**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin A. | Director of Operations & Logistics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2024

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

Reporting options and ability to save/automate reports are helpful, but some of the functionality options are not intuitive or lack the options our company requires

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

Poor communication between ecomm & fulfillment - one was not aware we were customers of the other/both

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer data storage, utilization, order management, club processing etc.

  ### 3. Great Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

Wine Direct allows users to manage tasting room POS and wine club as well as inventory easily. The program also creates excellent financial and managerial reports. Shipping is integrated and tracking numbers are automatically imported into the software. Sales associates are available to meet to demo the product and support is available to help anytime.

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

Financial reports could have more customization options.

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wine club management and data validation with accounting.

**Official Response from Marketing Team:**

> Thank you for your review Jennie! We truly value your positive comments. Stay tuned for upcoming enhancements to our Financial Reports! -Kari

  ### 5. Best fulfillment company I've worked with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2019

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

Integration with my POS is a snap. The fulfillment web portal is very intuitive and easy to use. But it's mostly the fulfillment team that makes Wine Direct the best fulfillment company I've worked with. They are accurate, detail-oriented and truly go the extra mile to ensure my shipments get to my customers in a timely fashion and in good condition. I feel like they really care about my business.

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

The only thing I don't like about Wine Direct is the fact that I get multiple email invoices from them every month, sometimes every week. It would be much easier if I got one or two monthly invoices.

**Recommendations to others considering WineDirect:**

The integration between the POS and fulfillment will save you HOURS of time each week. The customer service team is amazing. Do it.

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With their cool packs, I can ship during the summer months which has really helped my cash flow.

  ### 6. Averill House Vineyard loves the Wine Direct Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bob W. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2019

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

We truly feel that a whole team is helping us plan and present our product in the best light possible. From the beginning the advice and help has been great for a small team like us all while running an existing system and a startup winery. We searched for six months, reviewing two dozen systems both Spirit/food orientated as well as other industries. Kathleen Henry was instrumental in answering our questions and giving us room to breath, with out her honesty and guidance we would not have chosen Wine Direct. Monica Smith has coached us, proded us, given a lot of love and time, put up with our questionable internet service and we are enormously thankful.

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

I do not like the inability for the system to tie in with PayPal. It would be way easier for us. Also the current financial system POS does not have a current chip reader which really scares us.

**Recommendations to others considering WineDirect:**

Jump in, start with this day one! It will save you time and money.

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating a CMS, POS, Store, and website all in one. The only item that will still be somewhat disjointed will be our payment solution. We are excited to be able to host events and payment on our own site and look forward to a single source advertising stream.

  ### 7. Wine Direct ok but not great

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2019

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

The database is extensive and can typically find what you are looing for

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

the navigation is not very intuitive and doesn't match the features of competitor apps

**Recommendations to others considering WineDirect:**

Take your time in evaluating what your purpose for this really is and then review the competition for the best fit. This may - or may not be the best for your specific purpose.

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've tried using this for cellar management as well as for providing recommendations to friends, colleagues, etc.

  ### 8. useful wine ecommerce platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2018

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

Simple and useful CMS for presenting products and other content. Logical, tab-based flow for processing phone orders. Good basic CRM for customer contact info and order history, with remarketing email features. Good reporting features for sales

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

As the platform (now WineDirect) has rightfully chosen to focus on the essentials during its rapid expansion of users, some bits are still rough around the edges - an image upload window pops up in a default size that doesn't show all navigation buttons; the home dashboard shows that you have x products with end dates that have passed but doesn't allow you to view a list of those products; you can't quickly clone products. Remarketing emails are simple to format but not especially flexible. No deep flaws, but little drags on workflow.

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Selling wines and event tickets direct to consumer, presenting product and event info, analyzing sales, remarketing to previous customers. The platform is more mobile friendly than our previous bespoke site, and it integrates with our wine compliance checker ShipCompliant.

  ### 9. Could Be More Intuitive

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catherine P. | Tasting Room Associate, Wine and Spirits, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2017

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

Pros to this platform include photo navigation as well as the ability to have multiple "stores" in the drop down at the top, e.g. products are grouped by the glass, bottle, our in-store retail area, misc, etc. The photo navigation is helpful if you are a visual person.

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

I don't find Vin65 intuitive if you are coming from a bar/restaurant background. It is overly difficult to split tenders. There are things like updating cc info that require us to go into the back end (particularly when it comes to club memberships). A very irritating and recurring issue is the inability to discount one item if the same product is on an order more than once e.g. if a person orders three of the same bottle and they are only supposed to get a discount on one you have to manually adjust the price because it automatically lumps all three together.

**Recommendations to others considering WineDirect:**

Generally easy to use, just make sure that it has the ability to meet the specific needs of your business

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Navigation is makes processing orders easy (if it's a straightforward transaction)
Customer experience is smooth (prompts on screen are not generally confusing to customers and are quick)

  ### 10. Comprehensive but clunky

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2018

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

The ability to track all aspects of wine club history and order delivery or pick-up.

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

The interface is clunky and it takes too many clicks to accomplish a simple task.

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wine club pick up. Easy to have multiple staff members trained to process on-site pick ups.

  ### 11. So much potential, falls so short

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wine and Spirits | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2017

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

It is wine specific, so it helps us with shipping rules and has fields set up ready to fill for vintages and reviews

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

So many glitches, quirks, downright failures.
And after all of the time and energy we've spent on this, it feels like we're hostages. We have to find a workaround, daily, for new problems, so we don't have to start from scratch.

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On line shipping and various locations can all be sold through the same system

  ### 12. It does the job

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2017

**What do you like best about WineDirect?**

The functions align neatly with the requirements of the business.

**What do you dislike about WineDirect?**

Dated interface. I've worked with more innovative platforms.

**What problems is WineDirect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed a wine business related CRM. It does the job. Could be more robust.
