The training that is provided is excellent too. I've really enjoyed the AI tool as well as the narration tool. I also like the knoweldge check options. The customer service support we've recived...fabulous. The team at Absorb has been with us every step of the way making implementation steamless. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** I can't really think of something I dislike other than when CREATING training in the system, you have to be careful by not creating confusing with the word "create" and the software "Create." That was very confusing with our onboarding. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We continue to add trainers to our operational units to develop and lead training. The Absorb LMS will, and already has to a certain extent, reduce the need of headcount. In addition, the LMS ensures that we have consistency in our training. This has been very helpful because we are in a union environment. We can use the training in the LMS to demonstrate the qualtiy of training as well as document the training occured. We have also integrated our compliance training into Absorb. By doing so, we have reduced the amount of manual entry and management of our compliance training program. It gives us the option to tailor or training offering to each of partners or members of staff individually. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** We know that a couple of our small issues with Absorb LMS are as a result of our particular and niche use case, and therefore would not necessarily be deemed worthy of development time to implement. However, some of these issues have been noted in the upcoming updates. It would be great to see an effective and easy way of implementing iFrames, as well as having our logo show in the favicon for any documents opened through the LMS itself, rather than the Absorb logo. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Absorb LMS is helping is to more easily, effectively and effeciently onboard our partners, as well as go back and provide further or simply just touch up training to current partners. It also offers us the option to have a near all in one interface for our partners needs, specifically to access certain resources. I love how easy it is to use. Having all the data in one platform is really convenient. Assessments are completed online and automatically corrected, eliminating the need for printing and instructor assessing manually. Instructors have a live view of enrollments and can track progress easily. The automated messages and notifications. Sessions can be added to Outlook calendar. Portal customisation of branding etc. The ongoing patience and support and assistance from Brittney, Raymond and Jerome. Quick and prompt reply from support team. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** The inability to add more data to the dashboard widgets and not being able to add more than 10 widgets. When using enrolment keys, inability to make the learner inactive until approved. Communication breakdown when we first signed up, we were not made aware of the different packages and add-onsr and were not advised or shown what was included in our package. As well, the ability to save, pin, share and schedule a report is helpful Add-ons such as the Absorb Engage is useful for communicating with users - particularly the news articles tool. There's also a clear distinction between the different experiences (i.e., learner experience, admin experience and manager experience) **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** The following are features of Absorb LMS that could be improved: - placing data in either historical or active causes prolonged data clean up processes and confusion with migration of historical data - course and curriculum settings need to be set before enrollment so that the settings can be applied to the users being enrolled and settings are unfortunately not applied to previous users who were enrolled before settings were changed - We encountered various challenges with our Absorb Implementation Manager, which caused delays and errors in setting up our LMS; for example, the training provided to us did not align with requirements we presented. The experience we had during implementation is still being felt post-launch as we continue to fix data inconsistencies, setting up curriculum and courses (e.g., post-course settings), etc. - we have to assign individual departments and job codes to a course for automatic enrollment instead of having the ability to group departments and job codes for more efficient way to assign - we have a few recurring courses (e.g., courses that need to be taken every year, every 2 years, etc.) which was difficult to set up within a curriculum since we cannot set up a curriculum with courses that have different recurrence and have it applied to both previous and new users being enrolled in the curriculum. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Issues currently being solved right now with our CSM are ones that occurred based on our implementation experience. ### 19. I can run a basic report easily in the back end. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** The system does not work as how we understood it to work with regard to curriculums and individual modules as well as the group struture. Reporting has not worked well. Sorting in the Training History is very challenging when a learner has been around for a long time, making it hard to find information. There should be a search field above the course list. Implementation in Nov 2023 did not go well with our implementation manager (she was aggressive, non-listener, and in the end taught us how to setup items incorrectly, to which we are still trying to fix 6 months later). NOTE: our current CSM (Stephen C.) has been fantastic, given the situaton he came in to. Our client representative, Joel Hart, is always available, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. It seems to me that Joel and Absorb are just as committed to our success as we are. We view Absorb as a partner and a tool for enhancing compliance, fostering the growth of our teams, and providing an innovative platform that fosters personal development. