  ### 1. Streamlined Assessments with Easy-to-Read Reports

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

I really find the Wonderlic reports to be the easiest to read. The information is easily digestible and explained in a way that any member of the hiring team can understand. The use of green, yellow, and red colors for score ranges makes understanding how the score relates to the role even easier. I also appreciate that the assessment takes only 35-40 minutes for the candidate, which reduces candidate drop off compared to other assessments we've used that took 1.5 hours or more. Plus, Wonderlic warns us if the candidate answers are inconsistent, indicating they may be trying to manipulate the results. Wonderlic is incredibly easy and fast to use; we just select the job, and it compares our candidate against thousands of data points.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

I wish Wonderlic included an EQ assessment. Currently, components of the existing assessments can hint at EQ, but it requires additional training to interpret them in that way.

**What problems is Wonderlic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wonderlic helps confirm candidate alignment with roles, offering easy-to-read reports and reducing assessment time to prevent candidate drop-off. The alert for inconsistent answers is also helpful. However, we wish for a dedicated EQ assessment for better insights.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

The Wonderlic Select assessment has helped our company place and hire top candidates for many years. Wonderlic's continuous improvements with helpful AI analysis of candidates' results in recent years has astronomically improved our hiring outcomes and I strongly believe that as our company continues to grow, we can expect to continue hiring great fits with Wonderlic's help.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

One thing we've found is that we lack oversight of the automated communications that go out to candidates when we do a manual push or when we want to send re-tests. We would prefer to have control over what verbiage is sent out, to help improve the candidate experience, and to make their testing process feel less automated and more personalized.

**What problems is Wonderlic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wonderlic has helped our company to source candidates with a greater level of attention to detail and all of the great things that are looked at in the Cognitive Skills portion of the assessment, which in turn has greatly helped us improve our level of quality control and efficiency in many ways. As a manufacturing company, these are vitally important factors. 
Wonderlic has also helped us determine which candidates have the strongest level of motivation for a given role, and what's great about Wonderlic is that we can then copy their results over to other opportunities we have available to compare them and find the right candidate for the right opportunity. The motivation portion of the assessment is a great asset to us, as it realistically summarizes how and why someone may or may not be a great fit for a given role. 
We have found over the years that knowing about a candidate's personality before an interview helps us to set realistic expectations and adjust our communication style. This area also helps us make informed decisions on which candidates are going to be the best fit with the department for which we are hiring, or the team they'll be working in.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

Wonderlic is a great entry assessment that we use for all of our candidates. We have progressed from using the paper assessment and now administer all online. Wonscore provides a lot of additional candidate insights and preparation tools for the interview stage.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

Our managers are very tied to the cognitive result and we have a baseline standards that must be met for each role.

Wonderilic helps us to ensure that we have candidates who meet the minimum standards for our role. Our roles require problem solving, collaboration and communication. The assessment is a good indicator of fit.

Sometimes the summaries ccan be a little vague. Otherwise, there isn't much I don't like.

Wonderlic helps us in determining whether or not a candidate may be a good fit for our organization. We use the assessment tool for everyone in a management position. I can say that when we hire outside of our normal parameters, the candidate usually does not work out.

Wonderlic is a comprehensive and intuitive way to evaluate the success of a potential hire. It doesn't just assess a person's personality but gives a well-rounded picture of what we can expect from them in terms of personality and performance. It's easy to administer and is customized for the position which they apply to.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

The only downside is that I believe some of the questions on the "Motivation" section can be a bit redundant and not applicable to the position in which someone is applying to, so results are not always true to form.

**What problems is Wonderlic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wonderlic is helping us solve the challenge of understanding candidates more holistically and accurately. By combining cognitive ability, personality, and motivation into one assessment, it gives us a clearer picture of whether someone can do the job, wants to do the job, and how they’ll approach the work. This has improved our ability to predict job fit, streamline hiring decisions, and ultimately build stronger, longer‑lasting teams. We strive for a positive work environment and low turnover, which is why we use Wonderlic as part of the hiring process.

