What is Adobe Acrobat, and what problem is it built to solve?

What languages does Adobe Acrobat support?

What company sizes and industries is Adobe Acrobat the best fit for?

Adobe Acrobat appears across small businesses, mid-market organizations, and enterprises, with positive experiences reported across several industries. The most represented segments include:
  • Company sizes: Small Business, Enterprise, and Mid-Market.
  • Industries: Information Technology and Services, Higher Education, Financial Services, Computer Software, and Accounting.

How long does it take to implement Adobe Acrobat across a team?

What customer support options does Adobe Acrobat provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Support is available through email/help desk, phone, and chat, with 24/7 live-rep support. The experience is mixed: users value the available help and resources, while others describe slow responses or a drawn-out process for resolving account and support issues.

These connections help teams create and access PDFs from existing workflows, share files, and keep reviews and signature tasks moving without as much app switching.

What features or capabilities could make Adobe Acrobat even more useful?

Adobe Acrobat could be more useful with a faster, lighter experience and a more straightforward interface. Users also point to several practical improvements:
  • Improve performance and reduce resource use, especially with large or complex PDFs.
  • Simplify navigation and make common tools easier to find and customize.
  • Offer more flexible, affordable plans for users who need only selected PDF features.
  • Make editing and conversion more consistent, particularly for complex layouts and tables.

How useful do Adobe Acrobat users find its AI features in everyday use?

Adobe Acrobat’s AI tools are most useful when users need to get oriented in long documents, though they still check important details themselves. In everyday use, they help with:
  • Document summaries: Condensing lengthy PDFs into key points for faster review.
  • Document questions and information finding: Asking about a file or locating relevant details without scanning every page.
Some users find these tools helpful and time-saving, while others report inaccurate results or interruptions from prominent AI prompts.

Is Adobe Acrobat considered safe and secure for handling data?

Users describe Adobe Acrobat’s document-protection tools as helpful for handling sensitive files, including password protection, encryption, permissions, and redaction. That can support safer sharing and more controlled access, though redaction results should be checked carefully because users have reported occasional misses or incorrect selections.

"Simple UI with Great Presentation, Cross-Platform Support, and E-Signatures"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I use Adobe Acrobat daily to manage and sign contracts electronically using the Fill & Sign feature, which speeds up client approvals. The interface is clean, allowing me to combine PDFs and edit text quickly without a steep learning curve. Cross-platform syncing also makes it seamless to review and markup documents on mobile while on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The subscription cost is quite high for individual users or small teams compared to alternatives. Additionally, the software can feel resource-heavy on older hardware, occasionally lagging or using significant storage when opening multiple large, image-heavy PDF files. "Reliable PDF tool for daily business documents"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

What I like most about Adobe Acrobat is that I can use it for almost every serious PDF task without thinking too much about the format. I'm usually working with contracts, client files, forms and comments, so it helps that the interface is familiar and the result is predictable. Files open correctly, comments are easy to track, and sharing documents with clients or partners is simple. It also works well with the Adobe account and cloud tools, which is useful when I switch between devices. Performance is not always perfect with large files, but for daily work it is stable enough. The price is not low, but for business documents I still see the value. I also like that Adobe is adding more smart features, because searching, summarizing or checking long documents can save real time.es. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The main downside for me is that Acrobat can feel heavy for simple tasks. I sometimes open a PDF just to make a quick edit, combine pages or add a comment, and the app takes more time and attention than I expect. Some tools are also hidden deeper in the menu than they should be, so the UI can feel crowded even for someone who already knows the product. With large files, performance can slow down a bit. I also think the price is high for users who only need PDF work from time to time. The smart features are useful, but I would like them to feel more natural inside the normal document workflow, not like a separate layer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful PDF Editing Made Easy"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I like the powerful PDF editing capabilities. It makes it incredibly easy to modify text, swap out images, and reorganize pages without needing the original source file.I highly value Adobe Acrobat for its powerful PDF editing capabilities, which let me seamlessly modify text, swap out images, and reorganize pages without needing the original source files. The intuitive UI/UX makes advanced layout changes straightforward, while its snappy performance ensures that even massive documents load and edit without lag.In terms of integrations, it syncs flawlessly with our cloud storage and office apps, streamlining our entire team's workflow. This efficiency provides an excellent pricing ROI, saving us hours of manual formatting each week. Additionally, the onboarding process was incredibly smooth, and the built-in AI intelligence features have been a fantastic unexpected benefit for quickly summarizing long reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The high subscription cost is the biggest issue, especially since basic features like merging PDFs or converting files are locked behind a paywall. Additionally, the software feels heavy, takes a long time to load, and the interface is constantly changing, making it frustrating to find common tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI Summaries, Fill & Sign, and PDF Comparison That Make Work Easier"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

For me, the best feature is the AI assistance, which helps me understand a big document by providing a summary. Fill and Sign are also the most important tools I use. Additionally, one of the most important features for me is comparing PDFs: if I have two versions, it helps me compare both and see what changed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The main pain point for me is that it tends to lag when working with large PDF documents, and it also includes a lot of features that we simply don’t end up using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stress-Free PDF Editing with Easy Conversion and Powerful Signatures"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

Editing PDFs with Adobe Acrobat is stress-free. File conversion is easy, and the signature features are especially useful and effective. Reviewing and commenting are very easy to access in any file with Adobe Acrobat. The permission features are also great for maintaining privacy in documents. Multiple tools like zooming in and editing are very useful as well. It’s easy to integrate with any software, and even when there are more than 500 pages, Adobe’s performance never drops. The bar is always high. The new AI features in Acrobat are also much better and feel simplified for regular use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

The Pro version is expensive, and sometimes the UI feels a bit tricky to use. Aside from that, I don’t really see any other negatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Document Handling, Minor Text Editing Hurdles"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Acrobat?

I use Adobe Acrobat a lot for my college work, and the e-signature feature is definitely the best thing about it. It's smooth and I only have to do it once for the same type of format, which is super convenient. I also enjoy the text highlighting feature, it works really well for me. The initial setup was quick and really easy, even a kid could do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Acrobat?

Some important services in Adobe Acrobat are paid, which can be a downside if you're on a tight budget. I used to have a free student subscription, but I don't anymore. Also, the text selection and copy-paste functionality could be improved as the accuracy is poor and it can be slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
