WeTransform has significantly improved the way we handle incoming data from our client. This client is one of the largest freight procurement companies operating between Asia and Latin America, managing more than 250 ocean contracts at the same time.
As the digital partner for this client, we process a high volume of freight rate files every week and month, and the structure of those files varies from one carrier to another. In the past, this created a lot of friction in our operations and required extensive manual processing. The risk with that approach is that manual workflows depend heavily on individual experience and are difficult to audit.
It’s also hard to change a carrier’s format to comply with ours, so we often had to reprocess everything on our end.
The WeTransform platform is intuitive and flexible, which made it easy for our team to get started, even with complex transformations. What stands out is the ability to configure how incoming data should be interpreted and transformed, and then let the system handle it automatically.
Once a format is set up, it can be reused, which saves a considerable amount of time as we onboard new carriers or process recurring files.

The setup would be rather keeping the same format as it was previously given, as long as carrier changes the logic in the small corner or bring in additional factor to complicate the data format, the initial setup phase can take some time to define or readjust how it should be mapped.
That said, once this is in place, the system runs smoothly and requires very little ongoing effort for a fixed structure file. For teams dealing with lower volumes or already standardized data, the value might be less immediate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
