## Opal Reviews
 ### 1. Effortless Collaboration with Shareable Boards and Auto-Updating Content

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucia W. | Email Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

What I like most about Opal is the ability to create boards that can be shared with others. I especially appreciate that when I update content on my board, any linked or reused content on other boards is updated automatically as well. This makes collaboration much easier and helps keep information consistent.

I also really like the visualizations, as they make it easier to understand and navigate complex information.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

One thing I dislike about Opal is that duplicating content often requires a lot of manual copying and pasting, which can be time-consuming.
I would also like more flexibility when it comes to adding custom fields, as the current options feel somewhat limited for organizing information the way I want.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps solve the challenge of collaboration and information visibility across teams. By providing a shared and connected workspace, it makes it easier for everyone to access up-to-date information and stay aligned. This benefits me by improving collaboration, reducing information silos, and giving better visibility into what other teams are working on.

 ### 2. Great Tool for Creative Organization & Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria N. | Paid Social Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

We use Opal heavily for creative asset trafficking and cross-team collaboration, and it’s become a really helpful organizational tool for our workflow. One of the biggest benefits is the ability to build out campaign moments clearly by platform, which makes review processes much faster and easier for both internal teams and clients.

I also appreciate how simple it is to download assets and quickly reference associated copy, URLs, and other trafficking details all in one place. The collaboration tools are another strong point — the side chat/commenting feature makes it easy to communicate directly within the workflow, and having a historical chat log is extremely useful for tracking decisions and feedback.

Another feature I’ve found especially valuable is the edit/history tracking. Being able to see what changes were made and backtrack when needed adds a strong layer of transparency and helps prevent workflow issues. Overall, Opal has been a very useful tool for keeping campaign management and creative coordination organized across teams.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Sometimes the loading can be slow or sometimes the bulk download feature takes a second but it's not a deal breaker for me! Still incredibly efficient.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps solve a lot of the organizational and communication challenges that come with managing high volumes of creative assets across multiple campaigns and platforms. Instead of tracking feedback, links, copy, and asset versions across separate documents or email threads, everything lives in one centralized place.

This has made creative reviews, trafficking, and collaboration much more streamlined for our team. It reduces confusion around the latest versions of assets, improves visibility into edits and approvals, and makes it easier to quickly pull the information needed to launch campaigns accurately and efficiently. The platform also helps create stronger alignment across teams by giving everyone a clear view into campaign timelines, platform-specific assets, and communication history.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for the detailed review and for sharing how Opal supports your campaign management and cross-team collaboration. This is what we built Opal for!. Your note about occasional slow loading and bulk downloads taking a bit longer is appreciated, and we’re happy to hear Opal is still making high-volume creative coordination much more efficient overall.

 ### 3. Organized, Comprehensive Platform with a Great UI and Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I have used other products similar to Opal and nothing is more organized or comprehensive than this platform. The UI is especially favorable from our team. The system never glitches or has any period of time when we can't access it. Personally I especially like the Opal Boards! This is such an easy and straightforward way for me to track all of my creative calendar needs all in one place.

Integrations are seemless, the pricing model is great for what your company is actually getting, and it comes with all of the onboarding and continued support you will need while working through the system.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

There is nothing I dislike about Opal! All of the features I have tried work perfectly.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal solves the problem of staying organized through cross-functional teams, especially those spread throughout the country. We are not all in the same boardrooms or offices, able to share creative calendars in person, physically, and Opal does this for us. Opal removes the issues of using cloud-sharing docs that certain companies might not all have access to. Opal is a one-stop shop.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for the wonderful review and for sharing how Opal has become a one-stop shop for creative calendars across distributed, teams. It’s especially meaningful to know that Opal helps replace scattered cloud-sharing docs with a centralized, accessible workspace where teams can stay aligned no matter where they are. This is one of our biggest goals for the platform!

 ### 4. Empowers Social Strategy with Collaborative Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachele C. | Social Media & Influencer Marketing - Timberland EMEA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like the live calendar because it's always the latest version, making sure social content is up-to-date. The feedback and approval tools are great as they allow me to do social content validation without needing different apps or streams. I also appreciate how Opal lets us filter the calendar within different teams but remain on the same platform, enabling me to view what my colleagues overseas are planning in their regions and vice versa.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Sometimes the images/videos in the calendar are slow to load. Once I create a presentation, I cannot edit it if I forgot to add a view or a filter; I have to create a new one from scratch. Also, sometimes users have trouble with the presentations I share, like assets being slow to load or the presentation having bugs. It would be useful if they were able to report any issues directly to Opal.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Opal for planning, feedback on social content, and scheduling through Sprinklr. It lets multiple users edit live, shares calendars across regions, and offers feedback tools, making validation simple. I can see colleagues' plans globally, improving coordination.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Great to hear you're getting value from the calendar and Sprinklr integration. Thank you again for taking the time to share how Opal supports your global planning efforts!

