The Perry County Transportation Authority (PCTA) converted to the Ecolane DRT system on August 8, 2013. Prior to our conversion to the Ecolane DRT, the PCTA was scheduling trips manually, providing our drivers with paper manifests, using two-way radios to communicate with our fleet and calculating and reporting data by hand. Additionally, the PCTA administrative staff were unable to perform compliance checks on our service.
Since our conversion to the Ecolane DRT, our transit agency is operating much more efficiently. The system is very user friendly for all transit staff - from drivers, to dispatchers, schedulers, reservation staff, fleet manager and administrators. All data is collected on driver tablets and provides the dispatch staff with real time positioning of the fleet. Since all data is readily available and easy to view, the PCTA has incorporated monthly compliance checks on all trips performed by our transit agency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Perry County Transportation Authority (PCTA) is still utilizing an older version of the Ecolane DRT. Ecolane has added features to the system that will make the system even better. We are patiently awaiting the upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
