Recommendations to others considering CMPRO:
CMPRO is a great product. The support from PSA is fantastic, they are always ready to help. They have an internal reporting module to report any issues or questions or requests. CMPRO is continually updating and upgrading to make things better or easier to use. The workflow module is extremely powerful with many different bells and whistles to workflow forms through approval stages. There are many things that you can automate by using workflow.
CMPRO is now a Role based tool instead of user based making setting up and maintaining privileges a lot easier. They have been working on privileges so that you can really narrow setting up users with different levels of permissions. This makes the administration a little harder but after getting it set up, it allows administrators to give certain users the ability to perform some of the administration (like for their users and workflows).
I have been the DBA for our instance of CMPRO way over 5 years and I have seen a lot of great changes and look forward to more.
For the questions below, I put N/A because I didn't know the answers. For pricing discounts, we use the GSA cost sheet. The cost per year is very reasonable with just maintenance charges. The licensing allows us to have more users than licenses, once a user logs off the system, it frees up the license for another user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is CMPRO solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to track change requests against many different systems. One of the best benefits is that we are able to pull several different reports and show different data depending on who the report is for. There are canned reports as well as reports you can create on the fly. My managers are even able to pull the report themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
