## Basecamp Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to use, but not the most effective

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It's easy to pull up all of your assigned tasks in one click

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It was too easy to duplicate tasks in a way that made it more performative, rather than actually effective.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining tasks in an open manner and assigning owners. That made it really helpful in collaborative projects where little details were easy to miss.

  ### 2. Basecamp wins.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

We've tried them all and Basecamp is the easiest to use, and the easiest to share. Our clients love it. We don't have to train anyone how to use it. And we get more work done.

If your team can use email, they can use Basecamp. It really is that easy. Ever client we being in is pleasantly surprised.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

500 GB of storage should be increased to 1 TB
Lacks voice and video call function (we prefer to not use video so it works for us, but an option call a team memeber from within Basecamp would be great).

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp makes remote work easy. We needed a clean and simple to use task list. We needed a clean discussion board, and we needed a way to organize our documents in a digital space that allowed us to comment and collaborate on each file.

  ### 3. Without Basecamp, we'd be lost...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff R. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It's hard to narrow the benefits of Basecamp to "one thing I like best." The two greatest features are a) team collaboration capabilities and b) transparency internally and externally (client-facing).

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I don't feel there are any downsides. There are some nuances I would change, but in the big scheme of things, nothing critical, and many of the things we would like to have adjusted are over time.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The largest problem or challenge that Basecamp helps us solve is the very high number of clients that our small and nimble team manages at any given time. Without Basecamp, we would be lost.

  ### 4. The simplest way to get work done

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madison P. | Senior Digital Merchandiser, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The best thing about Basecamp is that it helps keep everyone on the same page by providing a clear overview of what needs doing, when it needs to be completed, and what has already been accomplished. This makes coordination among team members much more accessible and ensures that projects are completed efficiently. Additionally, the various features offered by Basecamp (task tracking, calendaring, file sharing) facilitate communication and collaboration between team members, making it an ideal tool for businesses that require a coordinated effort from their employees.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I wouldn't say I like Basecamp because the company's customer service is slow to react to inquiries and assist consumers in resolving problems that emerge while using the software. Additionally, the program stops us from working simultaneously on different projects.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This service has helped reduce the amount of time spent on group work in situations where Basecamp is more popular, as it allows collaboration for the administration of projects by centralizing each project's crew.

  ### 5. The program lets you feel at peace while managing your work.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina M. | Senior Analyst Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is one of the best management solutions for small and medium-sized firms because it provides an easy-to-use dashboard that displays a range of essential tools in one spot. With Basecamp, you can easily keep track of due dates and other critical project-related dates with the calendar, track time, communicate directly with team members, and transfer files quickly. You can divide the team into subgroups based on their expertise and distribute tasks accordingly.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

What I dislike about Basecamp is that its money-handling capabilities are minimal. There is no tax manager and no list of projects that have been compiled, which makes it challenging to keep track of project costs. It also inhibits team communication because there is no screen-sharing system or built-in chat and no way for us to make video calls.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The construction of a platform for interdepartmental activities was facilitated. It has given us a central point for conducting business, sharing information, and coordinating our efforts. It will assist us in expanding our potential outcomes and the types of partners we may collaborate with.

  ### 6. A very dependable program.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason C. | District Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

What we like best about Basecamp is its comprehensive array of project management systems. With such a vast automation capacity, it can handle the majority of the work and make delivering excellent results much more accessible. We also appreciate how well organized everything is—routine tasks are streamlined, and communication between users in different locations is encouraged thanks to the platform's cloud-based design. The Dashboard feature is terrific since it lets us see all the programs we interact with simultaneously."

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I don't appreciate the attitude of the customer service team at Basecamp. I deserve a thoughtful and committed response to my inquiries, but I often need more helpful answers. They seem to need to gain knowledge on various subjects, making it difficult to answer my question comprehensively.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For several of our initiatives, we utilized Basecamp to coordinate with internal and external agencies. Utilizable for collaborating on quality assurance projects and getting things done. It helped us to achieve company-wide transparency but wasn't the most intuitive.

