# Deel HR vs Remote for a startup that wants to hire and pay international contractors without having to set up legal entities in each country?

Both can support that model, so the real comparison is speed, compliance help, pricing, support, and country coverage.

In contractor payments, the split looks like this:

For pure contractor pay without setting up entities, both cover the core job well enough that you won't go wrong on payments alone, so decide on the second-order stuff. Where they diverge is EOR coverage in specific countries, the pricing model, and how support behaves at real volume. The bigger question is trajectory: are these staying contractors, or will some convert to full employees abroad? If conversion's coming, evaluate the EOR side now, because that's where the real difference shows up, not the payments.