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** The reporting system needs to be modified to better align with our business needs. We encountered some hiccups with the ADP Connector during implementation, which delayed our rollout. Content management is easy and flexible. The implementation process and support team are responsive and knowledgeable. Onboarding was an excellent experience! **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** As with many content management systems, it takes some getting used to. There are nuances that are not easily observed. Training is absolutely required. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Absorb allows us to serve the same learning content to internal and external users, at separate subdomains, each with a tailored user interface. We can quickly create content using their tools or import legacy slide decks or videos, saving valuable time. We were up and running quickly with the support of our implementation manager, Christelle, who correctly configured our system and answered our questions quickly and accurately with supporting documentation for our later reference. We initially found the interface a little daunting, so training and good documentation were required, as with many new tools. The learner experience is easy to use and can be customized with resources and FAQs at the course and global levels. Setting up points, leaderboards, and competency badges to motivate learners through gamification is easy. ### 27. The customer support is incredibly responsive and never leaves us hanging. I appreciate that they constantly update the platform to add new features. We also find the Ideas Portal valuable as they genuinely consider user feedback. Our Customer Success Managers, Tamar and Ashley before her, have been extremely nice and supportive. Additionally, the dashboards for department heads are fantastic, allowing them to quickly see the status of course completions. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** There are a few differences compared to our old LMS, which required us to adjust our processes. For instance, we might need to purchase a few custom reports because the ones we need aren't available out of the box. Additionally, while Absorb claims to accept any SCORM courses, we had to reconfigure some of ours to adjust the resolution and use questions within Absorb instead of within the course. This wasn't a huge issue, but it was time-consuming due to the length of the courses. However, now that they're adjusted, they work great. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are moving to a new ERP (Ceredian) and we have been told that there is an integration with Absorb. We are looking forward to that. Also, using it as a document signing tool, to have our staff sign off on policy updates, allows us to eliminate our custom built tool we made just for that. ### 28. She also was able to cater the process to our specific needs, while making sure we had the necessary info in case there were changes down the road. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** I think there is an opportunity for more design choices for the Learner Portal. It might also be helpful to have the option to hover over some of the portal settings to explain what they are rather than reviewing the notes. The only thing I can think of is when searching users, you must input three character to initiate a search, but with users who have names less than three characters that can become an annoyance. When we first trialed Absorb LMS, I knew within 10 minutes that I would not find a better interface. Advantages include being able to adjust tablular report criteria on the same page without having to first load the report in a new browser tab. The interface is also very responsive. Changes to enrollment criteria are displayed in real time incuding the total number of enrollments, the number of existing enrollments and the number of new enrollments. Customer support has been excellent and our implentation was completed in a fraction of the time necessary for our previous LMS. We required an additional implementation when we launched a Document Management System. That was a large project and was completed on time. I appreciate how the Anaylze BI tool is integrated with the main admin interface and does not require any third party tools or a specific operating system as my work computer is a Mac. While it is not designed to be mobile-friendly, the admin interace is usable on a phone, which has allowed to provide a quick response if I am away from a computer. Even with the Analyze add-on our total cost was lower than our previous LMS with the added benefit of having dramatically more features. The various user tiers that Absorb offers are very business-friendly and do not have any hidden fees. Absorb has added many significant new features in the short time we have been a customer. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** Some of the tablular reports do have limitations. Those limitations are not present in the Analyze BI tool, but that is a very expensive add-on. Not being able to schedule enrollments to occur on a specific date is a drawback. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to provide clear learning paths by utilizing the post enrollments feature. Our previous LMS could only display curriculum contents in a single list with no indication if courses had to be completed in a specific order, for example. We were also able to develop an extensive forklift training and certification process. ### 45.