  ### 7. Crucial to our Organizational Process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon G. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Easy access to team members and great for keeping all information in a single place. Also very convenient to have creatives and graphics stored within each individual project.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Scheduling of tasks and deadlines could be a bit more flexible. Assigning tasks has to be done separately from the documents themself, which can be a hassle as we use documents as individual projects.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp keeps our team organized and creates a space that all of our creative ideas and plans can live. it gives all of us easy access to our assets and also allows us to be more collaborative.

  ### 8. The Best Project Management Software We Have Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roshen P. | SEO Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The commnication between our own team and the client's staff has become so much easier. We can share reports and discuss with our team before sharing it with the clients.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The mobile application can be improved. I tried using BaseCamp 2 app on an iPhone device but it's not the same as the web application. They could improve UX/UI.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BaseCamp makes it so much easier for our clients to upload files related to the project in a few clicks. The simple user interface allows us to organize everything and make notes to our own team and send updates to the client.

  ### 9. Basecamp is very simple to use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deanna S. | System Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp's organization features are its best attribute. The program enables you to handle several groups and projects simultaneously without feeling overwhelmed. You can communicate with others using one of the many accessible channels, such as " notifications," community " fires," or comments on individual objects. This way, you can pick the amount of privacy for each encounter. I usually upload a file (e.g., a screenshot or finished task) upon logging in. If additional requirements arise, my manager can reopen To-Dos, and I can use To-Do lists to stay on track.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I wish Basecamp supported the real-time editing of files. It is possible for me to collaborate with my team, but we can only provide feedback on one another's work via comments and not make changes to the file itself. Reuploading a modified file takes longer than making the same changes in real time, so it would be beneficial if this feature were available.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is nothing that I dislike about Basecamp. Its user-friendly layout facilitates incredibly straightforward communication and task management. Meeting on Basecamp is significantly more practical than in-person meetings. In contrast, face-to-face meetings are more effective, but only when dealing with significant issues.

  ### 10. I use it all the time for my projects - Best Project Management Tool Ever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Modasser A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It is easy to navigate in different projects and tasks and the best things is that it also sends notification everytime a new task is assigned.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Looks like a bit old fashioned interface

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While using basecamp, it is very easy to manage hundreds of tasks and projects as a time and everything looks easy while using BC for my work

  ### 11. Good experience but many competitors

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I liked using Basecamp for project management. Information sharing and note taking. It's easy to use and easy for everyone to get the hang of. A good collaborative tool

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The competition is very present. The visual is a little veiullot. I like the more map-like presentation of other applications. Otherwise basecamp the connection with Slack or other are a little more complex

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp helps to share information, centralize information and share between teams to manage a project. The use of enterprise customer helps a lot for the communication and the good management

  ### 12. Great for Project Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catie W. | Marketing & Communications Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

A great program for project management. It has a great amount of customization so it can be customized to the individual using it. Overall, I enjoyed the layout and the ability to have chats based on boards, rather than having to separate the information between other channels. I believe it also has an open API and can be integrated with other platforms.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The most frustrating thing is not being able to select a group of people to tag in a message. With a bigger organization this could be a massive problem as currently you would have to tag each person individually.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The boards systems utilized in Basecamp is great for project management and keeps all the information about one company in one section. Overall, a fantastic platform for project management.

  ### 13. good PM tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

i think it is a very good tool for project managers to schedule and trackEVM

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I find it is under developed in some area of higher level analysis

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It enables people on a project to work together in real time

  ### 14. Easy to use project management tools, but needs some improvements.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela P. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is an easy-to-use tool that streamlines the project management process, i use Basecamp every day to perform tasks. It saved us a lot of time when sending emails between our company and our customers. Another big advantage is that all of your company's bookings and notifications are integrated so you can always use them without having to search on your computer. A very fast learning curve that is easy to use for new users promotes good communication. The pricing model is ideal for growing your business because you can add users, client users, unlimited file storage, and more without increasing costs.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Lack of fundamental functionality such as Gantt views, subtasks, time tracking, and macro-level project visibility requiring the utilization of extra connectors to fulfill typical project management requirements User access/privilege customization options are lacking. The outcomes, nevertheless, make the time invested worthwhile.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inserting a to-do list into Basecamp was easy, the interface is clean and simple, so I thought it would be easy to learn when planning a project. With Basecamp, I was able to communicate and plan with my team. The management of the entire project has been greatly improved and by handling tasks within the project, it serves as the only reliable source of file storage and communication (between team members or internally with clients). Through internal projects, it acts as a repository for corporate processes, intranets, intrawikis and more.

