Another thing is in simulation you can do a step forward performing a block code but you cant do a backward step. **What problems is SolidCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a mechatronics engineer i use it for my projects design. when i want to manufacture a custom part i use solidcam to extract the G-Codeand ensure best results. ### 2. The simulation and verification features are crucial because they help ensure the accuracy of the toolpaths before they are implemented on the machines. This minimizes errors and saves valuable time. Another feature that stands out to me is the automatic feature recognition, which significantly facilitates the programming process by identifying different elements of the design without manual intervention, thus streamlining the entire process. Additionally, I find the initial setup of SolidCAM to be relatively straightforward; it’s not hard to get started, which is always a plus when integrating new software into my daily operations. **What do you dislike about SolidCAM?** I experience system instability and performance lagging when using SolidCAM. These issues could be improved by optimizing the software architecture. **What problems is SolidCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use SolidCAM to automate CNC programming, improving efficiency with high performance, simulation, verification, and automatic feature recognition. ### 3. The capability of swapping and editing your model on the fly is almost essential. Along with how building tools and importanting them is the easiest it has ever been can only benefit users. We have local reps that answer our questions so the customer support is on par with the rest of the softwares. **What do you dislike about SolidCAM?** There are times where the software can have some glitches and crash. The main issue I have with SolidCAM is the uncertainty of how stable it is. **What problems is SolidCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Anytime I need to start a project for a customer, I see how much I can do on SolidCAM and the continue from there. ### 4. It seamlessly integrates with other CAD platforms like SolidWorks. It has user friendly interface which is good for CNC programmer. **What do you dislike about SolidCAM?** It takes a lot of time to load the large file and sometimes it crashes the file. Lack of specific advanced functionalities and machining strategies. **What problems is SolidCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solidcam solves various challenges faced in CNC machining including toolpath generation, manual errors and limited integration between design and manufacturing systems. ### 6. And also able to get details and support from Solidworks. Tight integration to CAD software's design to the production life cycle and fast and complex 4-5 axis projects can be easily handled. **What do you dislike about SolidCAM?** Nothing more to tell in terms of dislike. One thing I want to say to it is crashing files while you are working on large files. And also work slowly on middle-configuration PC. **What problems is SolidCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automating machining has become more accessible. Very happy with the software, which has provided the expected outcomes. The finished product is as expected and produces at a more incredible speed. ### 7. It provides an HSM feature that maximizes the machine rate and reduces the time. **What do you dislike about SolidCAM?** As a regular user, I don't have any point or feature in solid cam to dislike. **What problems is SolidCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** It saves my time by its feature of AFR i.e. automated feature recognition which recognizes machine features by integrating with CAm which generally saves my time. It provides the perfect machine solution and program for CNC machines. ### 8. Realli appreciate to program trajectories on tool steel. It really reduce machine maintenance costs as well **What do you dislike about SolidCAM?** Only price. I would like to get yearly update packet free of charge. **What problems is SolidCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it to machine tool steels and products from AMPCO bronze, alluminium alloys, durals. I mentioned before it extends machine and milling life time and reduces maintenance costs. ### 9. The best i like is working in "part", and direct editing whatever i want to make a good route for program. Sometimes i copy the original part in CAD, the make some changes, and the work on the changed version. Also i use this for fixtures and etc. SolidCAM gives me everything i need to be a good CNC programmer. **What do you dislike about SolidCAM?** I dislike autosave wich is not possible to turn off. After 2017 SolidCAM version, there is a problem wich 2D and 3D iMachining, Side step menu isn't working. I saw this in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 versions. So i steel use 2017 SP3 version. **What problems is SolidCAM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Most of all i make injection molds, some prototypes, wood works, mechanical parts and etc. ### 10.
