I like using Dropbox for backing up documents because it allows me to access my documents wherever I am. I appreciate the easy-to-use drag and drop feature, which makes it very easy to upload documents without going through a complicated process, saving me a lot of time. The initial setup of Dropbox was straightforward, which was a plus.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The free storage space is limited, which makes it difficult for me to back up all my documents without upgrading my plan. Also, synchronization can be slow when uploading huge files.

I like the fact that Dropbox provides a reliable way to sync across multiple Macs in addition to it's backup capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

I dislike the limitation of 3 devices for the free basic Dropbox plan. That has caused issues with files not being synced as they are needed.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to struggle with moving files across more than one Mac (i.e., updating and replacing the older with the newer). However, using Dropbox to sync the files across more than one Mac has made this much easier and is all automatic. This saves us a lot of time :)

Only sometimes, Dropbox can be a bit difficult to manage when I have multiple file versions and large project folders to be accumulated.

I like using it to back up my most important data to the cloud. It’s very easy to use, and it helps keep my data safe and secure.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

The main drawback has to be the price. Google has better pricing. We’ve also had issues with real-time syncing when working on the same files with multiple team members.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is one of the cloud solutions we use to back up crucial company data and make sure it stays safe in multiple places. Knowing my files are secure there, I can switch from device to device, access what I need, and keep working on the go without constantly having to send files via email just to stay productive.

not much. i think the only feature i like is giving someone outside of the account access to upload files to.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

almost everything. everyone in my industry uses dropbox at some point. if someone wants to share files with me and my personal dropbox is full *because it fills up FAST due to low storage caps on free accounts* it has annoying pop up windows that block me from seeing or accessing the files that someone else is sharing on their account, and that's just to view them. i have had to open several dropbox accounts and have folks resend the links so i can view them. they are not stored in MY account, but it reads it as if it is. the security features are also annoying, they are confusing, multi-layered (you verify then it wants to reverify with even more steps, even though you successfully confirmed you have access through codes etc). flipping through files to view and go backwards is sometimes also annoying, it takes you out of the folder location and makes you re-sign in to view files you have permission to view. renaming files can be tedious as well, there's at least a 10-20 second buffer time to wait for the renaming to take affect before you can move on to another action. i've created links to media creators to use and upload their files to, and several folks said it didn't work or it wouldn't allow them to upload or they just received an error when trying to access the link. costly subscription for the most annoying cloud service ever.

I do not like the limitations on file size. It maxes you out at 2 gb. I delete files often so storing is not the primary use for Dropbox, but sharing is.

Dropbox is incredibly easy to use and reliable for organizing, sharing, and backing up files across multiple projects. As someone managing large design and video assets, I appreciate how seamlessly it syncs between devices and keeps version history. The folder sharing permissions and links make team collaboration smooth, especially when coordinating between multiple organizations or creative teams.

Occasionally, syncing large files can take longer than expected, and the desktop app sometimes needs to be restarted to refresh properly. The storage cost can also add up when managing multiple professional accounts, and more granular admin controls would be helpful for tracking shared folders and permissions across teams.

Dropbox helps me keep large media files and project materials organized and easily accessible across different teams and devices. **What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I use both Dropbox and Google Drive.  Most of my personal stuff is Google Drive because I'm always already logged into Google and it gives me extra storage for Gmail.  But I think sharing tools in Dropbox are better.  At least I find them better, you can send photos and videos and they play right in the browser.  Dropbox also seems to be faster with syncing the changes, but I can't confirm that.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

I wish they had a different pricing model, if you go beyond free, you have to pay for 1TB.  If you actually need the whole TB, then the price is reasonable, but if you only need 100GB and are paying for 1TB every month or year, then it doesn't make nearly as much sense for the consumers.  I think Amazon's model for it is better where you pay for what you use, but it's not nearly as consumer friendly.  There are also some little issue that bug me, like if you have a lot of folders and you create a new one, on top it shows a notification that it was created, but it's just next, not a link to it, so now you have to find the new folder in a long list.  The folders also don't show the sizes, only individual files, so it's hard to tell how much space each folder is taken up without having to download them all to a local hard drive.  I also haven't found a way to split one large Dropbox account between several local hard drives, if you don't have one drive that can fit everything.  There is a way to do it with 3rd party tools for Google Drive, but it wasn't easy.

**Recommendations to others considering Dropbox:**

Dropbox is a good solution, but Google Drive and Amazon S3 cloud are also good, slightly different.  I've heard various reports about transfer speeds for each, in my experience Amazon transferred files a lot faster.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping files between multiple computers in sync and having an easy way to share files, pictures and videos.  It also backs up my photos from my phone automatically.

I like how clean and easy to use Dropbox is and how well it flows with everything else I do. I love how it’s integrated with my computer and how easy it is to keep some folders in my computer and others online only to save on computer storage space. It’s so easy to introduce new people to it and it makes my job so much faster. I work with software that gets backed up and restored between 3 sets of computers at least once monthly and moving those backups to the other computers through shared folders is so fast! And if a computer doesn’t have Dropbox, I just sign in through the browser and drag files into or out of Dropbox. I use it heavily for work, to run a nonprofit parent group, and for a larger event I organize and it’s so helpful!