 ### 5. Opal Streamlines Our LinkedIn Content Planning and Team Alignment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Overall its been a solid addition to our social content workflow, having a dedicated space where different marketing and social teams can align on content without things getting lost in threads. We have been using Opal for almost a year now, primarily for planning and creating LinkedIn content. The UI is clean and visually intuitive once you're in it. LinkedIn connectivity is core and it works reliably. Onboarding was the toughest part, the learning curve was slower than expected and knowing how to navigate. I don't know about pricing, but I think the value is there, given the efficiency once everything is set up. I don't notice the AI features.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The onboarding experience is the biggest friction point; it took longer than expected to get the team fully comfortable - a couple of working/engagement sessions to get it right. The AI features aren't noticeable and feel like they're still finding their footing. Maybe as they get more refined and apparent, the team will start utilizing more.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem Opal solves for us is coordination overhead between campaign management and the social team. Before it was fragmented, which meant version confusion and manual chasing. Opal gives us a single place where content gets planned, reviewed and signed off. Anyone on the team can see what's been planned, reviewed, and signed off. This reduces a surprising amount of low-value back and forth.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Appreciate you for sharing how Opal has become a reliable space for LinkedIn content planning, review, and team alignment! We’re glad to hear it’s helping reduce version confusion, manual follow-ups, and fragmented conversations by giving your campaign and social teams one place to coordinate. Thank you for using Opal and for the standout review!

 ### 6. Opal Makes Task Management Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisset B. | Head of Cloud & Customer Marketing LoB, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Opal is very organized, intuitive, and incredibly easy to use for managing tasks efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Honestly, I like almost everything about Opal so far. The only thing I would improve is simplifying some processes, since at times there are too many steps. It would also be great if it had direct integrations with platforms like EveryoneSocial and LinkedIn so publication links could appear automatically. Overall, I think it’s a very solid and well-organized tool.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that Opal allows me to interact with multiple teams globally and helps us stay coordinated and aligned across different regions and projects.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for the wonderful review and for sharing how Opal helps you manage tasks, coordinate with global teams, and stay aligned across regions and projects. We’re glad the platform feels organized, intuitive, and easy to use for keeping work moving efficiently! This is exactly what we are going for!

 ### 7. Outstanding Calendar Feature Enhances Productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia S. | Marketing Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I really like the calendar feature, that is really well laid out in a way that is very clear. I like that you can put in placeholders before picking out the content as I enjoy planning content ahead without inputing the actual content. I also feel like there are lots of places to add notes and extra info where needed. Just very easy to use in general, nothing seems too complicated.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The calendar feature for searching feels a bit clunky, not sure how it could be improved but when I am searching using the post title, it seems a bit difficult to find as they just kind of highlight in the calendar when it was posted.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me with planning when content goes out and allowing the lady that schedules the content to go out to easily view what content I want her to put out. So it's nice that lots of people can collaborate

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Opal! I’m glad to hear how much value you’re getting from the calendar and how it helps you plan ahead and collaborate more easily across your team. I also appreciate you highlighting the search experience — feedback like this is incredibly helpful as we continue to refine the platform. Thank you again for taking the time to share how Opal is supporting your workflow!

 ### 8. Intuitive UI and Smooth Content Planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like the UI and interface of Opal and how it helps me plan posts on certain days with a clear layout. I am able to see all the posts and lay them out ahead of time efficiently. The platform also makes coordinating with other teams cross-functionally easier, so everyone has visibility. Additionally, the initial setup is very easy, which adds to my positive experience. Overall, I love the platform.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I wish there was a way to choose audio and put it into each post, especially if it's in the commercial music library.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Opal for content planning on social media, helping coordinate with teams cross-functionally for visibility.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for the great review and for sharing how Opal helps you plan social posts with a clear layout and strong cross-functional visibility. We’re happy to hear the UI, easy setup, and ability to organize posts ahead of time have made content planning smoother for your team. Your suggestion around being able to choose and add audio, especially from a commercial music library, is helpful feedback as we continue refining the planning experience.

