**What do you like best about Cloudbeds?**

Managing 4 properties across multiple countries could be a logistical nightmare. Cloudbeds makes it feel manageable. One login, consistent reporting, and the channel manager keeping everything in sync across OTAs - it just works.


What I appreciate most is not having to stitch together five different tools. Everything we need is there: reservations, rates, distribution, guest communication, reporting. For a lean team running multiple properties, that’s everything.
It’s become the operational backbone of our portfolio and I can’t imagine running without it.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

Honestly, the depth of the platform means there’s always something new to discover  which is great, but it also means you occasionally find a feature you wish you’d known about months before.

**What problems is Cloudbeds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Distribution and rate management used to eat time we didn’t have. Keeping rates consistent across channels, avoiding overbookings, reacting to demand across properties in different markets. Cloudbeds handles all of that without us having to think about it.

But the biggest surprise has been guest experience. Even for OTA bookings  where you’d normally know almost nothing about the guest before arrival  the pre-check-in flow captures real data. By the time a guest walks in, we already know who they are. That changes the whole interaction, and for a boutique property, that personal touch is everything.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

**What do you like best about Cloudbeds?**

Smooth system that allows me to bounce back and forth between different properties.  The daily revenue report allows me to see how we are pacing compared to last year as far as bookings go.

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

Clarity on finding different reports.  I usually have to ask the help desk for help.  No AI for pricing help.

**What problems is Cloudbeds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Top-notch property management system that allows me to manage bookings and analytics for my two properties.  I am the GM for both hotels, Scandia Inn and Nordic Inn.  We were using Cloudbeds at Scandia first, and I pushed to have the PM system at Nordic as well.  I can switch back and forth between systems at ease and find it to be meeting our needs.  This tool is easy enough to use by our staff for check ins and check outs, and is complex enough to allow me and the owner of the properties to have a lot of different data points to help us make high-level decisions.

**What do you like best about Cloudbeds?**

What a hotelier need? Organization and Intuitive management of the mass management. Cloudbeds does it the best. Everything is understandable for even new frontdesk staff.

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

Cloudbeds is always slow, I'm not talking (only) about downtime, but even when it is green in their status tracker, the data loads so slow, for each reload you have to wait at least 10-20 second stairing to your client's eyes like we're in 1998.

Also Cloudbeds is there, making money already 
I think they don't have the enthusiasm to overhaul and use new technologies like injecting new updates to the page without refreshing( that now exist just in calendar view). Last year I had written a review somewhere, and forwarded it to the support, but no response. I feel I got the message: " It is what it is".

Very smooth Integration of all channels in one place, nice calendar view helps us to assign the rooms correctly based on client's request. And intuitive to generate our HK tasks.

**What do you like best about Cloudbeds?**

Calendar and channel management is really good,  Can manage everything in one place. Also a great database of guests and guest history.

Easy to use & I use it every day

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

The font is very small and you can't increase it.
Too many complicated reports, need a few simple ones.

Not able to merge Guests eg Guest books through booking.com then next time Books direct say through Cloudbeds Booking Engine on my website, Cloudbeds treats them as separate guests and there is no way to merge (without paying more ?)

Booking Engine could be clearer to show vacancies or limitation such as min 2 night booking

**What do you like best about Cloudbeds?**

Cloudbeds has a great modern feel and is very easy to use. Going through their extensive library of courses helped me get a jump start in learning to use Cloudbeds. I was able to navigate the system, make reservations, and create reports after only a few hours of learning. It's a great option for smaller properties or a management business handling vacation rentals that only requires a few rates to be setup, packages, and minimal room types. It connects to a lot of OTAs (Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, etc) quickly and easily. Also take a look at the Cloudbeds Amplify program to boost bookings. The web booking engine is also fantastic (I haven't used the website builder but it looks great on the backend). 

Overall, I would highly recommend Cloudbeds to anyone with under 50 rooms/properties and starting out with their hospitality business. It could be used for larger properties, but as the properties grow, you're looking for some other features that Cloudbeds doesn't currently have.

