**What do you like best about Better Stack?**

What I like most about Better Stack is its combination of uptime monitoring, alerting, and log management in a single platform. Instead of using multiple tools for monitoring and incident response, Better Stack provides a centralized view of system health and operational issues. Fast and reliable uptime monitoring with real-time alerts. Clean, intuitive dashboard that's easy to navigate. Centralized log management for troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Status page functionality for communicating incidents and maintenance updates. Multiple notification channels to ensure critical alerts are not missed. The most valuable feature is the real-time alerting system. When an API, website, or service experiences an issue, the team is notified immediately, allowing us to investigate and resolve problems before they significantly impact users. The biggest benefit is improved operational visibility and faster incident response. Better Stack helps us identify issues proactively, reduce downtime, and maintain a better experience for our users.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

There are a few areas where improvements would help:
1. Advanced analytics and reporting could be more detailed.
2. Log retention options in lower-tier plans can feel restrictive.
3. Custom dashboard capabilities could be more flexible.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better Stack solves the problem of limited visibility into application availability and operational health. Faster detection of outages and service disruptions. Reduced mean time to identify and resolve incidents. Better monitoring of APIs, websites, and backend services. Centralized logs and alerts for easier troubleshooting. Improved communication during incidents through status pages.
The biggest benefit for me is proactive monitoring. Instead of discovering issues through customer complaints, the team gets alerted immediately and can start investigating before the impact becomes widespread.

**What do you like best about Better Stack?**

The free tier covers all my needs, even if I scale in the future. The UI is nice and polished. If I ever increase the number of domains I manage, I’d definitely consider a paid plan. For now, though, it’s more than just a “try it and see if you like it” situation—the free tier genuinely feels complete. Overall, it pretty much covers everything I’d need in a domain monitoring SaaS.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

They could provide a bit more documentation during the registration process, especially around the limitations of the free tier. The free-tier offerings are generous, but right now you have to dig around to find the details.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A free uptime monitoring system with custom rules! I actually check my domain by looking for the “online” bit I put in the HTML, and also the “offline” bit I added to my 500 error page. :) It’s pretty slick and does exactly what I need. Other tools' free tier lock this feature in particular behind a paywall and its nice to know that I can use better stack to make my native (online) (offline) indicators functional as well!

**What do you like best about Better Stack?**

What I like most about Better Stack is how simple and fast it is to set up. The dashboards look great right out of the box, and the alerting system is incredibly reliable. It completely replaces a bunch of messy tools with one clean interface, and the Slack/Telegram integrations work flawlessly. It just works, and it saves us a ton of debugging time.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

"Honestly, nothing so far. For my current workflow and stack, it does exactly what it promises without any issues. It’s light, fast, and does everything I need for monitoring and logging right now. No complaints at all.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Better Stack, we had to jump between different tools to check logs and uptime, which was a headache. Better Stack solves this by putting everything into one clean dashboard. The main benefit is that we get instant, reliable alerts when something goes wrong, so we can fix bugs before users even notice. It saves us a ton of debugging time and gives us peace of mind.

**What do you like best about Better Stack?**

What I like most about Better Stack is how practical it is for day-to-day backend work. Being able to centralize logs, monitoring, and alerts in one place greatly facilitates the tracking of APIs and services. In my case, working with FastAPI and cloud deployments, it helps me a lot to quickly detect errors and understand what's happening without wasting time checking multiple tools.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

What I like least about Better Stack is that some configurations can be a bit confusing at first, especially when you want to adjust alerts or delve into the logs. I also feel that in certain cases it could offer more customization options or integrations. It's not critical, but these are details that could improve the experience, especially for more technical teams.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better Stack helps me primarily solve the visibility problem in my services. When you have multiple APIs and processes running, it's easy to lose sight of what's failing or where the bottleneck is. With Better Stack, I can centralize logs, monitoring, and alerts, which allows me to detect problems much faster and take action without wasting time investigating in different tools. This ultimately translates into less downtime and better stability in my applications.

I'm working on a contract where the CIO asked me to integrate some Azure services with Better Stack and see what could be done.

I had never worked with better stack before. Looked at their docs, watched their videos, and was able, in 8 hours, to pipe logs to a source, create a few time series and create a dashboard with a few charts that shows the things he really cared about. 

It absolutely blew his fucking mind... His team had tried do something like this in Azure App Insight for months.
So thank you guys! Awesome work.

The built-in videos were a bit fast and I had to rewatch them a few times.

**What problems is Better Stack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From not knowing their product at all, to being able to get value out of the logs and build a dashboard in about 8 hours of work is mind blowing. Their product is lean and mean... No fluff. Just straight to getting value out of my logs. This product is incredible.

It is a free tool to help me monitor my service at the same time it helps my customers to know if there is any issue with the platform. The interface is very intuitive and the free stuff is really good.

**What do you dislike about Better Stack?**

I haven't found any downside yet, actually I created the account simply to monitor the website and ended up finding a lot of useful additional tools.

It monitors my websites 24/7 and sends me notifications the moment there’s an issue, so I can jump in immediately and solve it.

I use Better Stack for site monitoring and uptime, and I find the notifications and alerting very useful. The app is easy to use and intuitive, and it works great. I also appreciate that it has a mobile app, which allows me to monitor the stack from my phone and get alerted immediately. Setup was super easy and only took a few minutes. Additionally, the Slack integration works great with Better Stack.
