On the other hand, S3 event notification triggers an AWS Lambda function everytime new log data is uploaded to S3 bucket. AWS Lambda processes the log data to filter, transform and enrich in real time, such as extracting IP addresses, URLs, reputation, categorizing event types etc. The processed log data and user events are then stored in S3 Glacier for long-term archiving.
