# What's the best embedded BI platform for software engineers building self-service dashboards in enterprise environments?

Worth checking who's actually behind each review count here, since "deepest evidence base" and "most relevant evidence base" aren't the same thing for this specific question. Tableau's 3,791 reviews are overwhelmingly likely to be dominated by business analysts and dashboard consumers, not engineers who've actually used the embed SDK, since that's who Tableau's reputation was built serving. Reveal's 63 reviews are a much thinner sample overall, but if it's positioned from the start as an SDK for engineers, a larger share of that smaller number probably comes from the exact persona asking this question. Raw review volume answers "how proven is this in general," not "how proven is this specifically for engineers doing embed work."
