Ran a company town hall with an anonymous Q&A open to a few hundred people, and somebody submitted something pretty personal and out of line aimed at a specific exec. Because moderation was turned on, I saw it in the queue before it ever showed up publicly and just didn't approve it. Nobody in that room ever knew it existed. We run monthly all-hands and the same three people always asked questions while everyone else just sat there, not because they didn't have anything to ask, just didn't want to be the one raising a hand in front of two hundred coworkers. Turned on anonymous Q&A and suddenly questions started pouring in from people who never spoke up before, upvoting let the most relevant ones bubble to the top instead of our exec just picking whichever hand went up first. Also started using the PowerPoint add-on directly, polls just appear as regular slides now instead of alt-tabbing to a separate browser tab mid-presentation. Free and easy. For users who just want a couple of enhancements to their presentations, Slido is top notch! Sign up for free, basic use for free, use as often as needed for free. They have great self-help videos to get you going and make sure it all works perfectly. It plugged into a PowerPoint presentation seamlessly and worked perfectly during the presentation. It is great for in presentation polls, Q&A or WordClouds to monitor and generate thoughts. They send you a pleasant e-mail reminder to check and make sure things are ready to go a couple of days before your event if you prepared in advance. Great support without even asking. Compliance training is genuinely boring to sit through and I could tell people were just clicking through slides without absorbing much. Built a quiz into the training using Slido instead of a slide at the end, live questions with a leaderboard showing up on screen as people answered. Suddenly there was actual competitiveness in the room, people paying attention because they didn't want to be last on the board. Slido makes amazingly easy for me to share educational content with my students offering all means of interaction, all to turn any meeting very illuminating. You can share your content, ask students easily with make-for-you questions of all types, you can share data, rates; you can even test them on the spot through the facility of quizzes. Briefly, its dashboard is user-friendly as any beginner will be able to use, its intuitive functions and facilities, and above all, these features are affordable at less than 15 USD per month, which is totally less expensive than its rivals.

For the things I did not like, let me say that Slido did not offer a lot of features for free plans. Its Professional Plan is too expensive. One moe thing, the integrations. It’s a great way to incorporate an icebreaker into a meeting or training session. It’s interactive and very seamless to join and participate in. Once it’s set up, every participant can join simply by scanning a QR code; it works quickly and doesn’t require much technical ability. It also pairs well with PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Microsoft Teams. The standout feature for me is the real-time visual metrics you can see live as people join and cast their votes or answers. The pricing plans are a bit on the higher side if you only intend to use it periodically. The Basic Plan does offer some flexibility for customization, but if you’re concerned about maintaining your own company branding, it can feel a bit limiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The live polls and Q & A features are very useful because they give employees a simple way to share questions without interrupting the discussion. A great, easy-to-use product for mass group voting. Our voting platform crashed during a voting event, so I found Slido, set up an account, and had our leadership meeting voting up and running again within about 30–45 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Slido is effective but can improve by enhancing customization, expanding integrations, and offering better analytics. Adding offline functionality, improving the mobile experience, and including gamification would increase participation.
