**What do you like best about Better Stack?**

What I like most about Better Stack is how practical it is for day-to-day backend work. Being able to centralize logs, monitoring, and alerts in one place greatly facilitates the tracking of APIs and services. In my case, working with FastAPI and cloud deployments, it helps me a lot to quickly detect errors and understand what's happening without wasting time checking multiple tools.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

What I like least about Better Stack is that some configurations can be a bit confusing at first, especially when you want to adjust alerts or delve into the logs. I also feel that in certain cases it could offer more customization options or integrations. It's not critical, but these are details that could improve the experience, especially for more technical teams.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better Stack helps me primarily solve the visibility problem in my services. When you have multiple APIs and processes running, it's easy to lose sight of what's failing or where the bottleneck is. With Better Stack, I can centralize logs, monitoring, and alerts, which allows me to detect problems much faster and take action without wasting time investigating in different tools. This ultimately translates into less downtime and better stability in my applications.

I'm working on a contract where the CIO asked me to integrate some Azure services with Better Stack and see what could be done.

I had never worked with better stack before. Looked at their docs, watched their videos, and was able, in 8 hours, to pipe logs to a source, create a few time series and create a dashboard with a few charts that shows the things he really cared about. 

It absolutely blew his fucking mind... His team had tried do something like this in Azure App Insight for months.
So thank you guys! Awesome work.

The built-in videos were a bit fast and I had to rewatch them a few times.

From not knowing their product at all, to being able to get value out of the logs and build a dashboard in about 8 hours of work is mind blowing. Their product is lean and mean... No fluff. Just straight to getting value out of my logs. This product is incredible.

Based on my current experience, I use the Website Monitoring service, and it works fine. Easy to set up the monitoring page, we can also use our domain but its not required so i use thire defoult domain.

Currently, I haven’t found any issues with the service. I’ve only just started using it, but so far it’s working fine and meets my needs as expected.

I greatly appreciate the independence of Better Stack, which ensures that I receive notifications even when my VPS and hosting servers are down, as it continues to operate and alert me of any issues. The program's clear user interface is another standout feature, enabling me to configure everything effortlessly without having to delve into extensive documentation. It's incredibly intuitive and efficient. The instant notifications are vital for me because they allow me to react immediately to any downtime and handle incidents promptly. The status pages are also quite beneficial, as they let me continuously monitor the status of my services. Also, I found the initial setup process to be straightforward and easy, which was a great plus for me.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

The current two-factor authentication (2FA) in Better Stack only supports Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) methods, which are susceptible to phishing attacks. I believe that including support for WebAuthn methods, such as YubiKey or other physical keys, would enhance security significantly. This would be particularly important for security-focused individuals, although it is not critical.

Additionally, the status page feature is incredibly useful, especially for tracking uptime, incidents, and communicating efficiently with my customers about service status, providing a more comprehensive picture of my system's reliability. Better Stack's simple configuration and the ability to customize it over time are features I highly appreciate. The competitive edge it offers, with a useable free-tier and ease of starting, makes it a prime choice for implementing observability without much hassle, and I'm inclined to stick with it as my needs evolve.

I find it a bit difficult or unclear to configure the status page to display more detailed information. etterStack Uptime is an excellent tool for monitoring the availability of sites and services in real-time. Its interface is modern, easy to use, and pleasant on a daily basis. I appreciate the ability to quickly set up monitors, receive multi-channel alerts (Slack, SMS, email, call), and share professional status pages with clients. The provided diagnostics (screenshots, traceroute, cron job monitoring) really facilitate incident resolution.

The free plan is generous and allows for a good start, which is perfect for small teams or personal projects. Customer support is quick and responsive, which inspires confidence.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

The only downside: the cost can quickly rise if you have many monitors or need advanced integrations. Additionally, some customization features (for example, on status pages) remain limited in the entry-level plans.

It alerts us immediately in case of a site, API, or server outage, allowing us to act before users are impacted. **What do you like best about Better Stack?**

I’ve been thoroughly impressed with Better Stack after using it for just a month, and to say I'm a super fan is just an understatement. Having worked with several logging and monitoring platforms like Papertrail, Loggly, Splunk, and SonarQube, I can confidently say that Better Stack stands out in a league of its own for my project needs. Its combination of speed, ease of use, robust feature set, and probably the best looking interface you'll ever get to work with makes it an exceptional choice.

The project setup is second to none. When onboarding with other logging services, I find myself sometimes wondering when logs will show up, or if the environment was set up correctly, but Better Stack leaves out all of that guess work with lightning fast logs and a setup specially tailored for every common tech stack. The free status page you get for your app is just the cherry on top.

The entire experience is so polished, you can even autofill your own config straight into the docs you're reading. Countless blog articles for best practices and recommendations are there for supplemental knowledge and have helped me achieve the best setup I could ever ask for. 

