What is the experience like for teams switching to Absorb LMS from another tool?

Switching to Absorb LMS has often meant moving from a limited or cumbersome system to a more flexible platform for training delivery, automation, and learner tracking. Teams moving from established enterprise systems such as Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, and Oracle/Taleo, as well as platforms like Moodle, TalentLMS, and LearnUpon, describe wanting a cleaner learner experience, stronger reporting, or more capable course and enrollment management. The transition can be smooth with implementation guidance, although complex configurations and data preparation may take substantial effort.

  • Meetings and collaboration: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Outlook.
  • CRM and business platforms: Salesforce and HubSpot.

These connections can bring employee information into the LMS, make live sessions easier to coordinate, and give learners access to training alongside other work systems. Setup is not always plug-and-play; some integrations need configuration or troubleshooting.

What features or capabilities could make Absorb LMS even more useful?

Absorb LMS could be more useful with smoother reporting and more flexible administrative workflows. Recurring improvement areas include:
  • Reporting and dashboards: Make custom, cross-course, and department-level reporting easier to build and tailor.

  • Automation and rules: Make enrollment, scheduling, and audience-mapping rules more intuitive and adaptable.
  • Course creation and assessments: Add more interactive authoring options and give teams greater flexibility with quizzes and grading.

How useful do Absorb LMS users find its AI features in everyday use?

AI is most useful when it helps teams get a first draft of training materials or assessments in place, but the generated output can still require editing. Users describe these everyday applications:
  • Course drafting: Creating outlines, lesson foundations, and draft training from source material.
  • Assessment creation: Generating quiz and exam questions to reduce preparation time.
  • Voice and audio: Producing voiceovers from scripts for learning content.
  • In-product assistance: Getting help finding features or working through reporting and administrative tasks.
Experiences vary: some teams find these tools save time, while others say the results need refinement or do not yet meet their content or branding needs.

"Great Full Featured Learning Management Package with Excellent Flexibility & Expandability"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

The environment provided to load my courses is flexible, while having a great base structure with lots of default features. With the Mercury module, we are able to create a look at feel that is unique for different client types. As mentioned below - I love the ability to categorize the courses into curriculums, groupings, and departments all while being able to customize the rules and management of each. This helps with managing users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

So far, we have not any issues with using or administering the LMS. I encountered some mislabeled image sizes when setting up or custom billboards which caused me to have to figure out the actual size. Otherwise our images looked stretched. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absorb LMS: Intuitive UX and Effortless Course Creation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Absorb is truly one of the most intuitive, easy to learn LMS platforms that I have used. The user experience design makes sense, navigating the learner dashboard is simple yet effective and creating courses has never been easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

I will say a lot of my initial gripes have been addressed over the three years we have been using Absorb. I did feel that the layout of their courses was pretty limited but they have addressed that with their block page feature and branching to create some more engaging content.

I also felt like there was a drop off in customer support from the initial sales/onboarding team to who ended up being our account team. It felt like, 'welp, we made the sale, so we don't care as much.' However, we had a team switch up about a year ago and have been very happy. So not sure if it's luck of the draw, but in my case, we are happy with the support we are receiving now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Multi-Brand LMS with Smooth SCORM/xAPI Uploads"
4/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Previous Response: What I like best about Absorb is how well it handles a multi-brand setup. We run four brands under one company, and being able to give learners access to separate branded portals from a single platform is a big deal for us. It lets each brand keep its own look and course catalogue without us having to manage completely separate systems. Content upload is also straightforward. We author in Articulate Rise and Storyline and publish as SCORM or xAPI, and packages generally import and track without much fuss. That flexibility has let us do more custom things too, like a multi-language launcher that lets learners pick their language before starting a course. On the admin side, setting up enrollments for mandatory training is simple, which makes company-wide rollouts (like compliance or onboarding courses for all European employees) manageable for a small L&D team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

Previous Response: The biggest limitation for us is the package size cap. We produce multilingual product training (up to nine languages in one course), and fitting everything under the 2GB limit means spending a lot of time compressing and re-encoding videos rather than improving the content itself. For companies with video-heavy or multi-language courses, this becomes a real bottleneck. Working with custom xAPI setups can also take some trial and error. When we built our own language-selector launcher, we ended up validating it in SCORM Cloud first to make sure the behaviour was right before relying on Absorb, because troubleshooting directly in the LMS wasn't always transparent. Finally, for a mid-sized organisation, the cost and the level of control can feel out of balance. We'd like more freedom to customise the learner experience and integrate with our own portals. "Intuitive and Efficient for Knowledge Sharing"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

I really like how intuitive and easy to navigate Absorb LMS is. It helps us track employees' interest in upskilling and identify other requirements. The platform makes content creation and uploading straightforward, allowing me to assign it to specific groups or locations, which is very convenient. As a system admin, I appreciate how the step-by-step setup guides make content accessible quickly, reducing the need for manual configuration and minimizing technical issues. The reporting feature is also well-done, particularly when I know exactly what to click. Even though complex reports might require support, the quick response from our Client Success Manager makes it more manageable for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

