What is Adobe Acrobat, and what problem is it built to solve?

Adobe Acrobat is used to create, edit, convert, organize, review, and share PDF documents. It helps make PDFs workable for everyday document tasks, including revisions and approvals, without requiring users to rebuild documents from scratch.

What languages does Adobe Acrobat support?

Adobe Acrobat supports 27 languages, including English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish, among others.

What company sizes and industries is Adobe Acrobat the best fit for?

Adobe Acrobat appears across small businesses, mid-market organizations, and enterprises, with positive experiences reported across several industries. The most represented segments include:
  • Company sizes: Small Business, Enterprise, and Mid-Market.
  • Industries: Information Technology and Services, Higher Education, Financial Services, Computer Software, and Accounting.

How long does it take to implement Adobe Acrobat across a team?

Teams describe getting started quickly, with the most common go-live experience taking less than a day. Other reported timelines span several weeks or months.

What customer support options does Adobe Acrobat provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Support is available through email/help desk, phone, and chat, with 24/7 live-rep support. The experience is mixed: users value the available help and resources, while others describe slow responses or a drawn-out process for resolving account and support issues.

What tools and platforms does Adobe Acrobat integrate with, and how do these integrations help users get more value from the product?

Adobe Acrobat offers 123 integrations, and users describe connections that bring PDF work into familiar tools and storage systems. Examples mentioned include:
  • Microsoft productivity and collaboration: Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Cloud storage: Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box.
  • Adobe creative tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Other workflow tools: Chrome, Salesforce, and Workday.
These connections help teams create and access PDFs from existing workflows, share files, and keep reviews and signature tasks moving without as much app switching.

What features or capabilities could make Adobe Acrobat even more useful?

Adobe Acrobat could be more useful with a faster, lighter experience and a more straightforward interface. Users also point to several practical improvements:
  • Improve performance and reduce resource use, especially with large or complex PDFs.
  • Simplify navigation and make common tools easier to find and customize.
  • Offer more flexible, affordable plans for users who need only selected PDF features.
  • Make editing and conversion more consistent, particularly for complex layouts and tables.

How useful do Adobe Acrobat users find its AI features in everyday use?

Adobe Acrobat’s AI tools are most useful when users need to get oriented in long documents, though they still check important details themselves. In everyday use, they help with:
  • Document summaries: Condensing lengthy PDFs into key points for faster review.
  • Document questions and information finding: Asking about a file or locating relevant details without scanning every page.
Some users find these tools helpful and time-saving, while others report inaccurate results or interruptions from prominent AI prompts.

Is Adobe Acrobat considered safe and secure for handling data?

Users describe Adobe Acrobat’s document-protection tools as helpful for handling sensitive files, including password protection, encryption, permissions, and redaction. That can support safer sharing and more controlled access, though redaction results should be checked carefully because users have reported occasional misses or incorrect selections.

"A Fully Featured PDF Editor Worth the Price"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

Adobe Acrobat is the standard for opening, editing, and creating PDFs. There are lots of other, cheaper PDF editors, but I think having one that is fully functional is worth the money. I like being able to convert PDF's to Word documents and other formats. The text recognition works pretty good most of the time. I also like being able to electronically sign important documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The UI is a bit confusing at first, since some of the important options are hidden in menus. I dislike the integration with web browsers; I'd rather just open the file in the actual full program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Adobe Acrobat Makes PDF Editing, Converting, and E-Signing Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

Adobe Acrobat makes handling PDFs so easy - editing, converting, and e-signing all in one place. The interface is simple and reliable, and it saves a lot of time compared to other PDF tools I've tried. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

It can feel a bit slow to load sometimes, especially with large files. The subscription pricing is also on the higher side compared to some alternatives, which can be a drawback for individual users or small teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable PDF software with plenty of useful features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I like how easy it is to edit, combine and organise PDFs without having to go back to the original documents. The commenting and annotation tools are particularly useful when reviewing client documentation, and being able to convert files between PDF and Word saves a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The subscription cost is quite high, especially when there are cheaper alternatives available for basic PDF tasks. Editing text and formatting in existing PDFs can also be frustrating at times, as the layout doesn't always behave as expected. Some of the newer features also make the interface feel a bit cluttered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Adobe Acrobat Makes Document Management Fast and Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