I like that the results are instant.  I also like that you can create testing links for the jobs.

I dislike that you have to click on the score to see the wonderlic RAW score.  the initial view is the curve or percentile.

We  find that candidates that do well are demonstrating the ability to think on their feet and also excel in the fast pace of training.

  ### 7. Convenient Virtual Testing, but Data Comparison and LE Personality Model Need Rework

Enables the agency to administer cognitive testing virtually.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

I dislike that the system uses job applicant data to predict the success of other applicants in a given role. In my opinion, it should only use data from individuals who were actually hired for a given role or, even better, who have been serving in that role for at least a few years. Additionally, the personality feature needs to be recalibrated for law enforcement positions. If Wonderlic were to survey LE officers across the country, I can guarantee that "Enterprising" would not be their most dominant personality trait.

I can't think of any.

Candidates who follow through with the Wonderlic assessment are genuinely interested in the job and not just clicking a button to submit a resume with no effort.  Customer support has been fantastic and the system is very easy to use.  I have used the system on a continual basis for over 2 years now.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

I would be helpful if we as the employer could actually read the job profile that is chosen based on key words we enter for the title.  Would then be more reassuring that the job profile is actually a match with what we are recruiting for.

**What problems is Wonderlic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wonderlic has helped us improve in our selection process and has saved us a lot of time by not interviewing candidates who are not a good "fit" for the position.  It also makes it easier to tell a candidate why they are not receiving an interview.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

Wonderlic is able to accurately and quickly give us valuable insignt on a potential candidate before we move forward with the hire. In my experience, the coginitive thinking and personality portions of the assessment have been very accurate and reliable. Although it is not perfect, I am very impressed with how well it is able to analize an individual and present this informtion to us in a simple manner. The interface is easy to use and very well thought out. Candidates tend to have an easy time taking and completing the assessment as well. Overall, I am happy to have integrated Wonderlic into our hiring process and beleive it has been a great help for our company.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

My experience with Wonderlic has been great and there is not a single dislike on my end. As some constructive feedback, I would love the option to have a much shorter assessment if possible. Somewhere between 20 to 30 minutes max, perhaps focusing more on the personality and cognitive thinking scores. It would also be interesting to see more details on the congnitive score, perhaps dividing it into sections such spacial, mathmatics, and linguistic. I am excited to follow the continuos develpment of Wonderlic moving forward.

**What problems is Wonderlic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wonderlic allows us to save time when it comes to scheduling and conducting interviews. When a position opens, we have a clear idea as to the personality that would be successful in the role. Similarly, we know how big the learning curve will be if we decide to hire someone with less experience. Having the candidates complete the Wonderlic before hand allows us to better focus our time and resources for the right candidate. The insight is also very valuable when it comes to making a final decision and even for training.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

Our company uses it as a tool in the hiring process. It helps evaluate congnitive, motivation and personality of the candidate to help make a more informed decision. It helps direct questions to candidates based on the results. The Wonderlic is very easy to use and implement.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

It takes about 40 mintues for the candidate to complete so it is an investment of time on their part so we only send it to the top candidates.  There is a timed math section and I think there are quite a few people that have test anxiety especially when it's timed. It would be much better if candidates could take their time on this section.  I would prefer to give candidates an assessment that would be a little quicker overall. I also don't think the results always are very accurate.

It helps us evaluate candidates during the interview process. We can ask additional follow up questions based on the results.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

It shows a lot of things about a person that you might be missing during an interview. It really helps to pin point what questions you should be narrowing in more on than others. It is really cool too to see the correlation between the results and when meeting in person! It is really easy to use and understand. Customer service is fantastic if you have questions. It is also great how much you can use this for in your process such as interviewing, training, communicating with others. We started using this with our corporate hires but it has been so helpful we now brought it out to our site teams! It is a pretty cool system to use and we use it with almost all of our candidates now.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

It is not fool proof! It is hard for those that have already taken the assessment who know how to cheat their way around saying the right answers. It also seems hurtful to those who are neurodivergent or how it affects those in different groups such as age diversity. It certainly can provide skewed results so it is definitely not something to heavily rely on and more so something the lean on to expand your understanding of a person.

