# What are the most popular idea management tools that companies actually use to crowdsource and evaluate ideas from their own staff?

Good fit for shift workers and distributed teams.   Which of these have you actually deployed, and what drove ongoing participation from employees beyond the first submission window?

<p>We ran a couple of these, and honestly the tool was never what drove ongoing participation, closing the loop was. People stopped submitting the moment ideas felt like they went into a black hole, and kept going when they could see what happened to them, even a "not now, and here's why." Two things helped in practice. Lowering friction, Sideways 6 living inside Teams meant no separate login, so people kept posting instead of forgetting the platform existed. And showing progress, Ideawake tracks ideas through implementation and ROI, so you can point to what actually shipped, which is what kept managers invested in running it. Adoption across this whole category runs low, so sustaining it is the real work, not the tool choice.</p>
