**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

The one thing that I really enjoy most is the goals section of the performance module. We've found it very easy for our end users to navigate this section, and see the major impact it has on them utilizing it.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

We wish there was more functionality with some of the feedback options. Although Cornerstone offers some reporting capabilities around the feedback in the system (fast feedback, etc.), they could always build on that.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Performance:**

Make some more enhancements to the performance reporting. That's our biggest and current recommendation!

**What problems is Cornerstone Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we're solving is helping people achieve the professional goals they're looking to hit, as well as providing them with the materials and opportunities to see what else our firm has to offer to them. We're really working on trying to promote internal mobility at our firm, and utilizing the performance module is a big piece for us.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

The actual reviews are a breeze for users. As an admin it is good to not have to troubleshoot apart from the odd password reset (when they don't see the link) or the very rare issue. The alerts and wizard allows them to follow through and prevents them moving on if they didn't add information correctly. When you have a lot of staff all around the world this is a huge plus. It also allows us to set goals and competencies per department to disseminate the old school way which is harder to do with less flexible and more simplistic systems these days. The AM and Success Manager are also the best!

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

There is some inflexibility in the system that we do not like and the support team, even though improved recently with new systems, could do with fixing issues more promptly considering reviews are often all about deadlines and these issues can hold things up for weeks at a time. On saying that, our Account Manager and Success Manager are fantastic and go out of their way to help us use the tools as well as we can.

Do a thorough scope before you start adding all your OUs and metrics.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

The core of performance (reviews and goals) is solid.  We know it works and gives us the output we need and how leaders want to see it. 

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

Getting deeper into performance, there are some enhancements that would build trust with our leaders and the Cornerstone product.  Succession has a serious gap between helicopter view, calibration and Snapshot.  We have recently removed the helicopter view functionality from our leaders because of the confusion - what is the true placement?  When they don't update to and from each other, there is a lack of trust in the data we provide.  We also need more reporting options for in progress tasks.
We turned on the new dev plan UI and like the look, but there are some flexibility issues for us.  We want to brand the preferences/templates, but find it rigid.  For example, the Description field is confusing to our users.  They see this and and enter their full plan.  We want to change the wording for all fields to make it more customized for our users.  
Competency assessment report has the same issue - VERY limiting on customization and branding.  Our leaders are looking at other vendors to meet this need.  

**What problems is Cornerstone Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mid year reviews - can't wait for Conversations  to help meet this need.  However, you MUST have a "Draft" status available so we can use these the functionality for not only ongoing conversations, but also documenting difficult conversations.  Without an option for a leader to save their pre-discussion notes, the buy-in will be low.  The suggestion from the round table was to have the manager use One Note to document their notes pre-conversation and then copy them into the system - our leaders would absolutely not appreciate this "work-around".  The response would be - then why have the system.
So, while I do think Conversations will solve several areas, but it has to be usable for difficult conversations from the leader's point of view.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

I liked how easy it is to create tasks and update by extending dates and reopening steps.  I like the email triggers to help move the process along.  I like the continuous feedback feature.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

I really wish their was an email tag in the feedback response email to recipients manager.   The only email tag is for requestors manager but when our managers request feedback, we don't want their manager being informed when feedback responses are received.  We want the receipents manager to be informed.   Our managers complain about this alot.  It seems like a simple solution and it's on suggestion city.

**What problems is Cornerstone Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My CSM Riana helped me figure out how to create a task to go to managers only and not the staff member which was a cool work around to assign it to the staff but only have a section for managers which worked out nicely.  I wouldn't have thought it would work that way.  It saved the day for a task to ask managers for bonus recommendations.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

Cornerstone is a well developed Talent Management system that has a very robust list of features that are easily configured and branded to meet your organizational needs. The interface is user friendly and the "clouds" (Learning, Performance, Succession, Recruiting, Connect) integrate very nicely. Cornerstone is very customizable, brand-able, and configurable to meet many different Organizational needs. Customizations by Division allow us to support varying business needs. We support multiple co-op companies in our single portal, yet their experience is unique for their business. One of my favorite things about Cornerstone is the community--they have excellent staff and support team, and they provide many opportunities for Clients to engage with each other, network and share best practices and ideas. There is opportunity for clients to voice their needs and suggestions and they really listen to their customers.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

They have experienced some growing pains with their global product support team. They are vigilently addressing these issues with a redesign that has been improving the process for support.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Performance:**

We have found Cornerstone to be a great tool to help us engage and develop our staff.  It is highly configurable, and in such it's hard to discover all that it can do on your own. I recommend getting involved in the Cornerstone Communities of Practice, local user groups, and other networking opportunities. These are great resources to learn how other companies are harnessing the power of the system. I've learned and grown so much interacting and sharing with other clients. 

