# How do teams keep a large Miro board navigable once it gets cluttered?

I've noticed that most questions about keeping a large Miro board navigable once it gets cluttered come from boards that grow during workshops or technical mapping. The habits that keep them readable, going by G2 reviews, are grouping related diagrams into clearly separated sections, keeping one consistent layout, and agreeing how the board is arranged when several people work on it at different zoom levels.

In visual collaboration, boards seem to grow in three ways:

A live workshop. Sticky notes pile up fast, and AI clustering can group them by theme afterwards.

Technical mapping. Detailed flows with exception paths fill space, and frames keep each part distinct.

A long-running team board. Content builds over months, and nobody owns the layout.

Frames are what people credit for keeping problem, process, solution and delivery risks apart on one board, while the infinite canvas lets them zoom from system architecture down to a single user flow. That range is exactly why boards get big, and Miro suits teams who treat arranging the board as part of the work.

Which of these does your team run into most? And who tidies the board after a session, the facilitator or everyone?

Labelling frames before anyone adds content is our best habit. Being able to zoom from the whole architecture down to a single flow is why we use it for big workshops.