 ### 9. Opal Brings Clarity and Collaboration to Complex Marketing Plans

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

What I like most about Opal is how clearly and intuitively it brings our entire marketing landscape together. The platform turns complex, multi-channel plans into a single, visual source of truth that everyone can understand at a glance. The calendar and Board views make it incredibly easy to see how campaigns connect, avoid overlaps, and align content across teams.

I also appreciate the workflow clarity — approvals, collaboration, and content previews all live in one environment, which reduces back-and-forth and speeds up execution. The true-to-life preview feature is especially helpful because it allows us to see exactly how content will appear on each channel before publishing.

Overall, Opal makes planning feel organized, transparent, and genuinely collaborative. It removes the chaos from marketing operations and replaces it with structure and shared visibility.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

My only real challenge with Opal is that the platform can feel a bit heavy when first onboarding new users. Because it’s so feature-rich, it takes some time for everyone to fully understand what lives where and how the workflows connect. Once the learning curve is passed, it becomes extremely efficient — but initial adoption requires guidance and structure.

Additionally, while the platform excels in planning and collaboration, there are moments where loading times or navigation between different campaign components feel slightly slower than expected. It’s not a major blocker, but smoother transitions would make the experience even better.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal solves one of the biggest challenges in marketing operations: fragmented planning. Before using the platform, campaign information lived in multiple places — spreadsheets, decks, emails, and different team tools — making it difficult to get a unified view of what was happening across channels.

Opal consolidates all of this into a single, visual workspace where strategy, timelines, workflows, and content all connect. This gives us immediate clarity on how campaigns align, where dependencies exist, and where potential conflicts or overlaps might occur. It also streamlines collaboration by keeping reviews, approvals, and content previews in one environment, which reduces delays and makes cross-team coordination much smoother.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> I’m glad to hear how Opal is helping bring clarity and structure to your marketing plans, especially in connecting campaigns and making collaboration feel more seamless. I also appreciate your insights about onboarding and navigation. Thank you for taking the time to share how Opal is supporting your team’s work!

 ### 10. Effective Project Management with Some Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle C.

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I use Opal for managing my projects and organizing my daily work list, which significantly aids in visualizing my tasks, including those in progress or on hold. I find the ability to add 'moments' without incorporating them into the calendar very beneficial, as this feature allows me to keep track of smaller, personal tasks that don't necessarily need to be visible to others. This tailored functionality helps streamline my workflow by separating significant projects from minor tasks, preserving privacy where needed, and enhancing my task management experience.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I would like a way to show if something is in review or how many rounds of edits I've created. This would help show if it's stuck with partner reviews or if there are edits. Additionally, there was a bit of a learning curve for less tech-savvy employees.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Opal for project management to track daily tasks, organize tasks on boards, and manage personal to-dos without cluttering my calendar.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> It’s great to hear how the platform is helping you organize your projects and daily work, especially with the flexibility to manage both larger initiatives and personal tasks in a way that fits your workflow. Very fair point on the learning curve. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review.

 ### 11. Effortless Setup and Stellar UX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dayna V.

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I absolutely love the UX of Opal, as it makes the system incredibly easy to navigate, which enhances my overall experience using it. The ease of navigation means I can manage my tasks without any hindrance, saving time and effort. I also highly value the dashboards offered by Opal because they ensure I stay on top of all my projects, providing a comprehensive overview that enhances my project management efficiency. Furthermore, the initial setup was remarkably simple, making it a significant strength of Opal, which allowed me immediate access to all the content across my organization required for my tasks.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I actually think that the moments squares could be smaller. This would help fit more content on one page. There's a lot of white space that is not needed for the interface.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Opal reduces the complexity of managing a big paid media program and allows me to stay on top of all my projects easily.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback! It’s great to hear how Opal’s navigation, dashboards, and easy setup have helped streamline your project management and give you quick access to everything you need. Thank you again for being an Opal user and taking the time to share your experience!

