Competitive analysis ensures companies stay ahead of the curve, and content trend insights help in crafting compelling campaigns. While Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence excels in social listening and audience insights for gaming and tech companies, it has limitations that other tools can address. Specialized tools may offer deeper sentiment analysis (like IBM Watson), advanced predictive analytics (Google Analytics Predictive Metrics), and detailed customer journey mapping (Adobe Experience Cloud). **What do you like best about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

I appreciate Brandwatch's ability to provide in-depth analytics beyond surface-level metrics (it goes waaay deeper than any other similar data platform I already tried) and the fact that it is a user-friendly platform. 

I will have to use it more often in the future, therefore I am only starting with it, playing around with Dashboards and different tools and it looks great! 

I am a bit scared of how we will implement our current project to Brandwatch. I hope, as expected, that we will be able to integrate BW into our existing workflow, enhancing efficiency and maximizing the value of your social listening efforts.

While I haven't felt the need to contact the Customer Support yet, the Help Center looks very well constructed.

**What do you dislike about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

The amount of data provided by Brandwatch could potentially be overwhelming, particularly if you're not sure how to effectively filter and analyze it. Though, I really appreciate the Brandwatch Academy Tool to learn more about it. 

I also don't love the limitations in accessing certain platforms (e.g., YouTube) and the sample's size limit.

Our old platform did not include social media monitoring and analysis, so this is great to have now!

The main advantage with Brandwatch is the ability to easily find all social media posts related to your company, provide a value to each, and have a dashboard within Brandwatch that tracks it. The fact that all you need is a simple query to write that is the main advantage with Brandwatch instead of either manually finding it in social media websites or using a scraper tool.

**What do you dislike about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

The main downside is the challenge of integrated their API with us for us to use our own tools to track their social media data. It is not simple to connect and we were unable to find a solution at that time.

**What problems is Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brandwatch allows us to track the social media impact of Chewy's campaigns in which we reach our customers with a WOW moment. It allows us to understand which programs are generating the most traction.

It's great for snapshot assessments/analysis for some clients, and dedicated queries for others. The rules/tags/categories and visualisations allow us to view complex pools of data clearly and concisely.
We use it full time for a large financial client and occasionally for others.

**What do you dislike about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

The cost can be a bit of a barrier, especially for small businesses. And some small enhancements would make a world of difference e.g. addition of some extra bulk actions, freezing a top row for a view -  but these are minor in comparison to what you get.

**What problems is Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're in the business of analysis - Brandwatch helps us watch conversations within defined groups to watch for trends, or to hone in on keywords to understand what people are saying about topics/products/services/pain points or create a custom view of a brand and their competitors for the short- or long-term.

It is one of the few tools on the market that allows you to perform simple analyses despite the large volume of data it handles.

**What do you dislike about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

The least useful aspect of the tool is that it cannot incorporate social media data from platforms like Instagram or TikTok at the same level as those from X, for example.

Sometimes technical problems arise, such as posts being lost massively and in a short time. Maybe support takes too long to consider the problems that sometimes appear, but they solve them quickly.

It allowed our company to monitor and analyze conversations happening on social media platforms, review sites, forums, and blogs. This enabled us to gain insights into consumer sentiment, preferences, and trends in real-time. It is quite easy to use and hence, implemented it very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

There is no way to manage the amount of data which it collects. It gets very difficult to sift through the noise and identify actionable insights amidst the volume of data collected. Morevoer, The cost is quite high of the subscription.

**What problems is Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It had helped us to understand the brand sentiment by analysing the emerging trends, preferences, and behaviors among consumers. This  allowed us to stay ahead of the curve and proactively adapt our product offerings, marketing strategies, and merchandising decisions to meet evolving consumer demands and preferences. It also helped us to monitor competitor activities, campaigns, and customer feedback across digital channels.

The ease with which boolean queries and channels can be loaded, as well as generating dashboards

The limitation with conversation sources is the need to add TikTok and Twitch, as well as to improve access to Facebook profiles without needing to request access from administrators. I believe there should be a less complex solution to extract part of the conversation from those profiles.

**What problems is Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes the Ads posts of some clients are not reflected in the extraction of results in their profiles. In some cases, Brandwatch support has responded that videos in Ads and some posts cannot be monitored, which reduces the scope of analysis. Also, as I mentioned previously, the lack of social networks like TikTok, Twitch, Threads, limits the analysis of a brand.

Ease of dashboard building for campaign monitoring and quick turn around discovery/insight gathering. New features for building queries and categories means its very easy to update.

Limited integration with Linkedin, 'automated' features (e.g. sentiment analysis) require a lot of guiding. But is not able to parse publicly available data.

Access to audience insight is eseential to good RFP responses, audience discovery & monitoring is very useful for brand research & ongoing campaign work. It has helped us build an offer for clients that has really enhanced our campaign delivery.

The UI is very interactive and easy to understand. The standard query templates are helpful and I like the presence of user guides at every step. The data captured via queries is so accurate and their is minimal noise.

There is nothing much to dislike. I wish there was a feature in "Sentiment over time" to download data for all queries in a single Excel, where different tabs represented different queries.

Brandwatch helps me in understanding the sentiment of users of particular brands. That utimately helps us in analyzing the brand and suggesting our clients the right ways forward.