I pay for my account because I need the size and because so many people use the files, I want the roll back on the files in case there are oopses. And I have had to roll back files that were saved over and restore deleted files many times. So I love this feature!

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

Not everyone has Dropbox and sometimes it’s not as easy to share with people who don’t have it. They have to sign on to the website or follow links to get to the file where I’m just opening folders on my computer.

Using Dropbox online isn’t always intuitive. Sometimes it’s harder to find your folder than it should be. Trying to find where to find older and deleted versions of files can be tricky if you have never done it or if it’s been awhile but it’s not bad if you look up how to do it.

**What problems is Dropbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with different groups and sharing files with different groups. Moving files between different computers and having them on hand on my phone for reference. Always having my files accessible no matter what device I’m using and not needing to move files between different computers because it automatically syncs between them.

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I am a long-term, Dropbox Plus user, with a paid yearly subscription. I use Dropbox every day, several times a day, across multiple devices, computers, mobile phones, and tablet. The most helpful functions using Dropbox are the ability to automatically backup my computer, as well as the automatic synchronization of my files on Dropbox and my computer, to ensure I never lose any information. Moreover I appreciate the integrated tools such as the ability to sign documents or the Paper application to quickly collaborate by sharing notes and minutes of meeting. The file sharing is also very useful, as is the automatic upload and backup of photos from my mobile devices to Dropbox storage.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

One downside of using Dropbox is that when sharing documents with my team or other people, they need to have a Dropbox account and enough storage allowance, in order to access all functionalities of Dropbox. But not all people are willing to create a Dropbox account, and even less, take a Premium pay membership, especially if they are only occasional users, or just collaborating with me using Dropbox, but otherwise using other Cloud services.

Dropbox is keeping all my documents secured, it backs-up my computer which is a trove of information, and saves all my photos across all my mobile devices automatically. It helps me share documents and files, and increase my ability to collaborate with others, professionally and personally.

**What do you like best about Dropbox?**

I have been using Dropbox for about ten years, and it is a vital part of my workflow. I love how it enables seamless collaboration with coworkers and allows me to send clients their own individualized folders for photos and videos. As an ultimate digital organization tool, it is incredibly useful. I discovered Dropbox in college, and it was great then and has only improved over time. Setting it up is straightforward; it's very organized and user-friendly. I appreciate that Dropbox feels like having a flash drive with me all the time, especially off my phone, while allowing easy transfer across multiple devices, which is a life changer and game changer. I use the transfer functionality and the mobile app almost daily. The integration with iPhone and editing software for seamless uploads makes my task efficient. I can't think of any necessary changes, as it's near perfect as it is. I'd rate it a 10 out of 10, or even a 100 if the scale allowed, showing my high level of satisfaction and likelihood of recommending it.

Dropbox integrates with windows explorer fully and I can quickly get a link to share, a function which I use on a weekly basis. It's definitely a win-win.

Dropbox has been one of my most powerful tools for the last 15 years or so. It enables me to share files with others, move many files off my computer so they are saved by a provider that also backs up their servers. I know that every one of my extremely important files is saved, no matter what.

Additionally, the ability to have forms signed is very important for me, which I have that functionality with Dropbox.

The only thing that Dropbox used to have that I really liked and needed was the ability to place a large file to be viewed and/or downloaded during a very specific time frame (i.e., one-week, etc.) before it is unavailable. I disliked that that functionality was pulled.

This solution addresses my need to back up extremely important files, particularly those that must be kept for governmental reasons. Another advantage is that it lets me store files exclusively on the server, which saves a significant amount of hard drive space on business computers. This, in turn, helps computers run more efficiently. Furthermore, it makes it easy to keep older yet still crucial files accessible, as I can retrieve them simply by clicking on them. I developed a workflow to use comments in the Dropbox interface as tasks to complete following client review, and leaving detailed notes creates a very useful "paper trail" of conversations to review prior iterations of an edited video.

The tools to download large quantities of data are very rudimentary.  If I want to download a folder with a large volume of data to my computer (number of files is high AND there's a large total size of data) I either have to 1)use the Dropbox app which will force me to sync desktop with my entire Dropbox UNLESS I fiddle with sync settings, which is very inconvenient, 2)Download a zip archive of the entire folder via the web, which will likely fail, 3)Individually download each and every file in the folder which is time consuming, or 4)Download onto my iPhone or iPad via the Dropbox app and then Airdrop to my PC, which is both time consuming AND fiddly.

I use Dropbox to store documents and large files, including photos. I appreciate that you get free storage and, if you need more, you can pay based on your needs. I value the massive storage because it allows me to combine and store important documents, accessible from different devices as long as I log in. I rated it a 9 because it's unlimited if well organized.

**What do you dislike about Dropbox?**

If you don't pay for the storage, they automatically close it off, meaning whatever you had is locked in until you pay. The initial setup was pretty easy but could have been more easy if everything was linked.
