What do you like best about Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3)?

Unlimited Storage - a single object in a bucket can hold up to 5 Terabytes of data! This allows me to store anything I want on the Cloud regardless of its size.

All data in my Amazon S3 is private - I am the only one who can access them with the login credentials, and I don't need to worry about my data landing in the wrong hands.

It's also worth noting that data is stored redundantly in the Amazon S3, so I can easily retrieve the backup copy in case of data loss.

The most common benefit to everyone is that you can access your data anywhere, anytime, provided you are connected to the internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Amazon S3 to store objects and the data generated from our software to be better kept & securely used as a backup when & if needed, we also use a program to mirror the buckets to equally divide the object load once uploaded using custom EC2-based servers. Amazon S3 improves the performance of the page and improves page speed drastically by helping with caching and fast retrieval of static web assets. It ensures high availablity and replication to different caching zones so that the site performances is very similar across multiple geography.
