I enjoy being able to view and share documents very easily. Drag & drop works fantastic. It is very easy to use and seems quite user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It doesn’t have a function to close each window or operation once it’s opened. You can click elsewhere to get out of it, but I’d prefer to have a small “x” on the screen (or back button) so I can close each operation separately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like a lot of things about Basecamp, but one of the most useful features is the ability to look up previous projects. After I look up the projects, I can then reopen the tickets, add additional tasks, and then they appear in our project list within Basecamp. Using Basecamp is quite easy, and it's effective for managing our project and ticketing system. We receive alerts when messages are in the ticket, which allows us to efficiently see the projects when they're ready and then move them on to the next phase. The ping emails could be a bit quicker. The ping itself is instant, but the email notifications often take a few minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how easy and intuitive Basecamp is. It's easy to find the conversation and thread of a product, and I can see all of our conversations at a glance. Basecamp helps us organize our products into different areas where we can have ongoing conversations with everyone involved in the process. It's accessible regardless of location, which is a plus given our global team. The intuitive layout makes it easier to track and see what is happening with our products. I'd like to see if there are ways to integrate Basecamp with our other tools so it's not yet another tool to check, even though we do receive the emails when there are updates and new messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Basecamp is its simplicity with structure. Everything related to a project lives in one place—messages, tasks, files, schedules, and check-ins—so there’s far less switching between tools. Communication feels clearer and more intentional, especially with message boards and automatic check-ins that reduce noisy, real-time chat. It also has a low cognitive load because it’s deliberately opinionated: there aren’t endless features, just the ones most teams actually need, which makes adoption and consistency easier. What I dislike about Basecamp is that its simplicity can feel limiting once a team’s needs grow. The task management is fairly basic, so if you need advanced workflows, dependencies, custom statuses, or detailed reporting, it can feel restrictive. There’s also no real-time chat in the way tools like Slack offer, which is intentional but can be frustrating for teams that rely on quick back-and-forth conversations. Customization is minimal overall, so you have to adapt your processes to Basecamp rather than tailoring the tool to how your team already works. Finally, for very large or complex projects, it can be harder to get a high-level view of progress across multiple projects without exporting data or using external tools. I really appreciate the fact that Basecamp is intuitive and easy to use. It is very responsive and customizable, which allows me to adapt the tool according to my needs. The creation of cards by project is a feature that I use often and find very practical. The to-do list templates are also very useful and greatly facilitate organization. The assignment of tasks and the dating of tasks are aspects that I really like, as they allow for better project management. Finally, the initial setup of Basecamp is very simple to handle, and everything becomes intuitive and fast once the setup is completed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like to be able to be even more precise in scheduling tasks by setting action times or action durations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use basecamp daily ad a part of my regular workflow. What i like about basecamp is how it keeps task management practical and low overhead while still covering the essentials i needed to run projects smoothly. Creating and assigning tasks is straightforward, i can add clear descriptions, owners and due dates without getting lost in configuration. The ability to set deadlines and milestones wither manually or based on templates helps me keep work predictable and aligned with my delivery goals. I also like how to-do lists are scoped per user. Everyone in my team can see exactly what they are responsible for without unnecessary noise from unrelated tasks which is especially helpful in larger teams like mine. customization while intentionally limited to keep things simple, can also be frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Basecamp to keep track of tasks and stay in touch with my team during high-level projects. It helps with our collaboration within and outside our organization. Our productivity has increased over the years. I like being able to create separate Projects to make it easy to keep track of data for future tasks, and it helps keep track of different projects for all the departments. I've enjoyed all the features and haven't had many issues in the last ten years of use. The initial setup was very easy since it was all online-based. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't dislike anything about Basecamp Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Basecamp is how calm it feels to use. Everything you need is in one place without trying to do too much. Tasks, discussions, files, and timelines are easy to find, which cuts down on noise and constant back-and-forth. It helps teams stay aligned without turning project management into a full-time job. What I dislike about Basecamp is that it can feel a bit limiting once projects get more complex. The lack of advanced reporting, detailed task dependencies, and flexible views makes it harder to manage larger or fast-moving teams. It works well for simplicity, but that same simplicity can get in the way when you need deeper control or customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Basecamp helps me lay everything out clearly before i even start on the project. The task features are honestly a big thing for me. I can spin up tasks quickly, assign them with all the necessary details and set due dates without jumping through the hoops. The fact that i can layer on priorities, link dependencies and even schedule recurring tasks makes my planning smoother so much. The drag and drop capability feels small but it makes reorganizing timelines incredibly painless. I also appreciate how basecamp doesn't lock me into one way of working. Whether i'm running something tin a traditional way or managing iterative sprints, the system handles both without forcing me to overhaul my approach. when it comes to speed, basecamp is exceptionally fast , thanks to its intentionally lightweight feature set. one limitation i feel is the lack of built in time tracking. i have to rely on third party tools for time or billable hours which adds additional steps to my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The upsides of using basecamp is its ability to distill complex project coordination into an interface that feels clean, intuitive and genuinely supportive of focused work. My work life often involve multiple parallel experiments, tight timelines and cross functional teams and basecamp does an excellent job keeping all of those moving parts organized without overwhelming me. The schedule feature keeps experiment timelines, regulatory submissions and cross team milestones visible in one place. This is particularly helpful when coordinating with collaborators working across sites and time zones. The message board is equally useful. It creates a central place for important updates and technical discussions that would otherwise get lost in email threads. Setting up the platform required almost no formal training for me. This ease of implementation made it possible for basecamp to deliver value from day one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I just enjoy using the basecamp platform for its simplicity and clean layout. it is highly reliable and pleasantly easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