  ### 15. This is a basecamp workspace.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fang-Ting K. | Principal Statistical Programmer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I appreciate how well-organized and managed Basecamp is. It allows me to keep track of different projects for multiple clients all at once, which makes my work a lot more efficient. I also love how easy it is to communicate and collaborate with team members by sharing images and notes. Basecamp is an excellent project management software that comes at a very reasonable price point. Its user-friendly interface and straightforward navigation make it easy to use, even for beginners.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The software's biggest drawback is that it makes it more challenging to keep track of all of our different lines of inquiry and threads union. Unfortunately, not always knowing where the best place to write something is a significant disadvantage of this program. In summary, while this program has some excellent features for teamwork and interaction, its lack of organization can be frustrating and interfere with productivity.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp is a project management tool that helps teams stay organized and on track. It ensures everyone is on the same page and that nothing gets lost in email threads.

  ### 16. Basecamp is a great way for my university to connect with our advertising agency that we work with

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Afiya F. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I like the fact that the interface is easy to read. I love that each user can choose their icon. This is great for visual people.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There is a jumble of icons at the top of the home page which can be overwhelming sometimes

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to email people back and forth. You can discuss work and share files without clogging up your email.

  ### 17. Basecamp: A method of preparation based on practice

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max T. | Sales Development Representative, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The best thing about Basecamp is its ability to help us communicate more efficiently with our loved ones. With this program, we can share files and information quickly and efficiently, which makes staying in touch much simpler. The program's archiving feature is also handy for keeping track of customer correspondence. Overall, Basecamp provides an excellent medium for communication and coordination between team members.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I wouldn't say I like that creating a comprehensive project schedule in Basecamp is challenging. While you can set due dates for tasks, there isn't an easy way to see when things are supposed to start and end or how multiple resources fit into the picture. I also wish there was a Gantt chart view available. Without these features, it's hard to use Basecamp as my sole project management tool.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Basecamp app was helpful for us in organizing our work, maintaining communication centralization for all project-related matters, and monitoring our comprehensive to-do lists. With so many moving parts within a team setting, we needed an application like Basecamp to keep everything streamlined.

  ### 18. Basecamp makes it easier for teams to collaborate.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaac H. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I like many things about Basecamp, but some of my favorite features include the robustness of the platform and its ability to scale to projects of any size. I also appreciate the variety of available features and Basecamp's flexibility regarding which components can be enabled or disabled for a given project. Another big selling point for me is Basecamp's extensive document creation tools - they have made it significantly easier for our team to create comprehensive records. Finally, I love that Basecamp integrates with many other popular services (via Chrome Extensions).

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I wouldn't say I like Basecamp because it requires users to be flexible in their communication methods. In light of the size and composition of the team, this could be a difficult task. However, all innovative techniques of team communication have similar requirements.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The basecamp tool is designed to help with task management and delegation. It allows users to create tasks, assign them to team members, and track the progress of those tasks. This can help ensure that projects are on track and meeting deadlines.

  ### 19. Convenient for managing communication internally and externally

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Animation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Easy to switch between internal and external messaging when you have the client invited to the project too.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I don't like scrolling down the message board to see the reply and continue the thread, sometimes the thread is just too long.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping project-related communication in one place is the most apparent benefit I can think of. It saves time and energy and keeps everyone organized.

  ### 20. Basecamp is the best method for telecommuting!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin D. | Senior Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

What I like best about Basecamp is the effective team communication and collaboration it allows. No matter where we are, friends, family, and coworkers are always just a phone call or computer click away. Additionally, Basecamp makes it easy to organize all documents and files efficiently - which is a massive advantage over other software programs. Exchange information, files, and copies quickly between users. This program fosters conversation functional e-mail-sending capability that ranks highly among software programs currently available.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Even though Basecamp is an excellent product, it's not always easy to use. This program's biggest flaw is that users can't download multiple documents simultaneously; they can only download individual files, which is tedious and time-consuming.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been having some issues with Basecamp lately. Many complain that it's hard to track what everyone is doing, and the monthly spreads don't seem to be helping much. I'm not sure what we should do about this problem.