This might feel less like a review and more like a love letter to the team, but I am so excited that my search for the perfect logging service for my needs is over and I will be including this  in every project I start from here. Thank you!

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

The initial paid tier out the gate starts at $29 which is very steep for the small open source services I run. I would love to see some grace for public repos of some sort, or a lower tier around $14. Currently, it is hard to justify for non-commercial and hobbyist projects.

Better Stack offers the most approachable way of integrating logging, monitoring, and alerts with their incredibly easy to use interface and comprehensive setup guides. The rapid setup I'm able to do on my projects and then have logs I'm able to rely on makes this a game changer for me.

Better Stack stands out with its beautiful and intuitive UI/UX — it’s one of the cleanest interfaces I’ve used in a monitoring platform. It’s also extremely beginner-friendly, making it easy to get started without digging through complex docs. I really appreciate that they offer a generous free tier, which is perfect for small projects or early-stage startups. Their uptime monitoring is reliable and straightforward, and I was able to integrate it with minimal setup. The fact that you can quickly plug it into a Symfony project using webhooks or alerting integrations is a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

There’s not much to dislike, but I’d love to see even more native SDKs or Symfony-specific integrations to speed up setup even further. Also, some of the more advanced features are understandably behind the paid tier, which can be limiting once your project grows — but that’s fair for a product this well-built.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better Stack solves the challenge of monitoring and visibility for small projects and startups that can’t afford expensive infrastructure tools early on. It gives me real-time alerts and uptime monitoring out of the box, which helps me catch issues before my users do. I don’t have to spend hours setting up Prometheus or Grafana — it just works, and it looks great. This saves me time, helps me stay focused on development, and gives me peace of mind that my services are running as expected.

I encountered a bug where my slack alert did not display the snippet of the logs that caused the alert. This was not remediated for at least a month, despite many, many attempts to follow up. 

Second, the UI is just miserably slow. I often wait 2 to 5 minutes for my logs to load. A log aggregator this slow is completely unusable.

Its a base but never basic service that all system must have. It at leas three very useful tools to monitor your productive system: Logging, Alert Incidents and Monitor Stats. It may have others services but the config is so easy that takes a very short time to integrate. Android APP is very limited but has a cool link to login quickly in Better Stack to handle the alert. Interesting use of email to login (no password).

The logtail is a little laggie and some improvement at rendering the site can be improved.

The log telemetry with all of its features is excellent to monitor, analyse and surveil logs. Especially because of our distributed system, it is really helpful to get a consisting monitoring of the applications state. We use a lot of thirdparty APIs, some of them are not that well engineered and regularly have irregularities because of bad change management. With the alert system and incident management our team can easily respond fast.

The billing system was a bit confusing from time to time, which caused us to accidentally switch up the rates & packages two times, without any action in this regards on our side. Their support was really fast and helpful to solve this issues.

We have a lot of third party API implementation. A couple of them are not really reliable. The incident management helps us to respond fast.
We have a distributed system. To work on issues with our engineers we use the telemetry as a spot for our logs.

The features I have utilized so far have been great, but I did wish there was more flexibility when it came to setting alert thresholds in the log monitoring system. I think it would be better if the alerts could be triggered under even more specific conditions. Furthermore, for some of the other services, where there is more advanced documentation, a basic, simplistically-oriented auxiliary documentation would be very useful for new users.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When it comes to monitoring and debugging applications, BetterStack's log management tools have worked revolutionarily. It is the first log management software that I have used and boy do I wish I had used it previously, it made the attempt to locate and analyze the cause of issues too hard. In the hardware sense, logs were all over the place and nothing could be done about them, as there was no focal point for logs. However, this further delay between acknowledging the issue and its resolution is no more the situation. The in-built alerts notifying of important events that occur have proven to be very useful helping in ensuring no important events get missed. This has not only greatly accelerated the troubleshooting approach but has also made my systems more reliable with minimal outages and a better experience for the users.

**What do you like best about Better Stack?**

It saves me a lot of time and the dashboard is really intuitive. I haven‘t been using it for long tbh but I really like what they did here. I would suggest just creating an account and see for yourself tho. I also LOVE that they are gdpr compliant which is really important for me.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

I think the documentation needs improvement. It should be more beginner friendly.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to keep track of my web app uptime. It would have really been a hassle constantly updating it myself so better stack really comes in handy here.

**What do you like best about Better Stack?**

Very easy to setup and use. Created monitors, heartbeats and a status page in no time.
Had to contact customer support to get a certificate on my status page and they were very friendly and answered all my questuions without trouble.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

I created a status page to show my monitors and heartbeats in a single overview. I wanted to use a custom domain which was supported, but it took them 6 weeks to apply a certificate. It might be a limitation of my domain, but other hosts are much quicker to do this.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted an overview of my the services that i host and notifications if they went down. Better Stacks provides me with this.