What I like best about Adobe Acrobat is that it simplifies document management. I regularly use it to review, edit, annotate, and share PDFs, and the e-signature and conversion tools save a significant amount of time. It's easy to use and helps keep projects moving efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The main drawback is that it can sometimes be slow when handling large files, and some of the more advanced tools aren't always intuitive to find. Despite this, it's still a very capable and reliable platform for document management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use PDF Editing with Plenty of Options"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I love using this platform to edit, create, and send PDF documents. It’s easily one of the most user-friendly tools I’ve worked with. The number of options included with the Pro version is incredible! It consistently performs above my expectations and always meets my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

Without a license, it’s pretty hard to accomplish much, but once you get a licence, it’s amazing. The price is expensive, but it’s worth it if you use it every day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless PDF Editing, OCR, and Smooth Cloud Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

Editing and organizing PDFs is super easy, from merging files to adding e-signatures. The OCR feature works well too, and it integrates smoothly with cloud storage apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

On older systems, it can feel heavy and slow to launch, and the subscription pricing is on the higher side compared to alternatives. I also found that some of the more advanced features are buried in the menus, which makes them a bit difficult to locate at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Document Workflow with Precision Control"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I frequently use Adobe Acrobat for its PDF editing and commenting features, which provide great precision and control in detailed design and documentation work. Acrobat complements my design process by making it easy to review, refine, and share final outputs after creating content in other Adobe tools like Photoshop and Illustrator. I particularly value Acrobat's capabilities for editing PDFs, adding comments, annotations, organizing pages, and ensuring the document is ready before sharing. These features help keep the review and approval process efficient without having to redo it multiple times. The initial setup was quite easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The learning curve can be quite steep, especially for users with no professional experience with creative software. I would improve this by providing more guided workflows, contextual tutorials, and simpler interfaces for common tasks without reducing the advanced functionality. "Keeps My Filmmaking Workflow Organised with Seamless Stage-to-Stage Tools"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I don’t have any specific feature that stands out as my favorite; it’s simply the option I prefer most overall. I also like that it can be part of a suite rather than an individual purchase. Even though the packages can be costly, as a professional filmmaker I stick with the Adobe Suite because it keeps my workflow organised and makes it easy to move seamlessly from one stage to the next. For me, that means taking documents and shaping them into scripts, then into video illustrations, and ultimately into a film idea. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

expensive for the most part. It can be hard to unsubscribe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful PDF Management Platform With Seamless Collaboration And Integrations."
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

What I like most about Adobe Acrobat is its clean and professional UI/UX, which makes creating, editing, reviewing, and sharing PDF documents very simple for users of all skill levels. The platform also offers strong integrations with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Dropbox, and other business tools, allowing smooth document workflows across teams. In terms of performance, Acrobat handles large files efficiently and provides reliable document processing without major delays. From a pricing/ROI perspective, it delivers good value for businesses that frequently manage contracts, forms, and digital documentation, helping reduce manual paperwork and improve productivity. I also appreciate the excellent support/onboarding, as Adobe provides tutorials, help resources, and customer assistance that make adoption easier for new users. Additionally, the growing use of AI/intelligence features, such as smart document suggestions and automated form handling, enhances the overall user experience and improves workflow efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

They need to do little work on navigation side and also some UX level, other wise rest is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Compare Files + OCR + Redaction: A Powerful Efficiency Boost in Adobe Acrobat Pro"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro. Its most valuable feature for me is the "Compare Files" tool, especially when combined with its advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and redaction capabilities. Ultimately, it acts as a critical efficiency and risk-mitigation engine that protects data integrity and slashes review times under tight deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

My biggest complaints are the steep, inflexible subscription costs (plus punitive cancellation fees) and the heavy software bloat, which leads to lag and crashes when working with large files. I also strongly dislike the confusing interface overhauls and the intrusive pop-up ads that keep pushing newer AI add-ons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