  ### 21. Best Team Project Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mavrik L. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Really makes for an "all in one" Project Management tool, like the swiss army tool of the online space.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Client's can find it confusing when setting up their account logins

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't need a huge team to manage a project when using Basecamp, and I also save a lot of time using the tool rather than booking meeting after meeting

  ### 22. GOOD APP FOR OFFICE TEAMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhruvil V. | Back End Developer Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

We can make groups for different work, which is also easy to use. The email reminder is also a good feature. It is a communication app for the work environment. If you are running a company, it's a good app for communication.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Sometimes the email reminder became a pain in the head. Even the most minor things are getting reminders, and notification s are not perfect as per time .some times you will not get notifications which is bad for work.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If they fix the notification problem, it is the most important thing because without it, we can`t know what work to do, and other is that only important emails will appear so that we can only get important information.

  ### 23. Basecamp: A successful method of project management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher M. | Manager | Account Strategy | Retail Media, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

There are many things to like about Basecamp, but one of the best features is its ability to handle complex task scheduling. This software makes it easy for project managers to see how tasks should be completed and when they need to be completed. Additionally, Basecamp ensures that all employees have access to duplicate files and data so everyone can stay on the same page.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

What I don't like about Basecamp is that it doesn't have the robust features and security that businesses need. It's also not very specific and focuses more on the big picture than on sharing documents. Another downside is that it looks and feels quite essential compared to other options.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What problem does the Basecamp I've undertaken responsibly for creating work schedules for the entire staff solve? They rely on it daily to determine where they should go and what must be accomplished. Each participant can access the project's history and upload documents such as invoices and receipts.

  ### 24. Basecamp...always the underdog

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian S. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I like that Basecamp allows you to make it your own. With projects, boards, to-dos, and more, the possibilities are endless.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

They're slow to catch on to what other companies do. They're innovative in their own way on their own timing, and that can sometimes make it feel out-of-date.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me project manage my entire business. From building timelines to keeping track of project sprints, it has everything we need to keep everyone on track.

  ### 25. Excellent platform for great work management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annabeth M. | Co-Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is everything I needed to make my work experience much more enjoyable, it simplifies various procedures through its simple functions, I have tried similar tools and they do not make the workflow easier, but much more complicated. I like its interface, it's intuitive, simple, safe, and easy to use. Configuring and adapting the functions of the right tools to what I need for my work is essential and Basecamp certainly offers me this. It is totally flexible, and I can access it from wherever I want with easy access. It allows me to classify the tasks and build a guide with various details, which offers me the possibility of being bold enough in labor management and facilitating the entire process of projects and teamwork.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

So far Basecamp is a tool that flows perfectly and has served us as I have needed it, if there is something that I cannot solve, customer support is there to help solve it.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the best benefits that we have obtained from Basecamp has been the best teamwork and optimization in the workflow, where labor productivity has increased and has helped us to better converge in the projects and increase our success rate always from a collaborative perspective. Basecamp is the perfect guide that we use every day to follow our commercial objectives and follow commercial tasks to the letter.

  ### 26. Easy project management!

**Reviewed by:** Denisse I. | Head of Community, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I love to be able to get assigned projects and a way to organize the messages being sent about it.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I dislike that anyone can move and delete files. I wish someone was able to have permissions to do these things and other members be blocked from doing that.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better communications and project management.

  ### 27. Great Tools For Both Collaboration and Project Management!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lewis H. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Currently, I use Basecamp to plan out my monthly tasks and mark off the things I have completed. A live spreadsheet that several users may update in real time is also helpful. I like how the dashboard provide a summary of the data. The system is well-organized and user-friendly; you may filter and see information based on your search criteria.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Subtasks, time tracking, and global visibility across numerous projects are among the fundamental characteristics that are not present. Additional integrations are required to meet conventional project management criteria.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It enables me to keep track of the project's progress on a daily basis and categorize it into various sub-categories that aid in project organization at various stages.

