"User friendly"
What do you like best about Ansys Maxwell?

I am using Ansys Maxwell for the industrialization phase of the traction motor development. I have used other electromagnetic FEA tools too but when comparing to those Ansys Maxwell provides a really good user friendly interface and wide range of post processing capabilities to the user. In built circuit editor simplorer provides a platform to couple the power electronics with electromagnetic FEA which allows us to model the motor more accurately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Maxwell?

Rmxprt can be improved a lot. Improving the capabilities to export the electromagnetic results to other software like Star CCM ,Ansa, etc,. for further studies such as thermal and structural. Importing mesh from other meshing software into the tool can be added since it provides greater flexibility for the end user to use the same mesh in different software for the further analysis. All the motor control models are created in MATLAB so it will be a great advantage if Ansys Maxwell can provide a way to export the FEA results in to a MATLAB compatible 1D model for the further study of control systems. "Electromagnetic Field Simulation"
What do you like best about Ansys Maxwell?

It is very professional in performing low frequency electromagnetic field simulations and guides the users correctly thanks to its ready-made tools during the analysis process.

2D or 3D manyeto resistant modeling can be made.

It is used in calculating the magnetic fields created by electronic equipment or parts inside these equipment. In this way, it guides the designer during the prototyping phase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Maxwell?

There is a possibility to write script code in ANSYS Maxwell, but there must be an interface that can explain this to users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"This is bread and butter!"
What do you like best about Ansys Maxwell?

The built in algorithms can combat any problem and is very user friendly. I have been using 19 version now. The aesthetics have had minor improvements. I like the versatility of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Maxwell?

The welcome screen is terribly tiny for 4k resolution. I have to use a magnifier to see the tree and other options. The software glitches in case of heavy computation. I would like to see some improvements in these things. Other than that, it is a very good tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Personally most recommended software for low frequency EM field simulation."
What do you like best about Ansys Maxwell?

The best thing that I like about this software is the functionality and it also has a wonderful UI. The software also gives us a very important advantage in this competitive world and in this particular field with affordable costs, fast run time and also with incredible improvement in the performance of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Maxwell?

I haven't faced any problems yet which can become one of the point that I don't like about this software. So currently there is nothing that I don't like about this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ansys Review"
What do you like best about Ansys Maxwell?

Ease of use and interfacing with multiple CAD modules provides the biggest bebfit of the software. Duplication of systems, additional loadcases, and material creation makes the software even more user friendly. Also, simulation times trend lower as the software becomes more robust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ansys Maxwell?

Within the comapny, we use a lot of macros written and tailored toward our specific components. From release to release, Ansys will occasionally rename new variables and naming conventions causing us to rework our macros or not perform properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