Seeing and understanding things that we might be missing during our interview process. Helps us understand a person more who might preform really well in person interviews but when it comes to really doing the job or their personality - things that we might be missing face to face - this really helps us see those things that are hidden.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

It's very easy to add and remove assessments for different job titles. It's easy to review the results in three categories.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

Sometimes the data analytics options do not work. It would be nice it there was a third option in addition to hired and archived since we have candidates that we would have hired, but maybe the self selected out of the process.

**What problems is Wonderlic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with mostly accountants so we want to primarily make sure that their cognitive score is high to perform their work tasks. Wonderlic helps to solve this problem by measuring for cognitive ability and gives us other insights as well.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

There are a lot of pros to using Wonderlic. It has a good test to determine analytical, behavioral and motivational patterns for potential hires. The website is very user-friendly and it has a lot of data on if a candidate would be a good fit for our company or not. Wonderlic is used multiple times a week by our company and integration has been simple for new account users to work their way through the site with little help from the team or the customer support.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

I have no qualms against Wonderlic. Everything seems to run smoothly in my experience.

**What problems is Wonderlic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wonderlic helps us gauge if a candidate is a good fit with the jobs we offer and the culture that we have here. There is plenty of data that candidates input so we appreciate the security features involved and causes us less stress.

Using Wonderlic has been a game changer for our company. We're able to quickly assess if a candidate would be a good fit for specific positions. I especially like the interview guide which shows us tips for onboarding success and questions to ask. It's very easy for the hiring team to use and understand.

The only downside is I think some people get test anxiety over the cognitive portion. I consider that score as part of their assessment, but I also compare it with their job experience and education.

The Wonderlic platform is easy to use and has an intuitive design. I love how you can setup job profiles and consolidate and compare results. The tool is easy to navigate and provides a nice user experience as well. Our reps are always responsive and available as well. We use this tool on a daily basis in the talent acquisition space as part of our prehire activities.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

We do not always get to use to the full test capability of the Wonscore due to how our organization uses the assessment. We rely primarily on the cognitive test, so we do not see the holistic view of the WonScore.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

I do like the personality portion of the assessment. However, I believe that employers get hung up on it and make decisions ONLY based on the assessment which creates bias.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

Nothing about the science makes sense and the people who are supposed to have the answers can never fully explain the science behind it. We find over and over that our questions go unanswered which gives me no confidence in this assessment. The scoring changes and makes no sense and is not consistent at all. I also believe there are many factors which could skew someone's results based on the environment or headspace they are in when taking the assessment. No one with Wonderlic can ever put my mind to ease on these questions. I feel like calls that are supposed to explain the science and scoring are nothing more than inflated sales calls.

I also believe that clients become too dependent on this assessment which ends up with making poor decisions in hiring. Hiring based on an assessment alone not knowing what someone was dealing with when they took it should not be the only hiring decision. For me, I would put more stock into it adminstered in a controlled environment, but when someone is taking it on their own, it puts more questions in my mind than answers.

I honestly do not find it to solve any hiring problems.

I like that the test gives an insight to cognitave ability, as well as motivation, extrovert/introvert, etc. The website is also very easy to use for both the employer and candidate.

Sometimes what it scores candidates on can be irrelevent, resulting in an unnecessary low score for the profile. For example: Why is an office assisant being scored low for not having a sales motivation? Of course an office assistant isn't going to be interested in sales, and their position will rarely, if ever, require them to sell.

The ease of use for this platform is remarkable.  From both the candidate perspective and the employer, the Wonderlic platform is easy to navigate and generates results quickly.  The ability to flag unsual results is a nice feature too.

The newer version takes measures motivation and personality more than the older version.  I do like this new update.  However, I feel like it tips the scale way too much in favor or against the candidate.

