We were looking for something simple, affordable and genuinely integrated with Slack, having had some frustrating experiences with other providers in the past. Windmill has been exactly what we needed!<br><br>It’s really easy to use, both from an admin perspective and for the wider team. The Slack integration makes a huge difference, and Windy’s conversational approach to gathering feedback makes the whole process feel much less formal and cumbersome than traditional performance review tools.<br><br>I also really like the calibration features, which have helped us introduce a bit more structure and consistency to our reviews without overcomplicating things.<br><br>Getting set up was incredibly straightforward, and being able to properly try it out on the free tier before committing was a big plus. The team have also been brilliant, really responsive, open to feedback and genuinely helpful throughout.

I think Windmill is great. I like having a central place for managers to give and track feedback and for me to track performance. The manager review flow makes writing reviews better and faster, so we’ve made quarterly reviews a standard part of our cadence because the process is that smooth. Reviews feel more data-driven, with less recency bias because Windmill pulls in Granola notes from 1:1s throughout the review period. It took performance reviews from a dreaded blank-page writing exercise to something grounded in real, aggregated context, making our team’s reviews faster to write and noticeably higher quality. I’ve replaced all other 1:1 and performance software with Windmill, the initial setup was very easy, and the team is incredibly responsive to feedback and helpful when questions come up.