 ### 12. Streamlined Communication and Planning with Opal

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I love using Opal for scheduling social media marketing and announcements because it allows us to view and share assets across teams efficiently, providing everyone with visibility and significantly reducing email traffic. This capability enhances our communication without needing to switch to other platforms like Teams for messaging, making planning simpler and more cohesive. Even though it was initially a bit tricky to learn, both my team and I quickly embraced Opal as an integral platform. The ease of communicating and collaborating directly within Opal, without having to resort to external messaging systems, is something we truly appreciate. The tool feels wonderful as it organizes our workflow seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I find the vastness of Opal initially intimidating, as the array of features can be overwhelming at first.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Opal to streamline social media scheduling, enhancing team communication and eliminating excessive emails. It solves shared file issues, providing visibility and coordination across teams. Opal simplifies marketing planning and ensures seamless asset sharing.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Opal! It’s wonderful to hear how the platform is helping your team coordinate social content, reduce email traffic, and collaborate more seamlessly across channels. I also appreciate your note about the initial learning curve — feedback like this is really helpful as we continue to make the platform more approachable for new users. Thank you again for taking the time to share how Opal is supporting your communication and planning workflows!

 ### 13. Empowers Focus and Habit-Building for Effective Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

What I like best about it is its approach to helping people work more effectively without feeling overwhelmed. The way it combines deep focus techniques with flexible workflows really stands out. It allows people to block out distractions and prioritize what matters, but it also lets you weave in breaks and moments of reflection—super important for maintaining energy and creativity.

Another thing I like is how it’s designed to help users build better habits, not just to check off tasks.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I’d say one of the drawbacks of Opal software, might be its learning curve for new users. It’s got some powerful features, but for someone just getting started, the interface can feel a bit overwhelming at first. It’s not always immediately obvious how to get the most out of things like blocking distractions or creating workflows that fit your unique needs. It requires some time to figure out how to set things up in a way that truly works for you.

Another downside could be how rigid the focus sessions can feel if you’re someone who needs more flexibility. While the structure is great for productivity, it can also feel a bit restrictive if your work style is more fluid or if you're juggling multiple tasks at once.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a brand designer working closely with teams like social media, events, and marketing, one of the biggest challenges I face is managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with the overall brand vision. Opal has been a game-changer in this regard by helping me maintain focus and structure across all the creative and collaborative tasks I juggle daily.

First, Opal solves the problem of distractions—especially when I'm deep in the design process. With the focus modes and distraction blockers, I can ensure that I’m fully immersed in the task at hand without getting sidetracked by notifications or unrelated tasks. This helps me produce high-quality work more efficiently.

Additionally, Opal’s task organization and project tracking have been invaluable for managing the overlapping deadlines and deliverables across teams. I can clearly outline what needs to be done, prioritize my tasks, and set clear goals for each collaboration, whether it’s designing assets for an event or developing content for a social media campaign. This level of clarity helps keep everything on track without the feeling of chaos that can come from too many moving parts.

Overall, Opal benefits me by improving my productivity, helping me stay organized across multiple teams, and ensuring that I’m focused on the right tasks at the right time. It’s an essential tool in managing my work without losing sight of the bigger picture, all while staying on top of the various projects that come my way.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you again for taking the time to share how Opal supports your productivity and creative process!

 ### 14. Hassle-Free Setup, Excellent for Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen D. | Marketing Lead - Cloud ERP Private

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I absolutely love Opal's user-friendly interface, which makes navigating through its features a seamless experience. Opal excels in fostering collaboration among different teams before launching projects. I find it invaluable that teams such as content and execution can work together across any omnichannel marketing tactic. Additionally, the way Opal enables us to put together boards gives a comprehensive overview of our programs currently in the market, aiding in strategic planning and execution. The easy setup process facilitated by Opal University has been fantastic, with quick videos providing a bird's eye view of its functionalities, simplifying the onboarding process for my team. I am consistently impressed with how Opal enables visibility and collaboration on a global scale, allowing any executive team member to view the marketing calendar and see activities being pushed into the market on any given day.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I would like to see improvements in the presentation feature of Opal. Enhancing this feature would allow for more customization, such as using editable custom templates that better reflect our brand.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal enhances team visibility on global marketing initiatives, allowing executives to see market activities instantly. It promotes collaboration across content and execution teams, offers a user-friendly interface, and supports strategic launch planning with easy team coordination.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback! It’s wonderful to hear how Opal’s interface, collaboration features, and onboarding resources have supported your team’s planning and coordination across markets. I also appreciate your note about the presentation feature and the desire for more customization — insights like this are incredibly helpful as we continue to enhance the platform.

