My security and IT team can grant me access just by waving my phone over a small device on the wall. It's very convenient for gaining easy access to the building, restrooms, and office spaces, with everyone having a key connected to their phone or smartwatch. **What do you dislike about Verkada?** There's no backup if I forget my phone. With both indoor and outdoor cameras, we get clear, reliable coverage of key areas. It’s easy to use, with cloud access that lets us check footage anytime, from anywhere. The motion alerts are helpful, and sharing clips is simple. Overall, it’s made our space feel safer and more secure and when we need assistance, the customer service is exceptional. Additionally, they reliably work even in our extreme temperatures, still offering video even at temperatures of -50F. **What do you dislike about Verkada?** Our downsides would be related to having to rely on internet in an area where internet can be spotty and the costs of the annual license. The cost is not unreasonable, the costs do give access to reliable and helpful service, but as a small non-profit, we look at every dollar spent, and this is worth or while, but we do wince when paying the bill. **What problems is Verkada solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a 38,00 sq ft commercial building that sees foot traffic of over 160,000 people/year. We monitor activity in and around the facility, and are able to keep an eye on what is happening. We are working hard to extend this camera system, as it serves our needs, and hope to be able to implement that plan. It allows us to be able to keep on things remotely, offer an exterior webcam (our Antler Arch) for people to enjoy from our web page. ### 4. The service is great when needed and the products that we have had since the beginning of our partnership with Verkada are still going strong. **What do you dislike about Verkada?** I’ve had two issues that I can think of off the top of my head. One being that ‘tailgating’ is found even if the users coming thru the door both scan their badge. Two being the “unknown user” when scanning a badge from a wallet. There has to be a way to adjust this. We currently installed a keypad on our turnstile and ever since the keypad was installed, we receive so many “unknown user” errors. **What problems is Verkada solving and how is that benefiting you?** Currently working on a project to look at installing cameras in our warehouse to assist with inventory control and fines we receive from our customers for missing products and not shipping in full. ### 6. If something does come up, I trust that the customer support team will be able to guide me through it. The Command Dashboard has also significantly improved the end user experience, making it much easier and more efficient to review footage and events without the need for a thick client. **What do you dislike about Verkada?** So far, I haven't encountered a situation where I couldn't find a solution or at least make progress toward finding a suitable product. **What problems is Verkada solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a need to have video captured over ingredient mixing areas. Being able to track events down to a specific time window helps reduce the costs of throwing away more product as a result of a broad timeline, we can use vide to isolate down to very small window and know which part of a batch needs invalidated. ### 9. Licesnsing makes it hard to budget for implementing Verkada when certain programs can't swallow a yearly license fee going forward. **What problems is Verkada solving and how is that benefiting you?** Video archiving and recalling footage is superior with Verkada, compared to traditional DVR/NVR and CCTV. Is also has great user management for access control, and access to view cameras. The interface is simple so that even non-technical staff can learn how to use it. ### 10. At times, the panic buttons also go offline, which makes us less confident that they will function properly in an emergency. **What problems is Verkada solving and how is that benefiting you?** Panic buttons and surveillance. Verkada offers video camera, sensors, and other security measures.