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

There are minimal downsides to Cloudbeds. The main problem I have come across is trying to manage multiple rates. Cloudbeds is structured to have a main/standard rate, and then other rates are generally built off of it (+/- $ or %). That's fine for special rates to be given to AAA members which generally get 10% off, but not ideal when you're wanting to negotiate rates with different corporate clients or groups. The other feature that is lacking is a maintenance area to record problems and track repairs. Cloudbeds does interface with other software that can handle it, but I would prefer one system myself. The final few things are rather minimal. The reporting system does have basic reports, but doesn't offer a lot of information I am interested in (like how many reservations were made the day before). There isn't a good way to handle corporate billing accounts which tend to be important for larger companies. There is a work around to it, but not a great solution. The final thing is I tend to get annoyed with all the extra add-ons that can be purchased separately. I would prefer a price for a basic one and a premium price that includes everything available, rather than trying to decide what you do or don't need.

**What problems is Cloudbeds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The hotel needed to implement a PMS that worked well with the hotel, with the option to include separate vacation rental units at a different location as well as long-term stays in the off season. Cloudbeds resolved that issue because it is quite flexible depending on our needs and easy to integrate into our operation.

**What do you like best about Cloudbeds?**

The way I can edit my settings flexibly and easily, once configured, attending to my clients becomes very quick and satisfactory. The calendar informs me of current and future availability. The customer support within the possibilities is also fast and they communicate effectively.

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

I don't like the limited access to elements and variables that can be placed in email templates. Regarding the service in general, I also dislike the lack of customization in their plans, given that there are features I want that I don't have and others that I have and don't want, having to pay more for less in some cases.

I feel that the lack of customization and access to specific features of the services you provide is not sufficiently attractive. The documentation in the knowledge base is outdated.

The emails sent to guests from the Cloudbeds system often experience delays, causing customers to not receive the emails in a timely manner.

**What do you like best about Cloudbeds?**

It strikes a good balance between being aesthetically pleasing while still keeping the display/menus straightforward and easy to navigate.  It's probably one of the easiest systems to learn without requiring above-average computer knowledge and the increasing number of integrations it offers make it far more valuable than outdated systems that require the creation of a whole new system to somewhat integrate with related software.

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

There are some features it does not offer that are fairly standard in the industry.  These lack of features then require a "workaround".  It's so simple to use that it can occasionally be "dangerously easy" to accidentally do something that is not nearly as simple to undo.

**What problems is Cloudbeds solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It automatically posts charges so there is no night audit to manually run.  The Channel Manager requires little to no effort once it's been mapped correctly and, unlike many other systems, there is no commission on reservations made through the booking engine.  We can run a variety of reports and apply the desired filters to determine the information that we need to calculate taxes, fix errors, etc.

Great integration with aggregators like booking.com.and expedia. Very knowledgable team that made onboarding simple and easy. Great help desk that provided clear understanding of issues and provided easy to execute solutions and instructions.

Nothing to dislike. A suggestion is that it would be great if it had bulk upload functionality for distribution or content across booking portals, like CRMs in the real estate industry.

Im very lucky to have a fantastic Gaby taking me through all the trainings, the support is amazing. The usage and functionalyty of the software is very convinuent, its smart and easy. There is nothing i could wish and wouldnt have it. Also i adore the booking engine. It's so beautiful and easy!

being able to clearly create reservations, take online bookings and send invoices in one place. easy to navigate in order to teach new staff is a key point too.

some things can be ironed out. in quebec there is a lodging tax that can also be taxed so it cannot be configured correctly in the settings so I have to manually do that each time. 
lack of having one dedicated person to deal with but instant chat has helped resolve issues.

The customer service response is great, they always answer my questions and provide great resources when needed. It as easy [program to use for the most part, and we use it daily.

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

Wish we could view the calendar by month and week. Sometimes when making long reservations it would be much easier to have a month view and to get a better picture of reservations for the month vs week.

Effectively integrated all booking channels we currently use makes it much easier to manage reservations.

Honestly? Nothing yet. It seems that everytime I founded myself in trouble there was a article about it in cloudbeds university

The basic trouble that we wanted to solve it was the overbooking in our system, and cloudbeds is really good at solving this issue and to improve performance while working 24/7

The advantage I like the most is that it simultaneously manages the schedules of Booking, Airbnb, and others.

There are no disadvantages to using Cloudbeds. What I would like is for the part about being able to forward reports or reservation details to clients to be more user-friendly.

The bookings and room move are the easiest and  most understandable portion of cloudbeds. Which makes it great for front desk clerks to do the most important part of running these properties.

The reports.. there should be an easier more managable/accessiable way to access reports that are needed.

Honestly, none. I have yet to see improvement with reports.

Their interfaces and reporting looked good on the surface, but when you got into detail, they were lacking.

