We now have an easy-to-use self-service ad platform, where advertisers, used to ad buying or not, can book a digital campaign on our websites in only a few minutes / steps.

DanAds has a dedicated and passionate team of Account Managers, Project Managers and Developers who are committed to our business and driving the success of our integration.

They have a solid approach to gathering requirements and developing solutions that meet our business and customers' needs.

**What do you dislike about DanAds?**

While DanAds has comprehensive out-of-the-box capabilities, some businesses may need to be prepared to drive required customizations. DanAds is a great partner when it comes to exploration and collaboration. But these customizations do require a high-level of involvement and commitment client side as well.

**What problems is DanAds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a method of self-serve ad buying for SMBs is critical to our Local sales strategy. Our aim is to migrate existing advertisers to the more cost-efficient self-serve model, freeing up our sales teams to focus on bigger-ticket advertising integrations. Our ad manager platform is also poised to be a significant driver of new local advertising business.

**What do you like best about DanAds?**

DanAds provides a best-in-class team of experts to build, manage and execute on our business priorities. Together, they have enabled us to answer the demand for self-serve capabilities and meet our customers where they are today. Having a dedicated team from DanAds has helped us to differentiate our offering from the competition and grow our business more quickly than would be possible in-house.

**What do you dislike about DanAds?**

Despite having a dedicated team to support the continued development of the out-of-the-box platform, there will still be a requirement to have an in-house team who is focused on and can provide customization guidance to DanAds. Clients need to go with eyes wide open and provide product, go-to-market, and business development folks to keep the platform moving forward.

There is a time delay due to differences in time zones, which makes scheduling meetings challenging. Still, we've never seen a degradation in service or responsiveness to support.

DanAds helps us provide an offering to local businesses and SMBs, enabling access to a marketing channel that has long been out of reach for many. This access supports market expansion and diversification of our customer base.

DanAds has been terrific in helping us launch our self-service ad platform and grow our business at Zillow. The account management, project management, and technology teams are great partners to work with. We're excited to evolve our offering over time and grow our business with DanAds!

There is some opportunity for DanAds to consider additional self-service tools for publishers to manage their business operations and marketing more easily within the platform. Our business has to scope additional technology suppliers and solutions to help us scale our customer support, operations, data management, and marketing efforts.

**What problems is DanAds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DanAds helps us serve more advertisers that do not qualify for our national direct sales advertising budgets. We're now able to work with more regional SMBs and help them get their campaigns live faster.

The platform works well for users buying advertisering for the first time. If you're a traditional media buyer/expert, it can be difficult to build out a larger campaign with multiple line items and products.

We've been working with DanAds on building out a self-service option for advertising clients with smaller budgets. The goal is to create a platform for these users that is easy to execute their campaigns.

The platform is incredibly simple to use. Danads are focussed on streamlining the process as much as possible. Account management is superb!

There isn't anything I dislike about Danads!

Thanks to Danads, we now have the chance to access a broader market, enabling us to connect with potential customers that were previously out of our reach. Moreover, the platform allows us to expedite turnaround times for customers who require swift service.

The ability for us to get support in both platform development and also GTM strategy has been integral to our adoption of the DanAds platform for our self-service needs.

**What do you dislike about DanAds?**

The downsides wouldn't be anything that can be helped but timezone differences mean its occasionally harder to get immediate responses.

Providing the ability for us to take our inventory to clients who aren't necessarily as profitable from a pure revenue perspective in an easy way helps us maintain revenue targets while not sacrificing operational overheads in managing them.

- Straightforward integration into server stacks allowing for simple product capability exposure to perspective customers

**What do you dislike about DanAds?**

Expedia has experienced a high turnover related to our aligned account manager at DanAds.  This has created some stops and starts associated with improving the business.  I will say DanAds has addressed this specific feedback and has aligned us with senior-level account managers, which no longer appears to be an issue.

DanAds has provided the technical aptitude and resourcing to provide self-service ad buying to Expedia customers that we would be challenged to provide due to resource constraints.

I love how prepared Dan Ads was with every piece of documentation I needed to make a decision and then move along and onboard.  The team gave me their full attention and helped us go live smoothly.  Once live, Dan Ads had regular meetings with us to provide marketing support and suggestions to help ensure our success.

**What do you dislike about DanAds?**

Nothing.  They are awesome.  I would just say that if you do decide to go the self serve route, to be aware that the sales don't come in without effort.

**What problems is DanAds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to be able to offer advertising to thousands of clients of ours who work with us in a different division.  Self serve is the only option.  We also wanted to bring in incremental revenue

They helped us build our platform at a time when we were unsure about which direction to pursue. We learned from one another. We now have a better grasp of where we would like to take our self-serve platform.

**What do you dislike about DanAds?**

They started okay but had gotten worse over time. There was an expectation that they would follow through with the initial service, which we genuinely liked. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We were unhappy with both the succeeding iterations of the product and the quality of service provided. They are not really good at account management.

**Recommendations to others considering DanAds:**

They are suitable for those looking at out-of-box solutions with little to no customization. Beyond that, they should consider other partners since DanAds does not offer flexibility. Minor changes/fixes are seldom accommodated, even if the errors identified are due to their product's limitations.

**What problems is DanAds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a white-label solution to help us with our self-serve platform. We now have a self-serve platform, which we launched ahead of our competitors. The issues we encountered along the way have been helpful as well; providing insight to where and how we can improve.

**What do you like best about DanAds?**

DanAds have expert knowledge in the publishing market.  Lots of firms can do self-serve eCommerce, but it takes a thorough understanding of the publishing environment to make it work, and DanAds provide this.  Their technical expertise and ability to overcome client challenges are first-rate.

**What do you dislike about DanAds?**

I can't really provide any.  They have provided us with a platform on which to develop our products now, but also with a 5-year road map to improved efficiency, cost management, and user experience.

**What problems is DanAds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are gradually evolving our internal and external mechanisms to increasing automation, and more efficient fulfilment. DanAds are integral to this process.

Sometimes there's long waiting time on questions we have. Furthermore, sometimes there's no pro-active approach to our requests. We believe they are the expert in the field, so we'd expect a bit more suggestions / ideas on how to implement changes to the platform.

**What problems is DanAds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Serving in-app advertising for a vast number of partners across the globe. Our main pain point is booking big campaigns with multiple countries and targeting criteria. We've improved the flow as of now, but there's still a lot to work on for the optimisation of the platform.

Consulting w/ their agency team was really helpful but we did this after implementing. Highly suggest doing this prior to go live to help w/ GTM.

We want to introduce a new type of advertiser to our site/s (performance advertisers). We've built a new product but the adoption has been slow (not due to anything DanAds did) so we have yet to really see the benefits.

We're solving significant internal planning and forecasting challenges, we didn't have a suitable system to do this historically. The primary benefit is timeline build and making solution available to our internal teams and resharing internal processes around forecasting & planning

The DanAds project management team was fantastic at leading us through platform design, testing, and implementation.  Their support allowed us to need minimal resources on our side to complete the project.

**What do you dislike about DanAds?**

The most challenging part only occurs occasionally when customers have issues with credit card payments.  Because DanAds is based in Sweden and is processing the payment we sometimes see issues with credit cards being restricted from making "international" purchases.  This doesn't happen too often and when it does the DanAds Support Team has provided excellent assistance.

**What problems is DanAds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Self-Service platform allows us to sell ad placements to advertisers whose budgets do not meet our usual minimum step in for full service.  The platform provides us an alternative way to service these clients, while establishing a relationship with them to hopefully upsell to other products.

Make sure you keep the customer journey simple - don't over complicate it. Use the features out of the box.
