The most helpful aspect for us of Better Stack is its monitoring capabilities, which significantly enhance uptime and incident response. You get out-of-the box external monitoring includins a public status page and incident management, as well as a log monitoring and metrics collection platform with alerting. Better Stack is still incomplete compared to competitors on the logs/metrics side. Setting up metrics from logs is not user-friendly, and the usage of SQL for complex analysis is a nice idea in theory but makes things complex in practice. It's still a long way from Splunk's or Grafana's ease-of-use on that side. However, once your wrap your head around their logs-to-metrics converter (or do it yourself before ingestion), it's enough for a lot of things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The dashboard is absolutely beautiful and has loads of good features. The system for adding monitors is robust and easy to use while also offering tons of customisability in helping you deliver a responsive, sexy statuspage that communicates any issues you may be having well to end users.

Monitoring alerts are issued pretty much instantly and the integrations are superb. I use the Zapier integration and link that to a Discord channel which sends me notifications pretty much immediately along with a screenshot of the error (seriously cool stuff!) helping me diagnose it faster.

I've used it on and off for years and thus seen it go through all sorts of changes and a rebrand from Better Uptime to Better Stack yet the product still remains amazing and incredibly generous in what it offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Better Stack is one of the best monitoring services I have been using for a few months plus now. It has a generous free tier with multiple monitors, and also allows you to connect your own domain to white label your status page. That you do need to keep logging in to the site to maintain your monitors, and the fact you cannot monitor CRON jobs, which is a bit of a shame. The pricing may also not be attractive for those who need a bit more than the free tier offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Better Stack has a modern, clean and attractive UI compared to alternatives. It also has custom branded status pages and a lot of other perks on the free plan and with paid plans, it has even more advanced features.