  ### 28. A versatile tool for Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rakesh B. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Base camp is a versatile product for collaboration, project management and its planning. The interface of Basecamp is so easy to navigate. My favorite thing about this product is automation with Zapier. It automates task progress tracking and creating documents record, which helps me save a lot of time. Assigning tasks to any onboard user is easy.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There is not much customization option in the dashboard to design them according to specific projects.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our project planning and execution have become unified by using Basecamp as it helps us to create a roadmap for our projects. Additionally, it has allowed us to collaborate and work more productively while working outside the office. Using the profile search ability I'm able to assign tasks to coworkers directly from the dashboard.

  ### 29. Improves effectiveness and communication in projects.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel G. | Chief Operating Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is easy to navigate, I have had no problems managing this platform as it is very inclusive, making it easy for anyone without training to start managing tasks and projects.
The API is very useful since it helps a lot with the extension and integration with internal and external systems that improve the capabilities that Basecamp has, such as viewing the status of assigned tasks without entering Basecamp directly.
It is easy to be able to manage the deadlines of the tasks, in general, scheduling a task is very simple, it is enough to do, and delivery date. Files such as videos and images can also be attached to the assignment in case more information is required.
Finally, I like that you can count on a search with a keyword, without complications.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

To be honest, the price seems a bit expensive for the few features it has, plus it takes a long time to include new features.
The management of multiple projects is overwhelming, it is not very easy to say to be able to manage several projects without having everything in a single panel.
I wish I could have the feature to produce Gantt charts.
Basecamp needs to listen more to its clients, I feel that it pays us very little or almost no attention when we recommend that they include necessary features for project management.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

First, analyze the price before acquiring Basecamp, it may not suit you, but if what you need is a place where you can communicate with the work team while managing a project without the need to have experts in front of the monitor who knows about the software of project management because this platform is a good solution. It also serves very well for small companies with a lack of experienced personnel in the field of project management.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform was chosen because of how simple it was to open an account and start creating a project and assigning tasks without any problem, this helped a lot in improving productivity since its learning curve was very short. In addition, a space was needed where the company's employees could have a conversation about the project they were involved in without losing the thread of the conversation, and Basecamp was the best option for maintaining the integration of both needs.

  ### 30. Basecamp is the best way to complete projects and have fun doing them

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marisa C. | Director, American Express Technologies Finance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

What I like best about Basecamp is its usefulness for project management. It's simple to administer, monitor, and use for team leaders and project managers, saving time and energy across the board—from teamwork to individual responsibilities related to the project. Registering, choosing a plan that works for your business, and inviting your team to participate in tasks are all straightforward processes. Additionally, it's an excellent application for significant enterprises as well as small businesses.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

What I don't like about Basecamp is that it's expensive. Most of my employees can use the basic features just fine, but some have trouble understanding how everything in the project works together. There are a lot of other apps that do the same thing and aren't as pricey.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp is a great way to keep track of assignments and communicate with team members. The tool is easy to use and helps build strong working relationships.

  ### 31. Base camp for client communication

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivam G. | Technical Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Actually this is very helpful to create a thread on a particular item and if user added then can check all activities under it

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Ủi is very bad and not looking great and personal messaging also very bad here compare to other applications like slack

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help me in communicating with clients

  ### 32. A simple method for organizing and executing group tasks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana J. T. | Senior Program Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I like best about Basecamp is its simplicity in administering collaborative projects. I appreciate how straightforward it is to delegate tasks, monitor progress, and provide required files for a specific project. This functionality also allows interaction with Google Docs and Sheets, which is handy. With Basecamp, you can communicate easily with your whole team by making separate " groups " for specific activities and chatting with them through the integrated chat feature. You can even "ping" someone to get their attention if you have information regarding a particular project.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I find that Basecamp is not very well integrated with email. As a result, it appears that my email stream and Basecamp feed are entirely disconnected. I wish Gmail emails could be imported into the app for consistency and documentation.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem with Basecamp is that it can be challenging to keep track of everything. There are so many different sections and projects, making it hard to find what you're looking for or know where to start. This can be frustrating and lead to people not using Basecamp as much as they should, which defeats the purpose of having it in the first place.

