It provides a history of downtimes in-built within the status page and also allows custom HTML/JS Script. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** Sometimes better uptimes sends false emails, saying that the following server is down which is kinda annoying, but most of the time, they do provide real downtimes info. **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Better uptime helps provide a more professional-looking dashboard and also custom domain integration with status pages. You can even adjust the time to be alerted for example send me an alert 2 weeks before or even 1 day before. The ability to alert in a Microsoft Teams channel is a bonus. Yes, you can send to an email but sending via Teams is more message friendly. Email and a Teams message are ideally formatted differently. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** I dislike nothing. It's perfect for our needs. **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are monitoring a few servers but the most important one is that it can monitor our WOWZA stream. There are specific services for monitoring m3u8 streams and yet better uptime can do it perfectly fine using a simple ping or the standard uptime check for status 200 which is the default. ### 5. It serves it's role as it should and there aren't any major issues. Improvements? Mostly the software still seems young and there are bugs that pop here and there and cause a 400/500 error. For example, creating alerts with duplicate names and then attempting to delete one has caused some requests to error out. **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to keep a super accurate pulse on usage patterns for YourDB across all user bases. I'm using Vercel for my web app, so I pretty much just clicked "add integration" on the site, and boom everything was setup. Instant value in <10 minutes. Wanted a straightforward log drain, and that's exactly what I got. Filtered for 500 error codes and was able to use that info to remove the five most common errors on the app same day I signed up. **What do you dislike about Better Stack?** There doesn't seem to be any way to filter logs at the ingest side (at least with Vercel). Vercel logs pretty much every single API request, so I end up with way more logs than I need. Still, my app makes a couple million requests / month, and it's still not even close to hitting the 30GB limit for the first price tier. **What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mainly keeping a log of errors (Vercel logging goes away soon as you stop looking at their logging page in real-time). Went from almost 1000 errors in a day to <5 in the last 6 hours. There's an option for alerts, so I know that if I mess up somewhere with a new feature and get error 500s again it'll show up pretty quickly there. ### 12. The pages are configurable to show response times but come with a downside. If you enable response times, then the page becomes very busy and much harder to read at a glance.
