The OCR of line item extraction should not be an extra charge; if you need to use tracking categories, line item extraction is a must. The mobile app could do with improving from an accountant's point of view and DEXT MUST IMPLEMENT a drop-down for clients with multiple companies on DEXT. You're done. **What do you dislike about Dext?** Maybe it was a coincidence but shortly after Dext took over ReceiptBank my iMac crashed twice: the first time it happened I was uploading a receipt to Dext using Chrome. It went into a vicious cycle of opening up Dext pages in new tabs. I was not able to force exit Chrome and I had to crash my computer. It was fine after a restart. It happened again a few days later, but this time it was in the middle of the night, so I wasn't even doing anything with Dext, but upon restart I could see it was the same cause. **What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you?** Saves me a ton of time capturing, annotating and storing receipts for my business. ### 37. The most frustrating part is that support doesn't help. You constantly have to follow up, often speaking to a different support person who is not familiar and you end up giving up. In the end, I requested a meeting to work through the connection issues to which I was told they are booked out until the 12th of April at the earliest. (requested on the 31st march). 7 days have passed since I responded and have yet to receive an invite. **What problems is Dext solving and how is that benefiting you?** None so far ### 42. It can detect accurate details from receipts from gas station to restaurant to business invoices. After much double-checking, I don't have to verify the details unless the picture is very blurry or poor quality. The second big point in integrations with QB and Xero. Allows pushing transaction directly there. Then, the mobile app to snap and add is a great feature for clients. Separate tabs for sales, costs and banks are a great plus when working with a variety of data. Finally, on rare occasions we had to use their support, it's helpful and easy to reach **What do you dislike about Dext?** Keyboard shortcuts could be better. Current ones are unintuitive for me personally. At least an ability to remap would be a huge plus. You can't assign expenses to Quickbook projects, something that I wish to be added in future. Sometimes it doesn't detect duplicates and some team members had occasional wrongly marked as duplicates **Recommendations to others considering Dext:** It's a solid option for managing receipts. It has many of the essential features and will probably fill your needs but it isn't perfect. Its core is solid, has many areas to improve like improving integrations and duplicates but still a solid product. I haven't used personally, any of the alternatives but consider Expensify, bill.com and Zoho expenses. RB cannot seem to pick that up. **Recommendations to others considering Dext:** Instead of inputting receipts, speed up the process by introducing Receipt Bank to your business. LOVE the match function :) **What do you dislike about Dext?** When emailing in I can't send in a pdf with multiple pages as it splits it out automatically. The app is cumbersome now that I have to pick a user submitting everytime I go to take a photo. I feel like the new app requires more clicks to take photos than the last version. I wish it would just let you hit submit and then go back to the screen you where in (single, multiple, combine) so you can keep going. I'm usually submitting lots of receipts at once and this would be so much easier. **Recommendations to others considering Dext:** Use their support (they are great) and use their training.
