## Cognito Forms Reviews
  ### 1. Makes work easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David J. | Lead proposal writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Very easy to make forms and keep track of information. Saves a complete record of all submissions and easily viewable

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Would be nice if there was a dedicated search button to look through all forms. Not a huge deal to select individual forms and then search, but would be nice to be able to search through all available forms for a specific search term.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

Absolutely worth looking into. Makes it easy to create custom forms and to edit and make changes as needed.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of our request submissions come through Cognito forms. We do proposal and contract requests, market material requests, login request. Everything we do gets submitted through Cognito forms and it is invaluable to our company.

  ### 2. Cognito Forms has helped us streamline our first tiem setup of multiple products for many users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

It's easy to setup, has a lot of great features, even their free version has a lot of great features. We use their first tier package and are very pleased. Unlike many forms, they have programming of if\then items and you can sub-form within the forms. Additionally cognition forms has allowed us to internally create a process for credit card purchases for our staff using company credit cards allowing our book keeping staff to more accurately update the transactions with the appropriate to of purchase.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Fee Schedule \ Monthly costs are not in line with what I believe they should be, I think the pricing structure could use a little work, but their Free Version works great and just has limited space. Their paid versions provide more space, and a few additional features that are quite useful if you need them. Pricing isn't bad, just the way it's provided isn't great.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

It's worth trying it out, I believe you will stop searching after using their forms.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for New User creation forms for clients, as well as specific ticket submissions to gather required information from clients for setting up various first time setup needs. This has helped us streamline our users ability to get us the information we need the first time, without needing to request additional information.

  ### 3. Perfect tool for creating forms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blair M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Cognito Forms is a very customizable form type that offers more than just a regular old form. Personally I like that:

- The form works great and without error about 95% of the time (the other 5% is usually due to an edit we did in our form which has not turned out as we hoped)

- It integrates with both Zapier and Stripe, both of which are essential to how we want the form to operate (lead generation and deposit payment)

- You can create forms within forms which is very useful for our purpose

- It embeds seamlessly into your website which makes our website look professionally designed and built. We use Wix to build our website ourselves and without a tool like Cognito Forms we would not have been able to process leads on our site.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Cognito forms is a tool that is 100% worth it, and there is a workaround for almost any kink you can find. However, I do wish that Cognito Forms would allow for follow-up emails in their application itself. Instead, we use Klaviyo and Zapier to produce follow-up emails, which is a great workaround, but would be even simpler if we didn't have to.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

I recommend planning out what you want your form to accomplish before putting it together in Cognito. That will yield a better result.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cognito forms is allowing us to convert customers without them ever leaving our website which means higher conversion rates for us. We also use Cognito Forms internally for Employee Satisfaction Surveys, and other HR related questionnaires that we send throughout the year.

  ### 4. Great way to collect information from prospective and current clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eboni D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Cognito forms is easy to use and it has so many additional features, specifically sub-forms which is a great tool. We use it for client onboarding and as a shopping calculator for what our customers might need. The export process is super easy and works great, and in addition Zapier integrates with a lot of different apps which is amazing. We integrate it with Stripe which means our clients can pay their deposit while booking. It converts a lot more clients than our old system which involved people having to fill out a form, wait, and then get a link to pay later.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

I am being 100% honest when I say that there is nothing I dislike about Cognito Forms. It is easy to use, allows you to integrate with a lot of different applications, and it also makes it easy to export. Usually, I am able to think of at least one thing that I dislike, but Cognito has fixed any kinks in their system, has great support, and does what I need it to do. Perhaps some wish it would be able to do even more, but for me and my team, it is perfect.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cognito Forms is helping us retrieve customer information, calculate the cost of their service, and set in motion an automatic system involving Zapier and Google Sheets. Cognito Forms has helped us do all of this and it is very reasonably priced. Compared to other forms (looking at you Google), it actually allows you to customize every part.

  ### 5. Great for client on-boarding or quoting if integrated with Zapier.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamila C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Some of the things I like best about Cognito Forms are:

1) You can integrate with Zapier which allows for lots of automation (we have made our entire quoting system automatic using these two together)

2) You can accept payments in Cognito Forms via Stripe (which makes it that much easier to convert a client "on the spot".

3) You can create layers of forms in a form (a sub form for example) and even provide calculations (we do so in our quoting form)

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

There is very little I dislike about Cognito Forms:

1) I feel their free version almost includes too many features (but less space) compared to the paid versions. I understand this is great for new users, but it makes it feel unfair for those of us who are paying more just for data

2) Sometimes our forms are too big and complicated which causes the entire "system" to become slow and choppy.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you are thinking that "there is no need to get Cognito Forms, because I have Google Forms", you would be wrong. Yes, Google Forms are great, but Cognito Forms is so much more. Rather than being a simple tool for surveys and questionnaires, it is a powerful pricing and quoting tool.

  ### 6. Works Well

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenn L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

I like that we can easily change current and add new forms as our needs change.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

I hate when I'm trying to organize forms and the side bar pops up if you click just a little bit off and wipes out your selections.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

It is the best way to manage multiple forms.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to track progress, get new lead information and share it easily.

