I can find clips by keywords, tags, or even comments within seconds, which helps when working on tight deadlines. **What do you dislike about CatDV?** The initial setup process can be complex and time-consuming.Licensing costs are relatively high for smaller organizations. **What problems is CatDV solving and how is that benefiting you?** CatDV solves the problem of managing massive media libraries. Before, files were scattered across drives and hard to locate. Now, everything is centralized and easy to search, which benefits us by saving time and reducing stress. ### 2. Instead of digging through messy folders, I can easily tag, search, and categorize files, which saves me hours every week. **What do you dislike about CatDV?** Integration with certain third-party systems is not always seamless.Performance slows down slightly with extremely large libraries. **What problems is CatDV solving and how is that benefiting you?** As our projects and clients grew, file chaos grew too. CatDV solves this by scaling with us, benefiting us by supporting growth without adding stress. ### 3. It is a good content manager and runs very well. I like that it is independent and I think that the cost for subscription and use is very low compared to other content managers. CatDV also has very complete and fast technical support, which has often saved me from all the problems we had, mainly due to the crashes. **What do you dislike about CatDV?** I don't like that generally when they do updates it seriously affects the workflow. Sometimes it also has crashes that are not due to anything. I don't like the interface and a bit the memory consumption it has since it is too high. There are many processes that could be simplified. I do not like that it has limits in terms of profiles and that you must pay for the package. I also do not like the interface; it seems obsolete and many times the information has problems with unknown or unsupported files. **Recommendations to others considering CatDV:** I think you need to mature the system as well as the interface. I think that it has a lot of potential and that this type of tool in the long term will offer new updates that can meet more needs. **What problems is CatDV solving and how is that benefiting you?** effective organization of settings and content used in projects, proper distribution. Profile management for all types of users according to specific needs. It is a good tool that can be customized to show clients and demonstrate solidity in the processes and handling of their information. In general, the application and all its components are good for companies that use a medium capacity, for large I think it should be more solid. ### 4. With the learning curve of this software, it definitely needs it for someone to make a good purchasing decision **What do you dislike about CatDV?** It is quite finicky and difficult to understand for new users. It is very opaque to people who are not comfortable with modern technology; so among certain tv producers it is next to useless. **What problems is CatDV solving and how is that benefiting you?** CatDV did not solve our company's problems.