  ### 33. Great Project Management tool

For some reason I don't always get notified when there are changes or things for me to review.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp has been a vital tool for connecting our team over 14 countries. I love the new features. Interface is intuitive, and easily learned by broad range of ages.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I would like to be able to move someone from a client to a collaborator a bit easier.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp allows our team to keep everything in one place and operate in real time. Far less confusion than using multiple applications or platforms.

  ### 36. It's still the best project management tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

You can centralize all the project information, channel communication with your client in a very orderly manner and you can also maintain privacy with your team colleagues

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The way you now create new customer contacts you work with and add them to the new project. Also the monthly price is high.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me centralize the information of each project and channel it in an orderly manner with the clients.

  ### 37. Indispensible tool that has helped me deliver 1000s of projects over the lat 10 years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Simple no-nonsense tool which is easy to learn and use

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The is nothing to dislike about it but sometimes it can feel oversimplified

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am always working on multiple projects with multiple teams spread across the country. Basecamp is my war room where I stay updated on all the project and easily provide my inputs to all my teams. It is the main communication portal used in our organisation.

  ### 38. CTO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramon T. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It's dead simple. From pricing to interface, people new to it will have few issues navigating Basecamp.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Quick switching isn't as quick as it could be and doesn't show all options. Because of this, people in the company still use our chat tools for quick messages.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp helps us keep our discussions organized. By being organized, it is easier to re-absorb them in the future should the need arise.

  ### 39. project management system is fine

**Reviewed by:** Amanda D. | Marketing Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Easy to use and allowed for various threads of communication regarding projects

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I think Asana is better; it has a better look and feel that is even more user friendly

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with an outside agency and getting their questions answered easily

  ### 40. Basecamp is simple to use!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph D. | Sr. Marketing Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

What I like best about Basecamp is its user-friendliness and effectiveness for managing project tasks using data entered by all team members in collaboration. Having a central location for tracking the progress of all projects and a repository for all team members' uploaded files and information makes Basecamp an invaluable tool for managing company initiatives effectively.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There are a few things I dislike about Basecamp. The first is that the search filters seem to be malfunctioning. This makes it difficult to find specific information when I need it. Additionally, I would like more options for managing members' availability.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem is that the Basecamp, I am responsible for creating calendars for every employee in the office. They consult it daily to determine their next course of action and the order in which their objectives should be attained.

  ### 41. Great platform. Easy to use, good for managing jobs.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian H. | Digital Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Really like using it to manage my day to day work, the Heys are really useful.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The approval being removed. Really unhappy about this, used it daily to track what work had been approved, and also used it as proof the client had ok'd the job for print. Really need that putting back in place.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time management and reminding me what jobs need doing when .

  ### 42. Better than the rest

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2017

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is a great way to get all the members of your team on the same page when it comes to workflow and project status. It's far better than email for maintaining timely communications.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The interface could use some work so that project status and components are more visible or accessible on the dashboard.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a small 2-person communication staff dealing with dozens of concurrent projects necessitated a more decentralized comms function where internal 'clients' have a stake in managing and contributing to the project workflow by being able to share docs, tasks, ideas in one place (rather than in multiple email threads).

  ### 43. Basecamp maintains the best price/quality ratio available on the market

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelica B. | Senior Marketing Manager, U.S. Strategic Property Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is the best choice for managing web design and everything that any project is related to this. It is essential for creating a timeline with the client and being shown that the assignment of tasks serves a purpose. It has web and mobile integrations, which makes it even better to use. It is the best tool for communication with customers through mass emails.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

One of the biggest disadvantages of Basecamp has always been its competition, people are more used to use other file managers like Dropbox or Google Drive, but Basecamp has tools that others don't have. It lacks a lot of tutorials for new users, tutorials that help to break down all that Basecamp has to offer.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, Basecamp has given us an excellent experience. Basecamp is the best tool for project and multi-project management without even paying for a membership. Thank you Basecamp for making our projects a new way to reach customers in an immediate, secure and projectable way.

