Fast storage array and response time. **What do you dislike about PowerMax?** Much high cost to maintain, compared with our existing storage solution from Pure Storage which uses FlashArray. **What problems is PowerMax solving and how is that benefiting you?** The major problem solved is the fast response speed, it enables us to accomplish tasks quickly ### 2. It is super fast and highly scalable. Data services are all there: SnapVx lets us use snapshots to recreate, refresh, and restore our 30-terabyte databases to test/development instances using near-zero storage space; SRDF replication is the gold standard of replication in the industry; QoS; storage service levels, etc. Our Del EMC sales and implementation teams are second to none. We truly feel like they are part of our team, just like a co-worker, and not a distant bunch of salespeople who only get in touch when you're spending money. They stay on top of our environment and bend over backwards to help. **What do you dislike about PowerMax?** PowerMax is a beast of an array, in that it takes time to master all of its capabilities. This is not something that I dislike, but it's the most "negative" thing I can say about it. Although it is relatively easy to administer, simply understanding the concepts regarding the things you are administering takes some time. **Recommendations to others considering PowerMax:** Take advantage of SnapVx. Work with your Dell team patiently to build the right solution. **What problems is PowerMax solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our mission-critical, highly performance-sensitive workloads run on PowerMax (e.g. our hospital system's Electronic Medical Record system, Epic). Epic requires predictable, reliable sub-millisecond response time, and we absolutely get it with PowerMax. Also, as stated above, Powermax's SnapVx lets us use snapshots to recreate, refresh, and restore our 30-terabyte databases to multiple test/development instances using near-zero storage space.