  ### 7. Great program with multiple uses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah J. | Digital Accounts Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

I like that you can access the entries from the form at any time and can export them and save them for future use.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

I dislike how sometimes Cognito Forms is lagging and can be slow.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cognito Forms is great because it allows you to choose the fields you want to be filled out. It is important when I receive an audit request or contract request, that I get all the information I need without having to ask the person what they meant. Cognito speeds up the process and eliminates the unnecessary questions.

  ### 8. Hidden Gem

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

We would be lost without Cognito Forms! The versatility of the software allows us to meet a variety of business needs, increases efficiency for staff, and adds value for customers. Pricing is very reasonable for the paid version, but the free version also offers quite a bit of functionality.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

I have found nothing to dislike. The price is reasonable, the software is very user-friendly, and we have loved implementing this software in as many ways as possible.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

Highly recommend!

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to effectively make all of our student registrations and other forms for clients electronic, rather than continuing to use paper forms. This adds a polish and professionalism, in addition to making information more accessible to both staff and clients.

  ### 9. An Awesome and Feature-Rich Form Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henri G. | President, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Cognito has been an outstanding platform for us in the past two years. We have used it within several organizations, including educational and academic societies and nonprofits. The team is constantly working on implementing new features, which really never disappoint. The customer service is great as well! My favorite is part about the forms is the calculation feature, which essentially allows you to computerize certain processes and assign values to responses. These can either be shown on the front-end or be used internally. When using Cognito for recruitment purposes, we were able to essentially automate the preliminary evaluation of every applicant and assign a score to them. Overall, highly recommend Cognito!

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

There's not much here-- the embedding features could be more advanced, but otherwise, everything is top-notch.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Cognito for sales, donations, recruitment, volunteer sign ups, program applications, and the software is built in such a way that it can be easily adapted to any of those uses. It integrates seamlessly with whatever system you're using at the moment, and truly makes the entire process very easy-- both for you and your user.

  ### 10. Solid program

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer T. | LCSW, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Helpful way to make forms, evaluations and other basic needs for your business.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

HIPAA compliance costs a lot of money so using the forms for your clinical practice can be a challenge. But for educational purposes or other non-medical purposes, it is very easy to create forms.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

Use the free trial to test it out.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

basic evaluations and surveys.

  ### 11. Great Form Builder!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua M. | Owner, Executive Office, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Fast and easy implementation and works flawless 98% of the time.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Sometimes, you will receive an "internal processing error", which results in having to fill out the whole form again.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capturing client leads. Better conversion rates than with Google Forms.

  ### 12. Love The Simplicity!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily G. | Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

I absolutely love how easy it is to build a form and embed it into your website. We use this form for lead generation purposes and it helps tremendously to keep track of attribution for leads.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Honestly, it's hard to come up with dislikes for Cognito. It really is quite simple to use. Unless you aren't as familiar with code and embedding it on the website, it's straightforward to implement.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

If you need an easy form to collect customer information in a short amount of time, this is the product for you!

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are making it easy to tell when the leads come in, how the customer heard about us, and if a donation is to be made, it's easy to know who the donation is going to.

  ### 13. It allows us to input our branding very easily

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony W. | Owner/Consultant-Recruiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

  ### 14. Fantastic form builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith P. | Owner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Hard to say what's BEST. I love it's feature set, ease of use, and how good the forms look. I also like its integration with Zapier

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Not much to dislike. Only thing I can say is the forms didn't look quite as good on mobile in an embedded form.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

Try it. The free version is quite generous.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to create a registration form for a webinar.

  ### 15. Easy to make forms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

forms can be made and embedded into a webstie

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

the process of creating the form is a little clunky

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

Keep an eye on your storage limit. If you max out forms can no longer be submitted or some info will be lost in submissions.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i can receive data from wholesalers interested in selling our product, run contests for photo submissions, and so much more

  ### 16. Simple, Fast and Powerful Form Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim M. | Web Solutions Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

The build interface is extremely simple to interact with, enabling you to create great looking forms very quickly and easily. Cognito provides some very powerful features like calculations and conditional logic, and makes it easy to integrate payments. Integrations with Microsoft Flow, Zapier, etc, and your own endpoints allows for very sophisticated workflows.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Access to a full featured API would be icing on the cake.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

Simply try it out. You can build a form literally in seconds to give you an idea of its ease-of-use.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Cognito Forms for everything from simple data collection to complex web applications. This has allowed us to eliminate custom development for many business cases, drastically reducing time and costs.

We recently created a sophisticated permitting application that goes through complex workflows. What was once a process that involved dozens of paper forms, emails and phone calls, is now a fully automated, electronic process that has reduced processing time by weeks. All of it developed without any custom coding.

  ### 17. Easy and Flexible Form Tool with eCommerce

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie W. | Marketing Consultant and Publisher, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

This program can be used for a variety of form needs including paid and non-paid events. I has greate branding flexibility and can be embedded or hosted by Cognito. I also like the eCommerce capabilities.
The interface was easy to nagivate. It includes drag and drop functionality which means the end-user doesn't need to know how to code.

