be nice to have more options for exporting or reports. Additional views or ways to export attendance data for example would be great. Switching between calendar views, number of days missed vs. classes etc, having some more options on how to view and use the data would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Edsby solving and how is that benefiting you?

Coordination between the staff is a huge benefit. We have multiple different staff groups dedicated specific activities or areas. A great example is our "Supervision" group. Staff can quickly see who is on any giving recess, post if something has come up or they need someone to cover, while other staff can quickly volunteer. Everything is visible and recorded so we always know all supervisions are covered and who is on at any given time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for your comments, Colin. Ask your Edsby customer success or account reps for options to achieve what you seek. For instance, you might qualify to test a new capability we're introducing that allows customers to push select data to their own SQL databases.

What do you like best about Edsby?

It's great to have an all-in-one platform. Support times have improved in the past year or two. Gradebook is easy to use and offers a variety of assessment schemes and other customization options. Parent communication options are great, especially the ability to send out digital permission forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Edsby?

Because it does so many things a number of them lack depth. Some bug reports are now being met with a response of "put it on the suggestions site", even when it's clearly not working as intended. There is a concern that new features being added are being put behind additional paywalls, along with some items that were previously included in the base price. Glad to hear you're benefiting from Edsby's breadth and customizability to your org's policies and practices. If you're encountering things actually broken, fixing them should not be characterized as feature requests. I invite you to ask your support representative to escalate your issue(s) if this happens again. Similarly, if you believe some things that were previously included in our base price are now only available at extra cost, please escalate that with your rep. I and other company leaders I asked cannot recall any time we've done this. We occasionally introduce new functionality and make it available for additional fees, but hope that you and others respect that new innovation requires continued investment, which comes with costs.
