**What do you like best about Vigilis?**

Honestly, the best thing is that I no longer have to think about it. Before Vigilis, our telecom and circuit invoices were a significant, uncontrolled line item in my budget. I was burning valuable IT headcount on the painful, manual task of reconciling carrier bills, and I knew we were still leaving money on the table. It was a classic "black box" problem – money was going out, but we had no real visibility into whether it was correct.

The implementation was refreshingly simple. We just started forwarding our invoices, and the platform immediately got to work. We had a single discrepancy that had been draining our budget for who knows how long.

For me, the value is twofold. First, the ROI is a no-brainer; the platform paid for itself within the first quarter just on the errors it caught. Second, and more importantly, it freed up my team. They're now focused on strategic initiatives that move the business forward, not chasing down billing disputes with carriers. Vigilis turned a chaotic cost center into a predictable, optimized part of our operation.

**What do you dislike about Vigilis?**

This is a small gripe in the grand scheme of things, but I'd like to see more robust, customizable reporting dashboards geared toward different stakeholders.

The current dashboards are great for my IT operations team, they get all the granular detail they need. But when I'm prepping for a QBR or need to give our CFO a high-level summary, I have to export the data and shape it myself.

It's not a huge deal, but having the ability to build and save a "CFO-view" dashboard directly in the platform would be a fantastic enhancement. Right now, it’s a minor friction point in an otherwise seamless experience. It gets the job done, but it could be slicker for executive-level reporting.

**What problems is Vigilis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vigilis is solving two fundamental problems that were a constant source of friction and a drain on my budget:

1. The "Black Box" of Telecom OPEX: Our carrier and circuit invoices are incredibly complex, with hundreds of line items. Manually auditing them was not just impractical; it was impossible to do effectively. This created a financial black box where we were almost certainly overpaying due to billing errors, incorrect rates, or charges for disconnected services. We were leaking money every month but had no efficient way to find and plug the holes.

2. The Misallocation of Skilled Resources: I had highly-skilled (and expensive) IT staff spending a significant portion of their time on low-value administrative work—chasing down invoices and trying to decipher them with spreadsheets. It was a frustrating and inefficient use of their talent, pulling them away from critical projects that actually drive the business forward.

The benefits to my organization have been direct and substantial:

Immediate ROI and Financial Control: The biggest benefit is tangible cost savings. By automatically auditing every line item against our contracts, Vigilis turned the lights on in that black box. We now have complete financial control and predictability. The platform catches MRC and NRC discrepancies we never would have found manually, and the money we've recovered has made the investment in Vigilis a clear financial win.

Increased Team Efficiency and Strategic Focus: My team is now free. Instead of being bogged down in reactive, administrative tasks, they are focused on strategic initiatives—improving network performance, planning cloud migrations, and enhancing our security posture. Their morale is higher, their work is more valuable, and as a department, we are far more effective. Vigilis gave me my strategic team back.