 ### 15. Intuitive Platform, Seamless Integrations with Room for Feature Clarity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I appreciate how intuitive and user-friendly Opal is. The platform’s layout makes it easy to navigate, and the features are logically organized, allowing me to quickly access the tools I need. The seamless integration with other systems we use is particularly helpful, saving time and reducing workflow friction.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Some of the more advanced features can be difficult to discover without guidance, and there’s occasional inconsistency in responsiveness when multiple modules are used simultaneously. While the core functionality is strong, a few processes could benefit from simplification or clearer documentation.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps centralize content planning, approvals, and scheduling, making it easier to manage posts across multiple channels. It provides visibility into deadlines, performance tracking, and team collaboration, which streamlines the content workflow and reduces the risk of missed opportunities. This allows me to focus on creating engaging, timely posts rather than getting bogged down in administrative coordination.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> I’m glad to hear that Opal’s intuitive layout and integrations are helping streamline your planning and coordination across channels. I also appreciate your thoughts on the complexity of some advanced features. Thank you again for taking the time to share how Opal supports your content workflow!

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

Helps organize thoughts, tasks, and workflows.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

While it offers rules and scheduling, some people feel it doesn’t allow enough fine-tuning (e.g., very specific app behaviors or exceptions).

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You become more intentional about how you spend your time instead of reacting to notifications.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Some of the processes in Opal are click-heavy, which can make navigation and task completion more cumbersome than necessary. This issue could lead to inefficiencies and frustration during regular use, especially when managing multiple tasks or schedules.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Opal for social media scheduling and strategizing, which provides a clear schedule and visual strategy, and facilitates market designations. It also allows easy collaboration.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with how Opal is impacting your social media marketing. I’m glad to hear how Opal is helping you plan and coordinate social content across markets, and that the clarity and collaboration features are supporting your team’s work. I will make a note you feel the platform is a bit click-heavy.

Nothing new but I do love how it easy to see what everyone is working on.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Just mainly the user interface but other than that I works perfect.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves my team not being on the same page. I love that I can jump into Boards and know exactly where we stand on a project and when it should be completed.

 ### 21. The best tool for social media planning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

This tool is incredibly user-friendly and seamlessly integrates into our social media planning process. Its ability to provide visibility for various stakeholders within our organization is crucial to our success. The customer support has been exceptional—anytime we encounter an issue, the team is quick to troubleshoot and resolve it. I’ve never used a platform that is both this comprehensive and effective in developing social media plans and campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

There’s not much to improve, but it would be fantastic if they added social media publishing functionality in the future. Having everything in one place would make the platform even more seamless and efficient! 😊

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal serves as a single source of truth for our social media team's planning across all platforms. It offers excellent organization, visibility, and tracking for our multiple stakeholder groups, enabling our team to stay flexible. Since we work across different time zones, it significantly boosts our efficiency and helps us collaborate seamlessly.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for the outstanding review - I literally couldn't have said it better myself! I am going to share this with the team! In particular, thank you for calling out our support team and the speed with which they resolve errors.

 ### 22. Great collaborative planning tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I find Opal to be a great collaborative planning tool for the different communications teams across our enterprise. There are a lot of options for making entries, filtering and searching, which I appreciate. It gives us the opportunity to see not just what's being published internally and externally across the company, but also among our teams and leaders, which helps us align our efforts. There are some features we're not using at this time, but the ability to implement those when the time is right seems easy enough, and overall it's a great tool.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I don't know that the system is super intuitive. We've had to onboard our team several times and it required some effort to put our regular comms plans into the architecture of the site (themes vs. stories vs. moments vs. content). But we did get there and now it works great for us. I think the feature I'd most love to see is the ability to export boards or stories. The Opal software is great, but it would help to be able to export things to share with leaders or teams who do not have Opal licenses.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alignment and collaboration of multiple communications teams across the enterprise

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> I appreciate your thoughtful review of Opal as a collaborative planning tool for your enterprise communications teams. Your feedback about the robust filtering, searching, and visibility features helping align efforts across your company is valuable. Thank you also for sharing your candid assessment of the learning curve.

Good news, you can export Boards! Ask you CSM to show you how.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

The complete overview of all content pieces and to quickly move around posts as things and timings change. Also the look back to recycle best performing posts and assets from the past. Really easy to use once you are used to it and the connection to other tools like Sprinklr is very useful.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The first days are not easy because the tool offers quite a lot of possibilities. But after that, it is really easy to use.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All posts, assets, channels, copies, images in one place. Collobarion via teams and other countries and markets is really easy and useful.