**What problems is Cornerstone Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily use Cornerstone for Performance Management and Succession. They have enabled us to implement a new staff/supervisor relationship model that encourages continual feedback. We've replaced our Annual Reviews with a process throughout the year. Staff and supervisors are building better relationships, work expectations and Goals are clear and trackable, staff are creating development plans, and they are getting the affirmation, coaching, and feedback that they need.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

I like the various options that are available for customizing the forms and tasks when creating unique performance tasks, feedback, etc. Personalizing tools for the individual companies that report up to Corporate helps to retain the companies brand and still bring all companies together. 

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

There are a few things that I believe need to be tweaked. 1.) When in Emails there is the Performance Task Assigned email...however it is generalized for all types of tasks that could be created. Example - I created an Off-cycle task and wanted that specific email to send, however I don't want it to send for other Tasks. 2.)  Would LOVE to have the ability to add additional "availability' to tasks that are already in progress and set the assignment date to be updated for that additional user group. Sort of like versioning but only based on availability and assignment date. That way I can run reports and view activity based on the task and not multiple others created just to add a user. 3.) I would like to have the ability to select emails about the task within the task set up. Not just the steps in the task. 4.) It would be great to have an easy way to grant access to using the Feedback tool AFTER completion of a task. Example: a learner completes a course or review task and upon completion they are now able to give and receive feedback. Maybe the next year all learners do the same to refresh knowledge on how to give/receive feedback and sign an attestation to be able to re-engage in the feedback tool.

**What problems is Cornerstone Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are just now opening up the Feedback Tool, and have plans for Development Plans, Competency Assessments, and the Conversations tool that is coming up. We are implementing these tools in our culture to increase social knowledge, growth through feedback, career development goals, and set us up for Succession planning. Hope to realize benefits within the next year as we approach the May 2020 performance review.

I really like that you can connect both inputs, and review them in the same space. It is easy to distinguish both as well as using one input for the other

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

There are a lot of restrictions that are certainly not expressed in the Help menu. For example, if you create a dynamic task and you have it open for a long time (maybe 3 weeks), every time you change some information for a user, (s)he will appear as a new one an get the task assigned again. There are other examples to share that I would love to discuss and solve with you guys.

**What problems is Cornerstone Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can ensure that all companies within our group get evaluated in performance and succession equally (the process is the same, the task is the same, that way we can compare evaluations among companies). We can also identify possible successors according to the given evaluations, and see if they fit in any other company or position other than the one they belong to.

A lot of options to configure, you can manage curriculums,  timetables,  make gamification,  studies...incredible

Possibly the price, a bit expensive, but it's a great solution and probably is the best on the market

I like the ability to create automated emails and schedule the reviews ahead of time.

I dislike the customization limitations, changing words to match with your orgs vernacular is almost impossible and comes at a cost that is very high for a seemingly simple adjustment tot language.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Performance:**

Cornerstone is good for traditional review process Employee then manager work flow. Gets a little wonky when you try to customize that process.

We are solving the problem of the old stale annual perf reviews and creating a culture of continuous feedback. Cornerstone allows us to launch customized reviews company wide.

I like the fact that I am able to customize each step of my performance review process and then add it to the performance review task, so I can make each task individualized to my needs.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

I don't like that I can't have employees create goals within a performance review task and have them approved by a manager; currently we have to have our employees create goals outside of a task to ensure they are approved by their manager.

We have benefited from CSOD Performance by being able to build a multi-step process for our employees to complete throughout the year all within one task.  We are able to track completion of one task rather than individual/multiple tasks.

Flexibility if the system.  Custom fields.  Groups to be able to drive tasks.

Reports!   Reporting out of succession is dreadful and incomplete as far as being able to provide individualized reports to managers to use with their team members.

Set up an outside data warehouse for reporting.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

Upside is automation. I can pull a report to check statuses on reviews and to check competencies. 

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

I would like the universal profile to connect performance, learning, and certifications. To track certifications I receive during performance review, I need to upload them to either Snapshot or the Certification Module which does not connect to performance, observation checklists, or the user account.  I need one central repository for significant documents for the user where all modules can receive them.

