What is Adobe Acrobat, and what problem is it built to solve?

Adobe Acrobat is used to create, edit, convert, organize, review, and share PDF documents. It helps make PDFs workable for everyday document tasks, including revisions and approvals, without requiring users to rebuild documents from scratch.

What languages does Adobe Acrobat support?

Adobe Acrobat supports 27 languages, including English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish, among others.

What company sizes and industries is Adobe Acrobat the best fit for?

Adobe Acrobat appears across small businesses, mid-market organizations, and enterprises, with positive experiences reported across several industries. The most represented segments include:
  • Company sizes: Small Business, Enterprise, and Mid-Market.
  • Industries: Information Technology and Services, Higher Education, Financial Services, Computer Software, and Accounting.

How long does it take to implement Adobe Acrobat across a team?

Teams describe getting started quickly, with the most common go-live experience taking less than a day. Other reported timelines span several weeks or months.

What customer support options does Adobe Acrobat provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Support is available through email/help desk, phone, and chat, with 24/7 live-rep support. The experience is mixed: users value the available help and resources, while others describe slow responses or a drawn-out process for resolving account and support issues.

What tools and platforms does Adobe Acrobat integrate with, and how do these integrations help users get more value from the product?

Adobe Acrobat offers 123 integrations, and users describe connections that bring PDF work into familiar tools and storage systems. Examples mentioned include:

  • Cloud storage: Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box.
  • Adobe creative tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Other workflow tools: Chrome, Salesforce, and Workday.
These connections help teams create and access PDFs from existing workflows, share files, and keep reviews and signature tasks moving without as much app switching.

What features or capabilities could make Adobe Acrobat even more useful?

Adobe Acrobat could be more useful with a faster, lighter experience and a more straightforward interface. Users also point to several practical improvements:
  • Improve performance and reduce resource use, especially with large or complex PDFs.
  • Simplify navigation and make common tools easier to find and customize.
  • Offer more flexible, affordable plans for users who need only selected PDF features.
  • Make editing and conversion more consistent, particularly for complex layouts and tables.

How useful do Adobe Acrobat users find its AI features in everyday use?

Adobe Acrobat’s AI tools are most useful when users need to get oriented in long documents, though they still check important details themselves. In everyday use, they help with:
  • Document summaries: Condensing lengthy PDFs into key points for faster review.
  • Document questions and information finding: Asking about a file or locating relevant details without scanning every page.
Some users find these tools helpful and time-saving, while others report inaccurate results or interruptions from prominent AI prompts.

Is Adobe Acrobat considered safe and secure for handling data?

Users describe Adobe Acrobat’s document-protection tools as helpful for handling sensitive files, including password protection, encryption, permissions, and redaction. That can support safer sharing and more controlled access, though redaction results should be checked carefully because users have reported occasional misses or incorrect selections.

"User-Friendly PDF Editing and Easy Signing in Adobe Acrobat"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

You can get a pdf document that is either editable or non editable. You can easily sign documents in adobe acrobat. It’s user friendly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

Sometimes it takes a bit to open or load. There is a lot this software performs so I understand but it can be glitchy for that reason. Other than that which occurs randomly it has been the source of all contract documents for signing and all of our invoices so we used this very heavily! Across every person in the organization. The subscription cost is quite high for individual users or small teams compared to alternatives. It's expensive compared to alternatives, and the subscription pricing feels steep for occasional users. It can also be slow to load on older computers, and some menus are buried deeper than they need to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Versatile PDF Swiss Army Knife with Excellent Accessibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

Adobe Acrobat is like a Swiss Army knife...it can do various functions to your documents. I've used it to make a document contain fillable fields, made quick corrections of text in a PDF, and combined documents together. Acrobat also has wonderful accessibility features to ensure that your document is screen readable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The navigation can be a bit difficult, since there are tons of choices offered along the side of the screen. It's sometimes hard to locate the exact tool you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive PDF Management with Some Cost Concerns"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I like Adobe Acrobat for its reliability and all-in-one convenience. It handles almost every PDF-related task in one place, including editing, signing, converting, organizing, and securing documents, so I don't need multiple apps. I really appreciate that the PDF formatting stays consistent across devices, which is crucial for professional documents, contracts, reports, and study materials. The e-signature feature is particularly useful because it saves time and eliminates the need for printing and scanning paperwork. The editing feature is valuable as it allows quick corrections or updates directly inside a PDF without recreating the entire document in another program, saving me a lot of time. I also find that the file conversion tools make it easy to convert PDFs into Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files for editing and then back into professional PDFs, simplifying document sharing and collaboration. These features improve productivity, reduce manual work, and make document management much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

While Adobe Acrobat is very powerful, there are a few areas that could be improved: - The subscription pricing can feel expensive, especially for users who only need basic PDF editing occasionally. - The software can sometimes be heavy and slow to load on lower-end computers or when working with large PDF files. - Some advanced tools are difficult for new users to find because the interface can feel crowded. - Certain features, like editing scanned documents, do not always work perfectly and may require manual corrections. - Frequent pop-ups promoting premium features or upgrades can occasionally interrupt the workflow. - The mobile version is useful, but some desktop features are limited or less convenient on smartphones. "Powerful PDF Editing and Accurate Results with Helpful AI Tools"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

Acrobat has got some powerful editing features where we can edit the text, images and any layouts in the pdf itself without converting it into other formats, which is not the case with many platforms, further more the accuracy and perfection of the final output is tremendous when compared to others which make a lot of mistakes after the final generation, it has got some integrated AI tools such as summarising the text in a document and giving a crisp context which makes it easier to understand, these things make it outstanding among others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

High subscription prices is one thing which I don't like about acrobat, other software platforms offer these features at a minimal cost. Also sometimes the platforms lags when we upload and work large PDFs, this reducing the performance, i found some inconsistencies in the cloud sync where sometimes the files don't get properly synced into the cloud. "Robust Document Management with User-Friendly Interface"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I like the feature of ABBY extraction in Adobe Acrobat, along with the extracting and OCR abilities, as they allow me to edit the text in files that already exist, even if they are password protected. The setup for Adobe is very easy, even for a beginner, and I also really appreciate that the dashboard is user-friendly and all the buttons are easy to understand. Creating pdf using our endorsement in our process is very useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

Some features are very tough to understand in the first place. Like, after some time only we can analyze what kind of features they are. And, sometimes also some features are very expensive to pay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