 ### 24. Opal for Social Media

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

As a social media manager, we create a lot of content each month. I love creating a mock post within the platform itself so you do not have to click out to watch our videos play. My favorite feature is the presentation. Being able to put our content together this way and send for approval really streamlines the process.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I wish I could more easy duplicate and move content around. It would be nice to be able to mass duplicate and move an entire list over to a specific board.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content organization, planning, and sharing.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Opal as a social media manager. I'm delighted to hear that our true-to-life content previews and presentation features have helped streamline your approval process! While it is not exactly the same, you are able to move a collection or list of content from one board to another. Ask your CSM to see how to do it.

 ### 25. Great tool to coordinate across matrix'd marketing orgs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Allows for many disparate marketing teams to be able to align on marketing plans and execution. Everyone gets to have the visibility. Then those that need to collaborate between the inputs vs the execution have a place to track.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Like anything that tried to address complex business processes, the tools sometimes can feel complex at first. you really need a strong change management and enablement program to facilitate the rollout.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

a single source of truth for the marketing projects..all the creative inputs and all the execution/promotion plans of record

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing your insights on how Opal is your single source of truth for marketing! I appreciate your feedback about the platform's ability to align disparate teams while providing necessary visibility and collaboration capabilities...that is one of the most important things Opal does!

 ### 27. Effective Organization Across Functions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

The ability to collaborate easily across teams in a big organization. Everything you need is in one place.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Sometimes the descriptions for the tabs can get too long and make the page cumbersome to work with. But that is more of a user issue than an issue with the product.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Opal as a project management platform so multiple teams across the company can collaborate on complex projects with multiple workstreams

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> I appreciate your feedback about Opal's strength in facilitating collaboration across teams in your large organization, with everything conveniently available in one place. Thank you for sharing how you're using Opal as a project management platform to enable multiple teams to collaborate effectively on complex, multi-workstream projects across your company.

We use Opal daily to review creative and its been a huge asset to our team and overall company. Everything comes through super hi res and easy to read/review.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

Nothing really. Some times it glitches a bit and assets dont load. But more often than not it works great and is easy to use.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal has allowed us to clearly view and review marketing campaigns all in one place. While you can build decks, those images are never large enough or high res enough to read digitally. Opal lets us see the larger overview of creative and how were coming to market.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Wonderful to hear that Opal has upgraded your creative review process! The ability to experience marketing the way your customer will during reviews is one of the reasons users love Opal. Thanks for writing a review and for being an Opal user.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rashawn C. | Sr Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I keeps every post organized and you can see how the post looks in each platform.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

That notes from other team members can get lost in different sections. I also dislike that I can't automatically be notified about all changes made to all posts. I have to manually subscribe to each post.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization and alignment of posts throughout different teams globally.

**Official Response from Lee Dussinger:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Opal! We appreciate your feedback about the platform's strengths in keeping posts organized and providing platform-specific previews. Your insights on how Opal is helping with global team alignment are valuable as we continue to improve our platform.

How small the "note", "chat & activity" section is. I wish you could slide the width of the side bar out to make the text bigger.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris R. | Director, Paid Social, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Opal is very easy to learn as most things are intuitive. Opal makes it extremely easy to collaborate on creative with clients. You're able to see exactly what creative is supposed to look like in each platform and can easily copy and paste copy/headlines into ads and download assets. An underrated feature is the ability to tag users when creative is ready or if edits need to be made. The calendar view makes it super simple to find any planned content, or you can always use the search feature.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

There isn't much that I dislike about Opal or have feedback on, which I know isn't helpful.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal is solving the problem of collaborating with clients on creative. The main way it is benefiting me is that I know exactly how the ads are supposed to look and can easily copy and paste everything directly into my ad platforms.