Overall, my experience with Absorb LMS has been mostly positive, but I do find the reporting side a bit challenging. While the reporting tools are generally well done, navigating them can be tricky when I need to build more complex reports. I often end up reaching out to our Client Success Manager for guidance, although he’s always quick to respond and helpful. It would be great to have something like a “decision tree” or guided path that helps me choose the right options on my own. Aside from that, the system performs smoothly and I haven’t experienced any delays or issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Experience"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

The product has a great UI feel, its intuitive and our adoption rate with users was really good. The implementation was really smooth and the Absorb team was incredibly helpful and patient as we navigated the process. The best part has been post-implementation support, which is really lacking in the LMS industry. Our support team is fantastic. You have regular meetings with smart, system experienced ppl who listen and guide you through any issues. They are constantly trying to help and find ways for you to maximize your usage of the system. A big shout out to Greg Law and Emma Scott @ Absorb for being such great partners. Cant say enough good things about them! Definitely recommend this company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

With any application, there are a few things you would like to be different, but there is nothing that warrants a dislike. Its very friendly for both the user and the admin so whats to dislike? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Highly Customizable LMS with Great Support from CSM & Help Desk Team"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

What I like most about Absorb is its flexibility and outstanding customer support. We recently went live with Absorb, and as someone new to learning management systems, I was designated the LMS admin. Our CSM, Ionus, was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and proactive in addressing any issues that came up. Regarding the software itself, I appreciate how customizable it is. Flexibility is important for us, especially for a global organization like ours with very specific needs. The ability to create custom courses, tailor learning content, and configure the LMS to meet our unique requirements has been invaluable in helping us achieve our objectives more efficiently. The support team is also fantastic—they always respond promptly with detailed solutions, including screenshots, screen recordings, and thorough explanations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

While the customization is amazing, it can be a double-edged sword. There’s a steep learning curve in understanding how everything in the system works together. Although the help articles are detailed and explain the features well, they often don't go beyond basic descriptions, leaving gaps when trying to understand more complex features. Additionally, with so many help articles available, the search functionality on their website can be frustrating—I often struggle to find the specific article I need, which becomes time-consuming and leads me to contact support directly. If I could improve one thing, it would be the search functionality for their help resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A genuinely impressive LMS that's delivered on everything we shortlisted it for"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Absorb has delivered on every requirement we shortlisted it for. Multitenancy was essential for us, we needed separate branches so each of our clients can manage everything centrally, and Absorb handles this really well. Just as important, our customers can administer their own users, assign courses, and run their own reports, which takes a huge amount of admin off our plate.

Reporting in particular has been a standout. Our customers can see exactly what their users are and aren't doing in the system, and on our side we can monitor engagement both during onboarding and once customers are live, which is invaluable when a customer seems to be struggling and we need to check whether their people are actually engaging with the learning.

On the course-building side, Absorb lets us create genuinely interactive courses rather than passive "click next" content, with quizzes to test knowledge retention. We've also been able to bring in gamification through certificates and badges, and build proper learning paths/journeys rather than one-off courses. Automation has been a big win too — automated emails, automated reporting, and the ability to build our own custom reports without relying on Absorb support. The API integration with our own customer database has made onboarding new clients much smoother, since we're not manually setting people up.

I've now created a number of courses myself and have found it genuinely easy to do. So far I've only used the AI features for generating quiz questions, which has already saved me a good amount of time, and I'm planning to use the AI course builder to develop some soft skills courses soon, everything I've built so far has been technical content, so that'll be a good test of it. Pricing is also worth calling out: it's very competitive given the breadth of features on offer.

On top of the product itself, the sales and onboarding process was faultless. Everyone we worked with, from sales through implementation, has been excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

Honestly, we've struggled to find anything major to fault. If anything, the platform is so feature-rich that there's a bit of a learning curve at first while you explore everything it can do, but the onboarding support and Absorb Academy has made that easy to work through. "Absorb Makes Mobile Frontline Training and Automated Compliance Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Absorb holds up for a workforce that is not sitting at a desk. Most of our people are frontline, spread across the country, and getting to training on a phone between shifts. Absorb handles that without us having to build workarounds. The admin side is the other piece. Enrollment rules and automations mean we are not hand-assigning courses every time someone is hired or promoted, and the reporting gets us what we need for compliance without exporting everything into a spreadsheet first. The client success support has been a real differentiator too. Our CSM knows our business and flags things before we ask. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

If I could change one thing, it would be a simplified administrative experience. The power is there, but common tasks take more clicks than they should and the menus take a while to learn. Once an admin is fluent it moves quickly, so it's really a matter of the front end of that curve being steeper than necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use, Highly Customizable, and Highly Supported Implementation Process"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

It’s easy to use for learners, and I like that you can customize templates, dashboards, and more, including adding your own logo. Reporting is straightforward, which makes it simple to keep track of what’s important to you. The AI assist is also very helpful, especially when you’re new to the system as an admin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

So far, my biggest annoyance is that I have to upload global resources one at a time, rather than being able to upload them in bulk. This is an inconvenience, but definitely not a deal breaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