I use Wonderlic daily and value its user-friendly nature! We have multiple positions available, each requiring a separate assessment. Wonderlic aids our company in gaining job-specific insights into a candidate's suitability for the role. The assessments are specifically designed and tailored for each position, and the results enable us to more accurately determine whether a candidate possesses the necessary skills to do the job. If I need assistance, a tab at the bottom can connect me directly to customer service - so help is only a click away! Wonderlic is a great tool to have in the hiring process, and I would recommend it to anyone who is recruiting talent!

I honestly have no complaints when it comes to using Wonderlic. I can't think of anything!

I believe this tool helps weed out the candidates just putting in applications and don't really care if they get the job. Candidates who take the time to do the assessment shows that motivated and want the position. 
Even though we interview someone, you don't get a full picture of their capability to do the job. Using Wonderlic gives us a better understanding of an indivuduals abilities to perform the job and helps us learn a little more about them. It also provides insight on how to help the candidate be successful once they have been hired.

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

Wonderlic allows you to assess various aspects of a job applicant and then provides feedback on how well they may match up to the specific job you have posted.  Wonderlic is very easy to use and matches the job you are trying to fill, as long as your job title is specific.  For example, if you wanted to fill a job for a Radio Program Director, you would enter it as such, and not just "Program Director," since that title could apply to multiple industries.  Wonderlic also provides great details about the applicant's strengths and weaknesses.  We have entered ourselves, knowing how we perform in our positions, to use as a benchmark for how well a person might perform.  For example, if we score a 63 out of 100 and we perform well in the job, we would not exclude appilcans who score around the same.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

If you are not constantly in "hiring mode" the Wonderlic fee is a bit pricey.

Wonderlic helps us see potential strengths and weaknesses of candidates, which provides great assistance during interviews.  We probe into both areas to help us determine job fit.

I like the user friendliness of Wonderlic. It's easy to navigate from a candidate and employer point of view, but it doesn't seem like a way to pull the cadidate's exact test answers to identify how low scores happen or if there was a pause/interuption in service. There are so many factors that impact tests that we aren't able to evaluate with the scoring results.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

I could see how Wonderlic could be successful but the testing seems a little too standardized per position. Analytical minds seem to not be testing well based on position applied for with Wonderlic. It's hard to see how some roles think and process information versus others. It was also help to have a more unlimited profile/job title model and be priced that way but I'm not sure if that's a plan we chose on our end versus the availability of Wonderlic unlimited use.

Wonderlic provides us addtional data that we cannot learn from speaking with candidates.

Wonderlic is very easy to use and navigate. The site is user-friendly and requires very little information to get applicants started in the system.

I have heard that the reports have changed in recent years; they are now less detailed.

Wonderlic is helping to weed out any potential applicants who may not be the best fit for our roles. We are able to tailor interview questions based on Wonderlic results as well. Wonderlic gives us much more insight into our candidates before they come onsite for an interview.

Not intregrated with UKG/UltiPro, managers would have to go to a separate website to view results

**What do you like best about Wonderlic?**

I use Wonderlic as the first stage for applicants.  I send them a link to complete the assessment and those that score in the moderate fit or above categories move to the telephone interview stage.  It saves me a lot of time qualifying candidates.  It is easy to use, just select the type of job opening and Wonderlic uses metrics from the job description to determine a candidates abilities and interests in the position.  If you have questions, customer support is fantastic and very responsive.
The cognitive ability section of the assessment is very insightful, as you won't always discount a candidate for scoring in the lower range in that section so you can use the the feedback from Wonderlic to create a training program that will work.

**What do you dislike about Wonderlic?**

It is difficult to determine how Wonderlic is deciding if a candidate is a good fit.  You don't see the job duties or abilities for the job title you select.  For instance, a customer service representative is a generic job title but the job duties are never the same throughout different industries.  How does Wonderlic determine the skills needed for the industry specific jobs when they just use the job title you input?  I would like a little bit more transparency on the scoring and criteria used.

**What problems is Wonderlic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me quickly get through the preliminary stages of candidacy.  If a candidate isn't serious about the position they usually won't complete the assessment which saves me time.  I really like that Wonderlic can indicate if a candidate is motivated by the job duties and interested in the type of work.  You can also get an indication if they will integrate with the existing team.