 ### 36. Finally a tool that works!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

my favorite feature is how moments can build a calendar. but i also like being able to see many projects in one place.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

some of the features are not intuitive - sometimes i get confused by the many options and going back and forth between the moments boards and into a piece of content for example.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

multiple people/projects building a calendar together. Being able to easily look at everything within a certain topic area.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Opal?**

That everything can exist in one place. Approvals, actual assets, links, chat section, stories, etc.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The chat section can get a little confusing when you look at it in moment view. Also, sometimes assets are for multiple channels and it only allows you to select on channel.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving approval back and forth via email. This makes it a smooth process

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

 ### 38. Source of truth for content marketing campaigns & collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I've used Opal since 2014 as part of two different organizations. I've seen the evolution of the software product as Opal listens to its customers as well as innovates on solutions you didn't know you needed, but are now part of everyday work in Opal.

Opal helps companies collaborate in a meaningful way across teams, functions and marketing communication channels. You can visualize the content in idea formation (Boards) as well as final planned content and campaigns (Calendar). The Opal workspaces are highly configurable and flexible to meet our different businesses and teams' needs. You can filter to your team's specific work or expand to view the company level of content plans for visibility and better alignment/consistency.

Opal's calendar is a source of truth for my team's campaigns currently in market, and it's something my team uses daily. With chat & activity history and user workflows, teams can refine, review and approve content to create the finished product. One integration with our social media publishing software helps save time and minimize error by delivering completed and approved content into our publish queue.

One of my favorite features is the ability to create shareable Opal content presentations in just a few clicks. This has saved me countless hours over the years I've been using Opal and has replaced manually creating the presentation decks. Not only do the presentations look sharp, but they update in real-time as content plans change (as they often do!). Presentations are available to non-Opal users and best of all, Opal provides insight on who has actually viewed them.

With any new technology, a large measure of success is user adoption. Opal has a great variety of onboarding and ongoing training materials, in addition to a learning center. It's important to have executive support, set early expectations and have an ongoing committment for how Opal will be integrated into everyday work.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

At the admin level, there aren't readily available user analytics to view at any time, but my Opal customer success rep is able to report those on a regular basis.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps companies collaborate in a meaningful way across teams, functions and marketing communication channels. You can visualize the content in idea formation (Boards) as well as final planned content and campaigns (Calendar). Opal's calendar is a source of truth for my team's campaigns currently in market, and it's something my team uses daily.

 ### 39. I had such a positive experience with Opal, I got my entire team to use it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelsie C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

The interface (specifically the calender overview and boards) give me and my team the information we need at a glance. We've found great use out of the customizable workflow tool, approval and task assignments. We use it everyday. We would not be able to run a smooth process without Opal. I found so much success with this tool for social media that I actually integrated my other team on to the platform as well!

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The only thing I would change about Opal is the presentation view. I wish I could export presentations and share with people in my org that do not have Opal with the capability for them to leave comments and reviews on the deck without them having a seat.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal helps my team get visibility in to each others work. We love that we are able to see what progress is being made on specific campaigns using the workflow function. It also helps keep us organized and plan ahead while being able to easily access what type of content we have produced in the past.

**Reviewed by:** Lara E. | Senior Content and Social Media Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Opal?**

The calendar views let me dynamically select and deselect views to get an overview of the social and content posts that are most relevant to see.

The team are always very supportive and like an extention of our own social team.

I also appreciate how it integrates with Sprinklr to remove duplicate work.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

There are many fields to fill in, but your organisation can configure to what you need and that streamlines processes further down the line.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us full visibility of blogs and social across the business so we can streamline processes and avoid duplication.

 ### 43. Fantastic Content Management for Marketing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I like the ease of function to manage and prioritize content. Unlike other file management tools, Opal offers the opportunity to organize and manage your content so that you can keep track of everything and implement by priority of your choosing.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

My biggest issue with Opal is that the user interface can initially be a little overwhelming. On some screens, options are not as intuitive and I can easily spend a few minutes searching for my destination

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of the amount of content we produce for marketing. With the sheer amount of content we product it could get out of hand, but Opal helps us keep track of everything for different campaigns.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Managing a huge amount of content slated for publication is a common challenge. Helping marketers handle their content is one of the ways that Opal shines. It’s awesome that this has been your experience as well. Thank you for using Opal in your content program and for leaving us a review!

Allows us to more easily share calendars with the team and provide a visual representation of the calendar to make it more easily digestible.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I thought it was pretty easy to use and implement across our marketing organization. The customer support wasn't too helpful but they were able to get some of the features that we needed. We used Opal daily in our meetings to run instead of meeting notes. Integration with our existing processes could use some more work

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I found initially, the sorting was not easy to use. The interface seems a bit outdated but I was able to still get the job done.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management tool for organizing product launches and collaboration on campaigns.