In terms of the flow, each part of the process has a tab which includes building, creating the notification workflow, and including any eCommerce features.

You can also create templates which is handy.

You can also easily export the list from the system incase you don't have a workflow set up which makes it possible to create follow-up emails through your ESP or CRM. See below note on dislikes related to the follow-up email capabilities.

I like that I had several CRM integration options which included Microsoft Flow so I could tie it into the Dynamics CRM.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

You can create response and notification emails but cannot create follow-up emails through the system. There are ways to created workflows through Microsoft Flow and Zapier which is ultimately what I opted for as the solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

n/a

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted forms that could eaily be built for different purposes. The forms in Microsoft were limited and included language that I couldn't remove. Other forms didn't include eCommerce with easy flows into Microsoft products. This one was ideal for Microsoft Flow.

  ### 18. Good value but isn't as user-friendly for our customers as I wish

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

I like the price point - it is very inexpensive and our company houses lots of forms here that could be quite costly if on a more efficient platform. Easy to organize our forms and review as well, and it houses historic information, making it easy for us to go back and view and compare old data.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Cognitoforms is barred from a lot of college campuses, where our customers / perspective clients are located, so this provides frustration for them and for us and seems illegitimate when they cannot access our forms this way. Also because it is so cheap it is also very slow to load. This is annoying in a fast-paced work setting.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is that being user-facing, Cognito Forms has allowed us to get a lot of information and house it long-term for very cheap. We're able to organize and find historic application data that zaps very nicely with other applications that we utilize.

  ### 19. Great Form Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Easy to create forms. Lots of templates for various industries. Very easy to integrate into client websites. The free version is robust and allows for accepting payments with Stripe with an additional 1% fee added.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

The styling is a little restrictive - more web font choices would be nice.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

If you are looking for an easy integration with payment solutions such as Stripe, Square or Paypal this is a great solution. I found customer service to be excellent and timely.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for non-profit clients who don't want to invest in coding to allow payments. Cognito makes it easy.

  ### 20. Simple To Use, Some Left to Be Desired

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jas B. | Major Events Specialist, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

The simple design makes it very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Can be time consuming to create forms that do exactly what you want. There are a lot of steps involved in duplicating information. Integration on the front end is easy, but then using that data as it comes in can be cumbersome.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

It works with Microsoft Flow! This is a huge advantage to our company as we use mainly Microsoft tools.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main use is for registration and ticket sales for events. The biggest benefits are ease of integration with our website with automatic updates and fluid/easy financial processes getting back to us.

  ### 21. Great Form Submission Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

Easy to Design Forms and ability to customize instructions to recipients.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

Lack of ability to call a live person when setting up account, although email responsiveness was quite good!

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

Try our a free account for a few days. Some features are available only with a paid account, but you get a good feel from the free version.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy tool for clients to submit work requests to us. Prior to the forms, clients might forget to include key information or attachments. With Cognito forms, the instructions are clear and with required fields, all critical information is captured.

  ### 22. Very easy to configure and great customer service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikas J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

It is very easy and intuitive to configure. Lot of capabilities for advance functionality. Above all, very good customer service!

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

It will be good to have more design options to make page more appealing

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Requests from external customers

  ### 23. Excellent form builder that takes a little getting used to

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon F. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

The forms integrate pretty seamlessly into any web page where your CMS lets you edit HTML blocks or add custom HTML. They are reliable and there's lots of config options. Obviously the paid plans are best as they allow it to be totally white label and not carry branding.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

The interface has recently improved a lot, but it is still one of those experiences that takes a little getting used to, shall we say.

**Recommendations to others considering Cognito Forms:**

Be prepared to get to know the system, don't expect it to be perfect first time, there's bound to be a setting somewhere in the three 'Build' / 'Publish' / 'Entries' tabs that you didn't know was there until you need it! Fortunately the support is good.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves us getting custom development work done! Easily put a response form into any page or blog post.

  ### 24. So far, so good!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

I'm pretty new to cognito forms, but I like it so far. As an admissions coordinator for an international education company, I use cognito to see all of our application form and interest form templates as well as completed forms. When a student wants to know their application status, I can search for their name in the system and let them know whether their application is complete or not. Ultimately, I appreciate that cognito enables us to make many types of forms, to see all the completed forms and also to robustly tag those forms so we can locate and organize them easily.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

When I conduct searches, the system runs a bit slowly for me. So far, that's been my only complaint.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When a student has partially completed an application, I can send them a link to that form rather than their having to re-enter all their information. It saves them effort and it continues to move students through my pipeline.

  ### 25. Great place to store a lot of actively changing info

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

We use cognito forms to track applications for our program, and it is nice to be able to see who has started, finished, and not finished their applications easily.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**

I understand that there is a lot of data, but the load time is often very long.

**What problems is Cognito Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use cognito forms to track applications for our program, and it is nice to be able to see who has started, finished, and not finished their applications easily.

  ### 26. Easy-to-Use Form Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Cognito Forms?**

The form builder is very customizable and has a wide variety of field types to choose from.

**What do you dislike about Cognito Forms?**