**What problems is Cornerstone Performance solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for annual performance reviews, mid-year reviews, quarterly meetings, career ladder/progression development using competencies.  This is our first year using the system so we have not had an opportunity to see all the benefits.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

The performance report its good. In general the platform is useful.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

I think it could be more easy for users to follow the performance process. Its not intuitive as I would expect. When you have negative KPIS like turnover its complicated to use. The marginal camp its not easy to understand. I suggest that you improve this module because its very important for people development.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Performance:**

In Mexico you dont have a good partner to implement this module. We really want to have succesfull with performance but really we need help!!! Thanks. I hope some be in touch with me.

Our desired performance review styles and features for numerous employee groups were customized with this product. We have different formats for different groups and the Cornerstone product has offered us the most flexibility.

I am not sure that I have found anything yet that I don't like.

Customized, organization specific goals, competencies and assessments that needed different evaluation types for multiple categories of employees.

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Performance?**

We love the new layout of the LDP interface and are preparing to launch but there are certain features such as being able to see who has completed the LDP in Reporting 2.0 we would like to see enabled. 

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

It is difficult to measure. Would like to do away with Standard reporting and easily measure employee LDP statuses.

Be sure that the end user is always kept in mind when implementing new features.

Community group outreach, compliance standards, intuitiveness among all age groups and general AI features that help to take out learning to the next level,

I think we implemented too fast. We should have didn’t mire time creating our process a d workflow up front. I wish Cornerstone could have assisted with that.

The progress bars.  As a manager its easy to evaluate how far along in a long goal and employee assesses themselves to be and is helpful in realignment conversations.

This system continues to struggle with intuitive usability.  For instance, there is are several places and ways people can enter or maintain goals, but none of these are connected or interchangeable.

Our Company uses Cornerstone OnDemand for our Performance Management and LMS. Because we use ADP HRIS all our information feeds into the Performance Management and LMS systems and Managers can view all their direct reports information. They can complete the performance reviews easily and assign any necessary training.

The system is great as is but it is limited in the customization you can have on the home page without paying for a re-design. However if you do have budget the customization options are amazing and can really allow you to brand the system for your company.

It is our one stop shop for performance management with link included for training for all our users. We are building out our LMS portion to move more training on online to allow employees to complete at their own pace.

What I like best about Cornerstone is the way I can easily track my progress in my career field. It makes it quick and simply for my manager give feedback on growth and setbacks.Any additional objectives needing attention can also be found on my dashboard as well.

The only thing I dislike about Cornerstone is the the setup of the website. I personally feel as if there is an extremely confusing setup for no reason. While many tabs can be easily accessed there are other things that don't make that much sense as far as layout is concerned.

I HIGHLY recommend Cornerstone OnDemand for all employers and employees. It's so easy to track performance as well as keep up with your won growth. It puts the accountability on the company as well as workers making it easier to reflect.

I don't have any "business problems" to solve per say. I mainly have only objectives to finish at the end of each quarter. Usually reflections to do of my own or of my direct manager and principals based on performance management.

Everything looks great on paper, but it is not well received by our employees and it seems to take a great deal of effort to implement different features.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Performance?**

Requires a full-time employee to run this system which we don't have. It is a little too complex and robust for our needs (500 employees).

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Performance:**

Hire a full time admin and designate someone as the project lead for implementation. We set this up with a handful of people giving partial attention to the project and I don't think we are making the most of its features.

Compliance reporting is helpful as well as the global search feature. The performance management team used to do everything in Excel and they are thrilled with the electronic management of this process through CSOD.

We just recently transitioned to the Cornerstone system from the Chex learning module system. Cornerstone offer so much data and so many options that it's easy to get lost in the information/lessons. It takes a bit to get used to, but once learned, the system is functional.

The system was a lot of work to set up and took a lot of time to input all the competencies and customize the way our company wanted to use the tool.

We were in the process of developing a new performance management process and implementing Cornerstone at the same time.  Make sure that you have your ducks in line on how your want your process to work before you start the implementation with Cornerstone so you know the tool can do everything you want it to do.

We were developing a new performance management program based on goals and competencies and wanted to streamline it and make it digital to get rid of all the "paperwork" and manual effort associated with reviews.    In the end, the system didn't really work very well for us because we could not get the back end algorithms to align properly even though Cornerstone provide a lot of special support for us.