 ### 46. Clear boards with easy navigation

We use it to prepare and schedule global organic social posts. I love the fact that we can make a board per country and it's easily accessed. Also, there's only a few steps to make content live. communication and alerts are also very helpful when wanting to get content approved. For large global teams, it's great!

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I'd like to test more options in Boards before submitting them for review. More like a grou work in progress.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having one source of truth for global content

 ### 47. Overall, a great tool for enterprise communications organization.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Overall, it's a complex tool that is hard to get used to. Once you get used to it, I think there are a lot of benefits. I especially like the ability to track a large amount of events in one place.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

It takes a bit of time to get used to the UX on the Opal platform, however, once you learn the little nuances it becomes fairly intuitive.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

visibility across multiple areas of the company

 ### 48. Great tool, needs full org buy-in and time to adopt.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Opal?**

Opal was clearly designed thoughtfully, intentionally, and with users' biggest pain points and challenges in the content process, in mind. The people are insanely helpful - from the sales process to the onboarding to the ongoing support - and they absolutely want to see you succeed, even when they don't fully grasp what you need initially. They also are clearly committed to innovating and area always updating the platform.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

The platform feels very all-or-nothing, and it's really time consuming compared to the tools we were planning on kililng in order to replace with Opal. We had a really hard time adopting and using it as part of our regular process and so after many attempts throughtout various team mates and campaigns, we gave up (despite having paid for 6 months).

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility on a campaign at a high exec level, easily exporting components of a campaign, even as assets changed the link that is shared remains the same.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> We're pleased to hear that Opal is effectively solving challenges related to campaign visibility, exporting campaign components, and maintaining consistent links. These aspects contribute to enhancing your team's workflow and efficiency, and it's great to know that Opal is delivering value in these areas. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for being an Opal customer.

 ### 49. Opal Makes You a Better Brand Story Teller. PERIOD.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 😃 Kenji O. | Global Social Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Opal?**

For brands who are serious about story telling, Opal allows you to plan and visualize your narratives both at a 35 thousand foot view, but also easily see what's happening at every moment.

This allows brand content marketers to better tell stories and narratives at cadances that are easy to understand, change and communicate/collaborate with key stakeholders on.

Opal is built to help people like you tell better stories, collaborate more and help everybody understand what narratives are being told and when. It will be your place of truth.

Furthermore, the Opal team is just really, really cool to work with -- out of all the platform success teams I've worked with, I've found them the most helpful, the most responsive and the most just "they get it" when I talk to them. Their team really is a feature within itself.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

I don't have much to put here to be honest - I guess if I had to be nit picky is that it can be that sometime some of the previews or mockups don't always 100% show up how they will "out-in-the-wild". This is very minor however and not something that would ever hold me up.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main one is helping our strategic planning. With the ability to easily map out narratives, it's easy to understand what is happening, on what channels, when and what it looks like -- across a variety of devices.

It also allows us to have one place of truth - where everyone can look and see "oh, that's what's happening". There's no need to look across various emails, spreadsheets, or decks to try to figure it out.

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Thank you for this outstanding five-star review! Opal was built specifically for brand storytellers like yourself, so it is absolutely wonderful to hear you’re getting so much value from it. Being a source of truth for creative people running omni-channel campaigns is a key tenet of our platform – so hearing this is tremendous as well. I will absolutely pass this stellar review along to our entire team!

 ### 50. Love Opal!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley F. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Opal?**

I love the previews the platform provides for social media usage. I also LOVE the presentation feature. It makes sharing my work for approvals and working with cowoerks easier thane ever. Opal is user-friendly and has made managing my editorial calendar 100x easier.

**What do you dislike about Opal?**

My least favorite part about Opal is the feedback/review and tracked editing features. It is difficult to track changes on long-form projects and there is not a streamlined way to provide feedback. Our team uses the chat feature for reviews, but it would be great if there was a more precise way to leave comments on a piece of content.

**What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opal allows us to maintain an organized and widely shared editorial calendar. Everything I need is organized in one place and finding archived work is super easy in Opal. The search feature is great!

**Official Response from Katie Pocklington:**

> Making collaboration and approvals smoother is at the core of our platform, and we're delighted that it's helping you work seamlessly with your colleagues. It's fantastic to know that Opal has significantly improved your editorial calendar management! I’ll be sure to pass your glowing review along to our team!
