I use Datto Workplace as my primary secure cloud storage and file-sharing solution, especially because it offers enterprise-grade security and GDPR compliance with simplicity. It's great for safely storing important files on secure European servers, which aligns with my data privacy concerns. The automatic syncing across my devices—laptop, smartphone, and tablet—is really convenient, allowing me to access files wherever I am. I appreciate the granular file-sharing controls where I can set passwords, expiration dates, and view-only access for shared files, ensuring sensitive information stays secure. The automatic backup and recovery features, along with built-in security tools like ransomware protection and version history, give me peace of mind. The initial setup was straightforward, guiding me step by step, which I found surprisingly simple even without being a technical IT user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The mobile app can feel a bit slow and clunky at times, especially when loading large folders or previewing files. It does the job, but it’s not as smooth or modern as some consumer‑focused cloud apps. A more responsive, streamlined mobile experience would make on‑the‑go use much nicer. I'd love to see faster loading times, especially for file previews and folder navigation. Better background sync optimization so files update reliably without draining battery or causing delays. Smoother scrolling and less lag when browsing through many files or folders. The design feels functional but dated compared to modern consumer apps. A cleaner, more modern interface with simpler navigation — fewer nested menus. More intuitive gestures: swipe to share, move, or delete files, like other popular cloud apps. Better mobile-optimized file previews for photos, PDFs, and documents, so I don’t have to download them to view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