I enjoy how Brandwatch makes it so simple to manipulate data within a dashboard without altering the overall query. I also think that the sentiment tool is geat... well not for sentiment but when it measured other things, like regions or tags. Very useful to calculate share of voice.

I do not enjoy Brandwatch's sentiment feature. I find it inaccurate -- at least in my use case working on issue-based topics.

Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence allows me to synthesize heaps and heaps of content with data. I also like how the filters with Consumer Intelligence afford so much freedom and creativity with social listening.

I love the access to information you get on Brandwatch. We have been able to leverage our findings to create strategic new business pitches, inform campaign strategies, update brand messaging and more.

I do not like the amount of bugs we experience. We find the sentiment graphs to be very cool but often inaccurate. Updated the queries can really lag the dashboard if you are trying to work in real time.

**What do you like best about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

Brandwatch's metrics are incredibly customizable, allowing you to adjust your data source to target specific areas of attention such as by date, content source or topics. It also allows you to easily view automated results and summaries about certain campaigns, trends or topics through highly useful AI-generated summaries. The data is easy to integrate and implement in company reports, and the accuracy and automation of the platform cuts labor hours to a fraction of what it would take by manual processes, and helps eliminates subjectivity in measurement. I use this tool multiple times a week, and in the majority of reports I generate.

**What do you dislike about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

While the tool is highly customizable, the amount of customization can present a learning curve for many new users. I've used other platforms that are much, much simpler in presentation and have much easier-to-understand layouts, but it comes at the expense of limiting the data you can focus on. (so, it's a pro and con). Learning how to generate the query and dashboard you need can feel like a constant "work-in-progress" as you learn more about the tool, but it's worth the investment. I like to compare it Photoshop: it's a tool so powerful it takes years to truly master.

It helps establish quantifiable, objective data that matters. A simple example only: Instead of saying "1,000 people attended an event - it's a success!", Brandwatch allows you to measure how they're talking about the event online, the sentiment of their posts, summaries of their feedback, and the reach/impact of the event.

The inability of customizing visualizations, such as changing colors of charts

There insights that you just don't get anywhere else. Plus the UX and design is super user friendly and easy to move around. I can answer questions with what I would have thought would be hard to answer questions very easily.

The best feature of Brandwatch is its data coverage across platforms. Though some platform like Facebook and Instagram has limited data coverage, it works great for Twitter and other types of sites like blog, news and forums.
The other valuable features of the platform are the keyword setup, query setup, and the possibility of using categories and tags as filters.

**What do you dislike about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

The dashboards are of good functionality, but it is difficult to make it look nicer. The main reason for this is the limited size adjustment options of the widgets. And widget placement is stacking type, you can not use the whole dashboard area as a canvas.
Another difficulty is the download feature. One can download or export data from dashboard widgets with all the applied filters. But for the larger data sets, exporting from dashboard widget has limitation. Download feature is useful here. But application of filter in download feature is limited.

The benefit of using Brandwatch for us is to measure the performance of the brands or the campaigns on the earned side of things. We can easily monitor the brand objectives or the performance of a specific campaign other than the creatives promoted by the campaigner. Thus it is a good check for digital marketing activities.

Has a good space to explore insights, with a fairly good amount of platforms included.

Dashboard widget options have a lot of space for opportunity , but hopefully the Brandwatch team will dedicate more efforts into this.

TikTok is still not an option for social listening but a slight turnaround is possible via query creation.

Listening the trends and behaivour of social media for specific brands, locations, platforms, within a  specific time range.

I find the tool to be very complete. It allows you to monitor and track the key topics of interest for your brand, as well as to uncover meaningful insights.

Sometimes I find that is less intuitive than other Social Listening platforms, but after you do get the hang of the tool, you realize how complete it is.

Super flexible and powerful dashboards, that allow you to create any view you are looking for. This is a super stregnth when you work with teams that are unfamiliar with your work because you can set the settings and have people work in the data without fear they mess up your settings.

Otherwise the tool offers all the customizable options found in other tools like command center.

Some UI issues are still ongoing years after the tool has been launched. 
Little issues like selecting categories and the list being too long and being cut off by your screen size. No ways to lock a tab, so that if you change a setting at the dashboard level, it doesnt change the settings everywhere.

You dont get any updates if channels become unauthenticated. Categories and Tags load about 50% of the time.

**What do you like best about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

Brandwatch is helpful to sort through sentiment about my brands when there are thousands of mentions online. I like that I can see volume of what's being said and can filter out some.

**What do you dislike about Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence?**

Tiktok hasn't been implemented into the platform. It takes a long time to load, the page is glitchy when i'm searching for my brand and keywords, I have to refresh constantly. I wish there were more filters when searching for key words. It doesn't pick up which sentiment is neutral vs negative very well. When categorizing sentiment I have to click through each one instead of being able to click multiple for some reason.

**What problems is Brandwatch Consumer Intelligence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

finding out what's being said about the brand online- social listening across multiple platforms. We use this for reporting and it tells us what our fans would like to see more of and what they're not liking and that implements our future creative ideas.

Data extraction from IG could be improved although there is API limitation,   the competitors can still provide more drilled-down data that is useful e.g, post/comment author names, mention type (post, comment, photo tag)