  ### 44. It has helped our organization with creating many projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zoe M. | Donor relations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp has been helpful as we have been able to organize different projects within our organization and we are able to follow up with questions by using the to-do's

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

What I don't like about basecamp is that it is not in another language as we are bilingual, and our staff members are not able to use it and we have to train them in English to be able to learn how to use it.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problem for us is organization solving, following up, and having data storage. We haven't been able to have data update until we were able to use basecamp

  ### 45. Efficient PM and Communication Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arghadeep S. | Inside Sales Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp comes with dozens of collaboration capabilities, including real-time communication tools that eliminate the need for third-party applications, because it's a remote work platform. Other project management software restricts communication to task or card comments, but Basecamp incorporates group chat, message boards, and pings. Message boards are for larger-scale communications like announcements, presenting ideas, and sharing progress updates, whereas Grou chats are for casual internal conversation. Ping can also be used for one-on-one or small group talks.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There is no mechanism to assign priority levels to jobs other than adjusting the due dates. If a person has a big to-do list, they may end up focusing on low-priority chores rather than high-priority tasks if they aren't careful. This isn't usually an issue with smaller projects or simple jobs because it's evident what's most important. However, at size, this may become an issue for some companies.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Basecamp is a low-cost option. Worth considering

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Syncing calendar is a common source of friction for businesses of all sizes, but it's especially difficult for remote staff. Users can sync their Google Calendars and Outlook calendars with Basecamp's integrated calendar tool to know who's available and when. Users can also turn on or off jobs and due dates to get a full picture of what's coming up and when they're due. To condense your calendar down to the most important events, to-dos, and tasks related to a single project, you can choose to display different sorts of events, to-dos, and tasks associated with that project. Furthermore, rather than conversing about what time works best, users may quickly arrange calls with one another.

  ### 46. Basecamp has helped us a lot in our content development work. We highly recommend this to all.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hassan S. | Director of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The ability to add and segregate clients from the team is the best feature and comes in handy for effective communication.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

One thing that only the person who has added a To-do should be able to change its deadline or edit its details.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing a team of 100+ employees, including in-office and remote workers and ensuring the deadlines are met on time.

  ### 47. Wide range of tools to track tasks and manage projects efficiently.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mina U. | Finance Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

One of the most significant advantages of utilizing Basecamp is being able to know who is accountable for what tasks as well as when tasks are due and their present state. It is an excellent project management tool for groups of any size, it's an excellent resource for project collaboration and responsibility management. Having access into every facet of a project is crucial to our firm since we are constantly looking for ways to enhance the way we handle projects and collaborate. One of my favorite things is the diversity of templates and the ability to collaborate with other individuals. When one person modifies the sheet, the other person who is logged in may view it.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I haven't discovered anything big that I dislike about it; it's quite good for coordinating my daily duties with larger projects we're working on and balancing/prioritizing my work as required. However, there is one little flaw: when you resize the cells, the changes do not persist when you reload the software. Preference settings, such as the size of cells within sheets and the home screen of sheets, should be persistent for each user profile.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

This is a cloud-based all-in-one program that may assist deliver all of the essential project management services. I recommend getting some of the available training or working with someone who has. We have a few of in-house specialists who have gone through various Basecamp training programs and have been tremendously helpful as we've begun to utilize the platform more and more over the last several years.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most difficult challenge they handled for us was coordinating with coworkers at the same time, the ability for many individuals to collaborate on the same document is quite useful. When we have a tight deadline, we both need to update the sheet at the same time. Employee phases and specific duties for whole projects across several teams can be designed for each individual engaged within our firm. We now have a very extensive and complicated project that includes critical milestones, deadlines, many responsible teams, and multiple employees inside each team that have personal obligations for this project, without Basecamp managing a project of this magnitude and keeping track of where we are in.

  ### 48. Best tool for project management and also for team communication.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The only thing that I dislike about basecamp is that in the android basecamp application sometimes it doesn't give me a notification everything except that is top-notch for me.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Every day it helps me to keep track of what I have to do and also helped a lot with managing my work-related data it makes my whole team more productive and boosted my efficiency.
