"Effortless Feature Flagging with Outstanding Support and Value"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

It is extremely easy to use and implement. Anyone can easily find the whats, hows, and whys on their platform and feature flagging approaches from their docs. On top of all that, they are delivering much more than what we needed from a feature flag solution, and for a very small price. We use their product every day and it made our products so much quicker and safer. Now we can even explore doing multiple kinds of beta tests and not worry about unfinished code reaching our customers. Last but not least, whenever we had an question or issue, they were very quick to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

That the company it is somewhat new. This means it doesn't have all the features others might have. That said, it is not something we miss, and they are quick to add new features and improve existing ones.

The truly worst part that I had to deal with them was a piece of software that is in beta. We had an initial trouble setting it up with OpenFeature, but it was just the initial setup. After that it went smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Impressive Experience—Absolutely Love It"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

DevCycle SDKs were easy to integrate into both our Angular frontend and Node.js backend, providing a great developer experience. User targeting functions seamlessly within our multi-tenant SaaS environment. DevCycle is handling everything from simple UI toggles to complex customer-specific business logic. The DevCycle team was highly responsive during our initial setup via Slack, and we’ve had zero issues since completing our initial integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

A first-class testing SDK or helper would significantly cut down on boilerplate, especially since our current approach to mocking involves intercepting several different endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dependable remote configuration and control"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

DevCycle provides a fantastic remote configuration setup to help us control so many different elements of our product on different layers - from testing, to advertising functions and much more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

There is not so much to dislike with DevCycle, perhaps the intermittent unpredictability of json editing inside the web windows - otherwise the functionality is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cobi Druxerman of DevCycle

Hi Dave, thanks so much for your review, I'm so glad you're having a positive experience with DevCycle.

As for JSON editing, we've definitely noticed the struggles there, so we've recently been testing out some beta functionality that turns JSON schemas into forms when editing JSON Variables and Variations. You should check it out, you can enable it in the Early Access panel in Settings. Feel free to reach out to me directly at cobi [at] devcycle.com if you have any questions.

"Streamlined Feature Management with DevCycle"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

I like DevCycle for its feature flags and how it allows my team to work on upcoming features without making all the code visible to users. I appreciate how streamlined it is and the ease of use it offers. I also like the data-driven insights and the features like real-time tracking and debugging services. The initial setup was very quick and easy, suited exactly for what we needed, and it performed exactly as required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

I think the pricing is a little high. Perhaps users can customize the features that they need and the pricing can vary based on their choices. Additionally, the documentation can get a little blurry and I can get a little lost in the complex features that DevCycle provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Feature Flag Management with an Intuitive UI"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

What I like best about DevCycle is how it simplifies feature flag management. The UI is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, which makes it quick to roll out and measure new features. It fits naturally into the development workflow without adding overhead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

As teams grow, maintaining older or unused flags can become a bit manual. Having more built-in automation or recommendations for cleaning up stale flags would make long-term management easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Feature Flagging with Great SDK Documentation"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

I absolutely appreciate using DevCycle for its feature flagging capabilities and dynamic configurations that often require scheduled changes. It's incredibly useful to schedule when certain features or dynamic configuration values should be activated, which streamlines our workflow significantly. I love the intuitive UI that empowers less technical team members to modify specific dynamic configurations without the need for us to develop a separate admin interface. The APIs and SDKs provided by DevCycle are exceptionally robust and reliable, particularly the NextJS SDK, which has consistently performed well in accessing variable values. When using server-side rendered NextJS, DevCycle stands out by clearly separating server and client-side APIs, which makes the implementation seamless and straightforward. Additionally, DevCycle integrates smoothly with our Kotlin/Java backend, enhancing its utility and versatility. The initial setup process was straightforward, facilitated by the very clear and helpful SDK documentation. These combined features and qualities make DevCycle an indispensable tool in our work, meriting a recommendation score of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

I'm frustrated that the events feature in DevCycle has not worked well for us. At one point, it even caused the site to crash, which led us to stop using it and switch to Google Analytics for analytics needs. It's disappointing to have a feature I can't rely on, and it's possible that the crashing issue was fixed in a later release, but this remains a major concern that should be addressed. "An easy-to-use Feature Management Platform"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

DevCycle has made feature flagging and gradual rollouts incredibly straightforward. The UI is clean, intuitive, and easy for both developers and non-technical teammates to use. I especially appreciate the visibility into experiments and the ability to monitor metrics in real time. Their documentation and support team are also top-notch — always quick to respond and very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

There’s a bit of a learning curve if you want to take full advantage of advanced targeting and experiments, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a powerful toolkit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Feature Flag targeting and useful Jira Integration"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

DevCycle allows one to create and integrate feature flags into the application easily. DevCycle also has an integration with Jira, which helps to bring visibility to tickets covered with a specific feature flag.

When the feature needs to reach only certain users, DevCycle provides a clear way to set targeting rules and always know who's able to use this feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

With the number of feature flags and environments that we have, it becomes challenging at times to quickly check the status of flags for a certain environment at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cobi Druxerman of DevCycle

Hi Tatyana, thanks so much for leaving a review, we really appreciate it!

We're working pretty hard to improve the at-a-glance visibility in the platform. We actually have Custom Statuses coming and will be making the Feature list view more customizable to hopefully make understanding flag status quicker and easier.

"Intuitive Feature Flagging with Stellar Support"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

I appreciate DevCycle's great interface, which is intuitive and simplifies the process of managing feature flags. The setup was very easy, making the initial transition smooth. Particularly impressive is the responsiveness of their team to questions and feedback, which greatly enhances the user experience. The feature flagging capability of DevCycle fills a significant gap we had in terms of controlling feature rollouts and conducting phased roll-outs. I also value the decision to switch to DevCycle over LaunchDarkly, as I have had a positive migration experience from LaunchDarkly to DevCycle, and I much prefer the latter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

I found the process of setting up tests specifically for myself a bit challenging and required some figuring out initially. Once I understood it, everything worked fine, but the initial hurdle was notable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Practical Features, Non-Intuitive Use"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

I really appreciate the usefulness of DevCycle for managing feature flags in our application. It precisely meets our needs by allowing us to work on new features and deploy them to production without making them immediately visible to all users. This offers us great flexibility, as the features are first tested by developers, then deployed to employees, then to selected customers, and finally to all customers. Furthermore, I find that DevCycle has been relatively reliable so far, and I appreciate its clean interface that is not overloaded with unnecessary features, making its use simple and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

The user experience for flags is not optimal. You need to gain a bit of experience, for example, to distinguish between a feature and a variable. Targeting is not very intuitive at first either, even though it comes quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