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

I should have known there were problems at Cloudbeds as their contract had language saying that its users could not publish reviews. After some negotiations, I had them remove the language. Their contract does not comply with California privacy laws. They told us that their system integrated easily with QuickBooks; they did not say you have to use a third-party API translator and pay $49 per month for it and that that translator probably does not comply with privacy laws. They also said integration with QuickBooks is easy; they did not say it only works with QuickBooks online and not QuickBooks desktop. They also did not explain that you need a programmer to make it work, as the mapping is difficult and complicated. They said they would handle the data export from our old PMS to Cloudbeds; they did not tell us that if you have a server-based system and not a cloud-based system, you have to do the data export. They told us that the transition to Expedia from our existing system to their system happens almost immediately. On the transition day, they say three days…3 days with no bookings. That is thousands in lost revenue. The transition process from our old system to CloudBeds was done with their limited help, and communicating with their customer support was awful and almost exclusively via e-mail. They have you watch videos and do some light follow-up, but it is hardly a cohesive transition program. Their reporting looks good on the surface, but it is weak when you get into the detail. Their report builder lacks needed functions and operators, and they do not expose enough data fields to make it worthwhile.
 There is more, but suffice it to say the entire experience was awful, and we canceled. I have used two other Property management systems, and they were both superior in support, training and service, and their sales team shot straight.

It did not solve the problems we wanted: simple integration with Quickbooks. Reporting was basic, and custom reporting capabilities were weak.

Nothing, they make false advertisements to Spanish-seeking customers.

They do not want to make a refund for using the service 2 days online

We contacted sales, got the information and signed in, 
when the onboarding was going on we realized that Group reservations were not included
we had to call the sales manager to get it at the same price,

The onboarding process was good in Spanish. 

when the onboarding was finished we realized that The Cloud University for learning to use the system is not in Spanish and wanted to charge us to teach the personal
sales is very good in not telling you that everything is in English and our personal is Spanish speaking. we are in Mexico.

The first 2 reservations received by Booking arrived without the complete credit card information, we contacted technical support, and after 50 minutes of waiting on the phone, they said sorry it was a glitch can't get the information anymore
nothing we can.  now I have 2 reservations without the CVC Code: and cant charge this non-refundable rate.
 We decided to cancel the service : 

 False advertisements, they do not explain that training for receptionists and reservations personnel is only in English  (cloud university ), 

- not getting all the credit card information 

- very bad technical service, waiting 50 minutes or more every time you want to speak with somebody.

- No refund for using the service online for 2 days,  all the other time was for the onboarding.

it gave us more problems, we can't charge 2 nonrefundable reservations because the missing CVC Code

**What do you like best about Cloudbeds?**

Easy to use, you can automatize guest communication and drive more reservations by connecting directly to the Cloudbeds Channel Manager and Booking Engine. It´s an All in One Solution that helps you save time and generate more reservations. We use Cloudbeds for our 3 Properties - the Multy-Property feature is a blessing - it makes it very easy for us to switch from one hotel to the other and gives us full control over the daily operations - only one click away. I use CB on my iPhone as well to control Daily Arrivals and read Reports.

**What do you dislike about Cloudbeds?**

I would love to have an App - right now it´s only mobile responsive, so some of the features like the calendar are not easy to use on my phone. 

A fresh and new look of the Booking Engine + Guest Portal would be amazing.

One of the biggest benefits -> Unified Data - Which helps us to make the right decisions. One Support for all your essential tools to manage your hotel. Channel Manager, PMS, Booking Engine, Website, Payment Processing & Revenue Management are taken care of by one support team available 24/7/365. It´s an easy-to-train and easy-to-learn platform, due to labor shortage we had to hire new staff and train them, which makes it very easy for us since the platform has a simple but powerful user interface.

This software gives us full control over business and a great overview of our daily operations. Also it works perfectly together and we are happy that we don't have to switch different solutions for our daily workflow.

The interface and simplicity for front-end management. The fact of having everything integrated into a single product is very convenient for small accommodations. It allows them to publish and compete with the big ones.

It lacks several functions, in my case, focusing on sales, I would like, for example, to be able to establish price relationships, percentages, etc., between different rates and the different rooms. But for what it was created, I think it's very, very good anyway.

I started using the Channel Manager. In fact, I don't use anything else, but I saw how the reservations team uses it. The channel allowed me to save a lot of time, and it is easy to set up.

I have a small accommodation business and Cloudbeds provide me all the basic property management system that I need with a reasonable pricing. With Cloudbeds, I can manage my property both internally and externally which includes booking engine and channel manager.
